"Always a pleasure, and groups of four sounds pretty decent. Gives two a chance to work defense, two for offense. Or two for diplomacy, two for sheer muscle." Gamma 10 shifted his weight from one foot to another, a little ill at ease standing as he was. His side hurt and he really wished he knew what was going on. Maybe there'd be a way for him to heal himself up and get back on the road - he needed to be at his best if he wanted to see this story through. "I'm not sure how I'll stand in either if you go for any suggestions of mine, but I'm willing to follow any good leader."

Eight blinked and nodded. Actually? The new guy made sense! That was damn helpful in a time like this. She eyed 2 and 12, knowing that having both may heighten chances of survival but could help others as well. She still wasn't keen on killing everyone she saw.
"You should go with 2 and 7. We can find a fourth." Why she had so much faith in those two teammates was beyond even her, but they had proved themselves so far. She turned, of course, to 2, who had been the main processor of plans thus far.

((Gamma Five entering the base! Just a note, she has a big nasty gash on her arm, so touching her right arm might be bad xD 17 hp left o 3o))
xxxxxGamma five had dashed through the woods after the fight with the giant horse, and adrenaline had carried her back to the fortress. Some fortress, that is. She hadn't really gotten a look at it last time, because she had rushed out the door so quickly and upset at the time. The whole of the base was just a green tent with and olive tarp-like material covering it. She could hear by the voices inside, that they were already busy talking of another strategy.
xxxxxIt was true, Five had decided she was in this, regardless of what happened. But it wasn't exactly easy to crumble 12 years of the moral "killing people is bad." Still, Five took a deep breath, and entered the tent.
xxxxxOnce inside, she saw a few new gamma members, ones she had simply missed or not seen before. They were already talking about a plan to take out the Etas. Five couldn't help but feel a bit sad, when she remembered the Eta who had comforted her. Shaking her head, she remembered her promise though. In it to win it.
xxxxx"I ... I'd like to help ..." she said, a squeak really. Gaining a bit of courage, she said just a teensy bit louder, "I'd like to help, what can I do!" She realized how ludacris it all was. Why would they want a child to help them? Especially one that was injured like she was. Five wiggled her arm a little, and then winced from the pain. She couldn't do anything useful. That was already proven in the battle against the horse.

8 arched a brow at 5. She would honestly rather have 3 on her team than a child. What did a child know of life and death, of fighting? She frowned deeply, but said nothing else.

((G9 entering base))
Nine walked in, she had just gotten back from the battle with the demon horse thing and was in desperate need of finding a group to not stick with and try to battle through everyone else with.
"I vould like join a group. Vat is plan right now? Vho is next target?" she looked towards Gamma Eight, since she... he? They seemed to be pretty involved so far. Nine wasn't a psychopath bent of killing everything in sight, but since this was for survival, she wasn't against it.

As he rested from the Hellhorse battle that didn't take too much out of him, he finally got the chance to open his cell phone, to see the messages about the Cove.
Hmm...What was in the cove, and why were those people summoned there? Not to mention, Delta and Theta...there were clearly other teams somewhere on the island. Now it wasn't twenty-four people fighting to be one of thirteen, it sounded like there would be a lot more...and that was a little distressing.
While he scrolled through the messages, he heard everything that was going on around him from the odd news of Twelve's appearance right through to the attempted groupings, even raising his hand in a wave to Ten when his number was called out. The most amusing thing to him so far though, was the fact that Eight seemed dead set on not having him in her group.
That was awesome.
"I'll go where ever Two is." Two seemed like an awesome guy, he liked two so far. Though, he added mentally, he wanted to go find Eta Nine as well; she seemed like a good team member. Leaving the party choices up to Two, Seven turned to sit up properly on his cot, holding out his cell phone.
"Has anyone here heard of the Cove until now? I mean, outside of the map and the text...?" He had to wonder what was out there, it seemed pretty damned important after all! He had more to say, more introductions to make, and a fun-accented person to talk to...but over everything he had to do, he found himself staring at little Five, and her request to be helpful. Hm.
"I have an idea." He started, getting to his feet and hooking the phone back into his belt. "You're small. How about you go ahead on your own and do some enemy scouting?" Seven's mask turned as he looked around the room. "We'll go from whatever the Midget finds?" And go get Eta Nine, he added mentally once more.

8 perked somewhat and turned to 9. Well, he (she?) would make a better addition than the child, if nothing else. Still, she wasn't going to make any friends deciding on teams herself. She'd rather not be attacked by gangs of her own squad. Again she somewhat retracted into herself, beneath those who had asserted themselves as leaders.
"We're going to split into groups and... wait, I guess. Wait to take down the blue teams. I guess that's all..."

For a little longer, yII remained silent as he listened to the rest, thinking about team make up. It was too bad there wasn't a second healer around. It would be rather nice if there was.
"Pleasure to meet you Ten," he said from his cot. The guy sounded pretty reasonable, which was a good sign, "Wouldn't mind having you on board."
A higher pitched voice caught his ears, causing him to turn to look towards the short statured Gamma Five. He had only seen her at a glimpse earlier. There... couldn't seriously be a kid here. That had to be a little person. It had to. Well regardless, he raised a brow at yVII's suggestion.
"I still don't really think it's wise for any of us to be setting out alone," he commented in a fairly neutral if not slightly amused tone, "But no, I haven't heard of it... Any idea what it is?"

