"Oh yeah!" Emelia said, perking up. She fished around in her clothes to pull out the package for her mother. "Here Mom!"
Liliana finished unwrapping the dress from Kora. She smiled, interested in the fact she could see it. There was energy in it but she didn't know if it was just so she could see it or if it had some type of enhancement. "Thank you Kora." She smiled at her daughter while taking her package.

"Hehe, your welcome. You will be surprising of the good use this dress can do. It will come in handy of cutting all your "arcane spells in haft", though there's not that much room to carry weapons than normal." She told her of what it douse.

Emelia sat beside the flowers, running her energy-coated fingers through them as her mind wandered. It had been a while now since her mother and Cain had vanished, leaving her to take care of the rouge of The Spire. She had done her best but never saw what her mother saw and knew. She could never be sure she led them in the right direction. Sighing, Emelia stood and dusted off her dress. Reaching into a pocket, Emelia pulled out a scuffed up orb that started to play music for her. It was the closest she came to feeling her mother again. She knew Liliana wasn't dead, because the connection she had with her never burned. But where she was, Emelia would never even begin to fathom. But so long as her mother was alive, she could rest a little easier. Smiling, she tucked away the orb while it continued otplay, making her way upward to check on her rouges.

Stepping through the path in the energy flowers, Emelia guided Haruki towards her living quarters. Offering him a seat in one of the big squishy chairs dotting the living room, Emelia stepped into another room. The sound of paper rustling could be heard. "What do you know of the Sins?" she asked from the other room.

That was vague enough to not be a lie...Haruki knew what happened with Pix, but that was the extent of it. "Aren't they monsters? If I recall correctly...they feed off of, and enhance their respective vices. Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy...and Pride." Beyond that, Haruki knew little...he'd gathered a small amount of information on them, and resolved to hunt them, but how could he kill another being just to kill a vice? "I know little beyond their names and habits."

Emelia walked back in with a stack of papers and a rolled one under her arm. Gone was her friendly expression, replaced with an almost haunted look. "No. They're worse than monsters. Yes, they feed on a vice. But even if you didn't partake in the vice before, they will twist you into doing so before too long," Emelia said in a dark tone, one that spoke of experience. She still felt Gluttony's hunger from time to time. As well as Pride's vanity. But she worked hard to not fall into those traps again. Unrolling the rolled paper, she revealed it to be a map of Axiom. "My network of informants have alerted me to the place that housed these... things has reappeared in our world. Which means the Sins are returning. We are narrowing down the exact location of this tower but so far have not gotten close." Laying out the other sheets, Haruki would find the trails of Sin Holders from the last time. Each one of them and how they connected all the way up until the Sins vanished from the world six years ago. And Haruki would be able to see the ones who held a Sin at the time of vanishing: Liliana, Fenrir, Nai, and Emelia. "There has to be a pattern. If we find a pattern, we can predict any new sin holders. That's my belief anyway." She smiled. "The power of my rouges is the power to gather information like no other nation is able to. They bare no emblems and leave no trace. Should there ever end up a corrupt ruler of them, The Spire is the place you should worry of the most. Should I end up marked by them again, remember this."

If we end up accepting it then we give those sins a foothold to take over everything that makes us." Haruki looked down at the map, relaying the information to Ignis. "Ah...that sounds lovely, do you not agree, Master? You've lost a lot to the sins in the past, so it's only right you repay them in full should they be found." Haruki frowned, dismissing Ignis' thoughts on the matter. "No, you know me, Ignis. I don't do these things for myself...I'm not strong enough alone if it comes down to it." The worried look didn't leave his face when Emelia told him that the home of the creatures had been reborn. Haruki looked over to the other sheet with a look of mild surprise on his face. "These are...I know these people." Haruki wasn't surprised that Fenrir was a host, but Liliana, Nai, and Emelia all were afflicted by the creatures at one point in time? It was something he wouldn't have been able to guess by looking at them. "Emelia was strong to endure...even now, I feel like she's striving to do what's right. The question is...what counts as right to her? Does it coincide with both Srin and Kora's beliefs, I wonder?" Haruki silently focused on the information, but he wasn't picking up anything. "Maybe it's because I never personally encountered a Sin, but I see no pattern in the choosing of hosts. It seems like completely sporadic choice." After Emelia warned him that he should worry should the Spire be controlled by a corrupted individual, he looked up at her with sharp eyes. "Emelia, I don't know you that well, but I have faith you won't fall. Even if you choose not to lend your strength to me, everything I am will be yours. I owe it to Liliana, yes, but I also made a promise to protect those in need of it. I assure you I'll do everything in my power to prevent you from becoming a host twice over. I'll even bet my soul on it." Ignis seemed completely shocked by the idea of Haruki working to defend strangers. "Master, don't be so brash! How can you possibly promise to protect everyone in the world knowing you'll fail?! Even if you say you'll defend her, don't say something as foolish as putting not only your body, but your SOUL on the line!"

