The sense of irritation kicked in.
"Just someone's from long ago, nothing more-nothing less."
It was better to keep it short. He glanced from behind his hand.
'Will he ever learn? He'll end up freezing this winter going around dressed like that.'

The short reply had Leonis a little tongue tied. This man clearly didn't wish to speak to him, and the Duodecim was filled with frustration. What did he want? He tried to act like a servant, but wasn't treated like one, being bought and made different clothes. He tried to speak to Crest, but was given short clipped answers, that showed the man's disinterest in what he said.
Putting on a small fake smile as he felt his stomach twist and tighten with the feeling; he nodded.
"Oh..O-okay.."
It was a dumb reply, but he had nothing else to say.
He quickly turned, moving back into the room and looking about, eventually finding hid dust coated clothes, he could salvage the underwear that was fine, but the maids outfit was filthy. With them on he sat back on the edge of the bath, tucked out of sight with the door pushed to; where he could just sit in his own misery. Why did the man hate him so much?

Crest didn't want to face that room again and the Angel brought it upon himself for refuseing the help.
"The defenseless thing better start standing up for himself, he is going to get pushed around if he doesn't."
This was his irritation, the Duodecim better find out and quick that his naive attitude is going to earn him the lowest rank in the house.
"When he is so damn cute like that, I can't help it! Hell."

Leonis had finished washing his maid clothes in the sink, wishing that he had been given boy's ones; but when he had asked Crest, the man had told him, to just stay in his room. With a slightly agitated sigh, he rung the water out of them, and tucked them over the heated towel wrack to dry.
"I wish I was less of a bother to him.."
He was talking to himself really; as he tried to think of something he could do. Then an idea hit him. He could tidy up that dusty old room!
Make it spick and span and sparkling new; so Crest could use it again! Pleased with the idea, he was just waiting for his clothes to dry, now focused, he just had to ignore the clothing issue.

Skipping out on the noon meal made his emoty stomach growel loudly, though he was 95% android, it had so much human characteristics. Crest looked at the closed bathroom door as he passed it.
'Hell.'
He roughly finger combed his blond hair back.

As soon as the clothes were dry, he put them on in a hurried fashion; his light blue eyes bright with the sudden enthusiasm.
Rushing out, he headed to find one of the caretaker servants, who with a little gentle persuasion, gave him the cleaning chemicals, a mop, a bucket, several duster sheets, glass polish, and other essentials. Leonis scurried off to the empty room, slipping in and shutting the door. He slowly got to work, brightening up the room, by pulling back the curtains and gradually cleaning, mending and sprucing it up; engrossed in the task.
The servant from earlier passed the dining hall entrance with a fellow slave, talking about the Duodecim.
"I know he's a boy, but that Duodecim is too feminine, did you see'im in tha' outfit?" He joked about it with the fellow worker as they headed down the hall.

His ear's perked at the mention of Leonis from beyond the kitchen door!
"Even the household staff aren't aware of their surroundings, I am always listening."
"Sir, there is a call for you." One of the butler's handed him the phone.
"Ai-oh....." He began speking in another tongue, bargining Early Winter gaurds for a local caravan. "Ced ta reb."
He closed the deal.

Leonis was working quickly; the tall mirrors in the room, cobweb free and polished, light pouring in, all the dusty white sheets pulled back. Brass ornaments polished, woodwork on the poster bed, waxed, sheets re-covered, it smelt fresh and clean and new.
A passing nurse caught the scene and her eyes widened at what he was doing, she scurried off to find the master of the house. Pausing to allow him to finish his conversation, she whispered in his ear, alerting him of what Leonis was up to.

Crest fisted his hands after chugging down a full jug of milk.
"Let him be, I'll deal with him tonight."
He felt as if that one memory would take over, he stomped on it, jumped on it and shoved it back down into the dark depths of his soul. His anger anew. He clambered for a chance to whip on of the stubborn men in the holding cell's below. He vanished towards the door, one of the slave tendants had almost already started to whip one of them. He took the whip from his hand and let the leather fly.
The idea came to him, yes he would inflict such pain, leaving Leonis in near death only to nurse him back to health to do it again and again.

The room was now completely clean,no dirt, dust or cobweb in sight and Leonis stood back, surfaces gleaming, bed sheets clean and fresh, broken furniture mended. He was pleased, it had been hard work, not labouring, but difficult at times.
His knees were littered with scuffs and little scrapes, edge of the dress a little tatty, shoulders achy and scuffs on his hands, it had taken him a while too.
He knew there were splinters he needed to get back out of his wings from his several attempts, the last one successful, of putting that shelf up.
'He's going to be pleased, I just know it!' The naive creature thought.
The angel left the room, returning all the cleaning and repair equipment, a little hungry, as he hadn't eaten yet, but all the more enthusiastic to find Crest and tell him.
His search a little unsuccessful, he just sat in the lounge, waiting for now, as a servant had told him the master was busy.

Crest grabbed a pair of manucle handcuffs from the security room in the holding cell's and a leather flogging whip. Tucking them into one of his large leather pockets in his pants. He would keep a straight face, keeping Leonis to guess his mood. He went to go eat dinner and saw that the Angel was waiting there for his food.

Leonis looked up, seeing Crest approach him, and he smiled. A proper warm smile, standing up as the master of the house neared, he spoke up.
He knew there were splinters he needed to get back out of his wings from his several attempts, the last one successful, of putting that shelf up.
"I-I've managed to do s-something useful today..w-would you like to see?" Duodecim were kind creatures, and when trying to please others they really tried. Life alone for one was usually a little hard as they required companionship.
And it was that, that Leonis was desperately trying to seek in Crest, despite his usually angry temper and stern behaviour.

He knew but didn't say, no use letting the little one catch on for he had something in store for him. All the maids kept clear of the room and he instructed eailer to one of the fledgeing's to cover it all back up and to lock the room after he had finished. Then play a game to confuse the small mind.
"If it is to my likeing after I see, then I will judge how useful you have been."
He kept himself monotone.

Nodding, with an animated expression, he headed back down the corridor, and to the room. After trying the door he frowned, it was shut? No.. Locked.
He tried it again a few times.
"Maybe the door is jammed shut..Do you have a key?" The Duodecium turned with a look of bewilderment, to Crest.

"Key? No, there is only one key for each room. If it gets lost, its lost, only the key's that are used the most are on the ring. You could have the wrong room."
Crest looked out the window as a wallow bird flew past, yes these birds migrated in early winter, sometimes in flocks or by themselves. His hand carressed the thin parlor neck above the collar.