"Then Nine, you can come with us," Eight nodded, glancing toward the child. No, not a child. A number in an empty suit. A liability. Who ever ended up with her would be hard-pressed to survive, and who ever got attached to her was in deep trouble.
"I don't know what the Cove is, but I don't think I want to be there."

Frowning some at yVIII's answer, he did have to wonder more on this cove. Checking the phone finally as well, he took note of the four identities that were called out. As suspected, there were other teams out there. There was something slightly fishy about it, but he supposed he would deal with this cove should he ever be selected.
"Gamma One... do you have any bandages to spare?" he asked gently. yI was the only medic and if they were to be splitting up, it may be within their best interests as a whole to try and patch up a couple wounds before setting out again.

xxxxxFive wasn't stupid. She saw the stares they gave her. The fact that she was a child meant she was incompetent. Unable of any assistance. A liability. The scouting idea sounded more like a suicide mission than a form of helpfulness. Five looked down at her toes, trying to hide her dissatisfaction with their doubts. It was true though, what Gamma Two had said. She didn't want to go alone. Not out there. She had already been out there once by herself. Where did that get her? Sleeping under a tree.
xxxxxBut that would get her no where. Five balled her hands into fists and said, "N-no. I'll go. When I come back, y-you guys can go fight." Her words weren't reassuring at all, and they held no confidence, but they were said nonetheless. Of course, if someone offered to go with her, she would happily hide behind them, like a big shield for a small cat. It was a good thing they couldn't see how brightly she was blushing, because then they really would have lost it.

Nine nodded to Eight, she was glad to be going with a group that seemed competent and able. Although she said nothing about it, Nine was in agreement with the others, this was no place for a whiny kid. She couldn't be quite sure if the shorter female was a kid or just a midget, but either way, she was screwed.
"Cove does sound bad," Nine added, murmuring the words mostly to herself. Where would they be going next? Since she hadn't been here for any strategical game planning beforehand, she though she'd ask, "Vill ve destroy ozers in town before moving onvard?" He question was crudely fashioned, but hopefully it made enough sense that the others would understand.
At the question that Two proposed to One, Nine turned, nodding in agreement. She had suffered a few wounds herself and could use a little bit of medical assistance. "Ve should make sure ve prepared fur battle, heal many vounds."

Although she had briefly headed recruiting, 8 was not totally sure of her own planning. Had she ever had experience in a war scenario? She couldn't be sure. She didn't think so.
Instead, she looked again to 2 and 12.
"We... we have to keep close, in case we need help, but...?"

Glancing back at yV as she insisted on going, yII frowned and shook his head. She didn't sound confident at all which had him wondering exactly what was going on through her mind but that was a rather foolish decision of hers.
"If you want to go out there on your own that bad, I won't stop you," He said before turning towards the others to readdress their situation. yII took a moment or so to consider their options regarding their blue neighbors. If they were taken out, there would be less competitors to deal with. However, that was incredibly risky.
"The blue team... as far as I know haven't shown any signs of hostility towards us.. yet," he started, "If we are going to wage war on them, we will have to be careful and try to plan out the attack as much as we can or things could backfire horrendously for us."
"On the other hand, it seems like this island holds its fair share of hazards for us. We could try to take a more defensive hold and deal with whatever comes our way, letting those hazards take care of our neighbors."

"She's small, I'm sure she'll be fine. Hiding in corners and whatnot." Gamma Seven was clearly not worried about the wellbeing of their littlest team member, waving a gloved hand in dismissal. He had no idea of her age; the gas masks and the armor did a good job of covering up any defining physical traits outside of general body size and voice. As far as Seven was concerned, Five was just a small, squeaky voiced woman. There was no way they would let a child on the island, that would just be stupid.
It did make him wonder how old he was. What colour his eyes were, or his hair...or what kind of person he was before. That occasional dry mouth he experienced, the way his chest sometimes tightened, why he sometimes felt the need to put his hand to his mouth...it was curious. It felt like habit, but he had no memory to back it up...
"N' there, see? She wants to go. Well, might as well get a head start, then!" He urged, ignoring his thoughts the moment Five agreed, his voice pitching into an obviously forced, almost sarcastic brand of happy, making shooing motions with his gloved hands. When the heavily accented Nine's plan of attack came up, Seven debated his next words...and then heard Two continue on about going defensive rather than offensive.
"Hrm, I think we should find a happy medium. Stay alive, stay careful, but don't hesitate to go on the offense if the situation calls for it." Like, say, a single person heading out on their own, or a group smaller than theirs. Of course, Seven was still hellbound on getting Eta Nine; they had made an alliance after all, and with what happened during the whole Hellhorse fiasco...he mostly trusted her.
"We should hurry it up I think...we've been here for a while as is, we're kind of sitting ducks." Their missing comerades had it right; there was a clear lack of Gamma Three in this place, and he could only assume she was dead or ran off with that Eta person.