"We are citizens of the world. We lend our strength when the world is in need of it. Not just one nation. Until such a time, I and my Rouges will worry for that which transpires within our Spire." Emelia sat down herself, thumbing through the pages. "And right now, the world needs us. The tower returning does not sit well. The unrest in Nocturne over Daddy Srin's decision to turn the land back over to perpetual night instead of righting its course is just another symptom. The vicious wild growth that was fought back in Kranila is another." Emelia reached into her clothes and pulled out a small book. It looked to be a diary. Opening it, Emelia read aloud, "And it was the small spots that I couldn't see, making up the bigger problem. It smelled of death and blood once more. I need to find one last fail safe for the Spire. For my people. And most of all, for my daughter. I know I'm the last Champion of this generation. The others have vanished or perished. I can't get The Fates to let me see the next part of their Fabric. No. For the first time in a very long time, a seer walks truly blind." Closing the diary, Emelia stored it back away. "My mother wrote that after one of her more vivid visions. A week later, while attempting a spell she thought would help us, she and Daddy Cain were pulled from our world. Both have been gone since. That was three years ago. And each entry, each dictated scribble, always pointed me to the Sins returning. We're starting to see the small spots that she couldn't. The civil unrest. The lashing from Nature. The return of the Tower. The Sins are going to return. But somehow, it feels that's only the tip of the iceberg this time."

Haruki supposed he'd never have his answer if Liliana was truly gone. He couldn't imagine how tortured Liliana must've felt near the end. "I couldn't imagine even more than the Sins returning...certainly not if they're the least of our worries. They had the ability to tear nations asunder with hardly any effort involved on their part. The domino effect was more than enough to topple even kings." Haruki rested his index finger on his chin, attempting to think on what he'd learned in his time here. "I'm glad I was correct in my assumption. You, Mister Srin, and Sister Kora are all feeling the same suffocating feeling that I am...but I'm glad you were able to reveal more." Perhaps glad wasn't the word...he was grateful, yes, but this was a dangerous situation. "I regret trying to probe you for more information, Lady Emelia, since you've revealed so much, but do you have any idea what might come so I can prepare for it better? The Sins I can handle, but the unknown I can't even begin to understand."

"Unfortunately, no," Emelia said. "While my network of information is vast, it is not all knowing. More than likely, a Sin would need to show itself somewhere in the world for us to know more." Emelia stood, gathering up the materials. "I will give you fair warning. Since it is only fair with your visit. I have my eyes and ears well within your nation. All the nations to be exact but you're the first ruler I have alerted this to. If you truly wish for alliance, do not try to root them out. They are only there to serve their 'nation' of the whole of Axiom. They are not there to attack you." Emelia moved into the other room to put all the notes and the map away.

Haruki stood up, thinking that it was just a little sad that she had to give him a warning...he wouldn't even have thought about it considering how she trusted him with that information. "I don't know if she saw me as such as we only rarely communicated, but I saw your mother as a dear friend. I would never betray her trust, and I wouldn't betray yours either, so please, believe me when I say your people are safe, no matter who they are." Haruki nodded, certain that he could prove his goodwill in some way. "You and I have similar goals, do we not? Even though I have sovereignity in Pronta, Axiom is my home before a single nation is. I promise you that they will go unhindered." Ignis sighed, how could Haruki keep promising all of these things? She could feel it...Haruki felt like Emelia was right, and in the way of things, he respected her for that. "My words may be empty to you, but perhaps you already see for yourself what I believe in?"

Emelia returned to the room, walking up to Haruki. She stroked one of his ears, enjoying the feel of its fur. But more importantly to gain a connection to him. "My mother had many allies, and many friends. I wouldn't be able to even start naming them all. I d know your name among them. I know what you believe in. That's why I let you know their presence. They can aid you as well, should you truly need it." Emelia stepped away. "'The world needs her children.' Use those words and they will help you."

Haruki found himself purring on habit as she stroked one of his ears, but he quickly silenced himself as to appear professional once again. Haruki bowed deeply to Emelia, thanking her for her words. "I thank you for talking the time to speak with me. I truly owe you more than I could ever repay, Lady Emelia." He respected her composure and grace...no, it was more like he admired her for it rather than respecting her for it. Haruki rose back up to his feet, smiling softly. Now that his business here was finished he could return to Pronta...but it was far too soon. In all other respective nations, Haruki found himself occupied by something due to his naturally unfocused nature. "I would ask if you would give me the honor of hearing you play again. I, myself, can't play a musical instrument, but I find it soothing to listen to others." Perhaps it was because Haruki was, in nature, partially a beast? "I apologize for making such a selfish request with nothing to give you in return..."

He waited for her to finish before speaking, mostly because he found himself...enthralled by her performance. "That was a beautiful song. Does it have a name?" Haruki couldn't play an instrument to save his life, but due to his weakness, he'd assume he had an ear for music. Emelia was just as good as Feather, but...that was far past now. She was gone and he was here...and that was fate. "Also, you're quite good. Could you teach me to play as well? I...want to be able to do something besides hurt people one day."
