Bray whimpered as Rayn shifted him so he could hold him. Bray was glad the other was close. It was soothing to him to know the other was there and cared enough to help him after his transformation. The pain was soothing away as his body adjusted to his change.
Bray's breath was uneven as he had barely been able to breath while transforming. He was gaining it back slowly when Rayn called his name. Bray looked up and Rayn said his name and the other kissed his head between his ears. Bray gave another whine as Rayn pet him but it was a more content whine. After a few minutes Bray shifted to get up he stumbled at first but stood none the less. When standing he butted his head against Rayn's chest gently to indicate he was ready.

Rayn softly stroked between Bray's ears as his breathing slowly steadied to its normal speed. The human had no idea shifting could be so painful, until now. he hated seeing Bray suffer like that, but he knew it was a part of him.
When hsi chest was nudged, he knew Bray wanted to go. "Alright" he whispered, kissing Bray's muzzle. "Let's go"

Bray was glad for Rayn's comfort as his body calmed its self from its shift. Shaking his head he gave a small yip as he was kissed before darting out of the bathroom and to the front door. The sun was just rising which meant his father's pack would just be shifting back. There was a good chance no one would come look for him immediately.

Rayn followed the wolf and ran out the door, finding that running with a gun in his waistline was awkward, but entirely do-able. he looked around for humans while Brey seemed to be looking for wolves, and couldn't find anyone around. This early, only the bakers -by name and by trade- would be awake, but they were relitavely nice and also on the other side fo the village. "Alright, I think we're okay" he whispered, knowing Bray could hear him. "Let's go"

Bray ran ahead of Rayn before stopping and waiting for the other. Bray was constantly scenting the air and listening intently to anything that could signal his father's pack. Bray nodded when the other said that they were okay and it was time to go. He didn't bark or give a yelp in fear of being heard.

The human ran through the village with his wolf, leading him through back streets and 'short cuts' as they made their way. He ran as fast as he could for as long as he could, his determination to get Bray away from his old pack driving him to hold out longer than he ever had. Blood boiling, Rayn ran on par with Bray, sweat dripping from his forhead while the wolf merely breathed a little deeper. They were well beyond the village before the human allowed himself to slow down at all, and only then because they had come to a bridge that connected his own village to another across a lake.

Bray followed Rayn through all the back alleyway cautious but closely. He was afraid they would get ambushed at any point and in the small area they would be nearly defenseless. When they finally broke away from the village Bray felt better but then he was concerned about Rayn who seemed to be laboring to continue. Bray moved in front of Rayn and stopped wanting to check over the other.

Rayn was panting silently when they finally stoped running. Though he was glad for a break, he didnt' want Bray thinking he was so weak that a short run would exhaust him. "I'm fine" he said, probably a little too unsteadly by the look the wolf was giving him "Really..I am. Come on, we need to get you as far away as we can" The human started to walk, making sure not to go any faster than that until he was positive Bray would follow him.

Bray sniffed around Rayn when the other stopped scenting the exhaustion on the other. Bray didn't believe the other when he said he was fine but he didn't question Rayn or protest. He followed when the other began walking trying to come up with a way to transport them quicker.

Rayn reached down and patted Bray's head softly as they started to walk. His mate was worried abotu him, that much he knew. But Bray's safety was mroe important that his own right now, so Rayn would push himself till he passed out if he had to. He smiled after a second and began to pick up speed, and soon they were both runing once again. As they neared the bridge, Rayn made sure to look at his surroundings. There was no obvious path from the forest to this opening except through his village, so if Bray's pack did follow them, they would be able to see them coming. And once they were over the bridge, they would have at least a day's head start before the pack even realized where Bray had run off to.

Bray looked up as Rayn patted his head. Bray gave a sharp bark of protest when Rayn picked up speed again. Bray didn't want Rayn to push himself too far to hurting himself. He followed Rayn running beside him, he wanted the other to slow down so they might find another form of transportation. Bray gave another sharp bark and stopped running. He would not go any further if it meant Rayn would harm himself.

Rayn noticed Bray bark, but ignored it at first. He knew his mate didnt' want him exerting himself so much, but what other choice did he have? He needed to get Bray safe. He kept running for a minute before another loud bark came form behind him, and Rayn realized Bray had stopped. He stumled a bit when he tried to stop short, but kept his balance and quickly walked back over to the wolf. "Bray" he pleaded softly "Please, we need to get you out of here. I know you don't want me to force myself, but if the alternative is having to fight your pack and possibly getting you hurt again, I'd rather run until I die." The human got down on one knee before the wolf and looked into his eyes. "please, Bray. I need you to be safe"

Bray wagged his tail as Rayn approached him after he had stopped. Bray's tail ceased wagging when Rayn spoke with him pleading. Bray gave a whine in response. Rayn was right he didn't want the other pushing himself to far. Bray butted his head against the other to let him know that there would be no point in running if Rayn collapsed. Bray looked around trying to find another way to move than running all say whining as he did.

He knew going into this battle that he would lose. Bray was much more stubborn than he was, after all. "Alright" he sighed softly, relaxing his muscles "Alright Bray, we'll find another way to get around" Rayn stroked between his love's ears and kissed his muzzle softly before sitting down and scanning their surroundings. There was an old dock underneath the bridge that looked all but abandoned, but maybe some kid had left a bike or something they could 'borrow.'
With a soft sigh, the human stood and slowly made his way to the dock. He made sure not to go too fast and make Bray think he ws going back on what he'd said. When he reached the dock, a wide grgin crossed his features. "Hey Bray" he said with a smile "There's a conue over here. we can go down the river instead of walking"

Bray gave a pleading whimper knowing that he was going against what his alpha wanted. Something he had never considered doing before but he didn't want Rayn to push too far to save him. When the other conceded he relaxed a bit and even more so when the man showed him affection.
When Rayn began walking again Bray followed at a slow pace. When the other smiled the dark colored wolf grew confused. Canoe...what was a canoe, the wolf wondered as he ventured forward looking puzzled at Rayn.
