Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence.

The official introduction of Lucian and Hannah drew another polite smile. They both seemed nice, and vaguely reminded her of her own family. Rebecca was used to be as shy as this girl was now, so she did her best not to appear initimidating, though with her slight frame she never believed her self to seem scary at all. "It's nice to meet you as well." Perhaps someday she would run into the two again, so she wanted to make a good impression. Before she spoke again, she felt a thread of thought approach her, though she made no effort to block it, not when she heard the words. They caused her to turn towards Simon, her brow raised slightly as she processed his thought. "You make a good point." she told him quietly, a soft smile appearing as she realized that that may be the reason they had gotten along at the ball.

User Image Simon smiled as she responded, it meant that she had caught that trail of thought "I try." he said chortling a little more, he played some more chords on the guitar, he pondered some things, generally specifics of her powers... but thought better of it, "She tries her best to keep it in check, it'd make her life easier to avoid talking about it." he knew enough about her powers and decided it better for her generally to not bring it up, "So anything interesting happen since we met?" he asked wanting to talk, as he almost always did, but not having much anything intelligent to say.

Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence.

After eyeing an old file cabinet, she propped herself onto it, adjusting her legs so that she could sit comfortably. She wasn't too worried about the dust, as her jeans were a dark shade of blue, and she hadn't made any plans to anywhere else that day, so she would be able to throw them into the wash fairly soon. Still, she was comfortable being here, a fact that was mildly surprising to her. Perhaps it was because she was still able to keep at bay most thoughts, as her recent meditation had helped to clear her own mind; that, and she found that she enjoyed talking to Simon. "I've recieved a roommate of my own." she answered, her mind recalling the girl's rather interesting personality. "She's actually a sister of that 'red-headed lass'. The one you saw at the ball." She smiled faintly, amused by the new nickname she would be using for Lorina when around Simon. "She's nice, but very...boisterous." Of course, the Jinn family were imps, and she'd met a few them over the years through her brother, so she'd grown used to their antics, even if she was better off speaking to those who were calmer.

User Image Simon cocked an eyebrow at her next statement, "A room mate, huh?" he thought curious about them, "The red-headed lass has a sister, eh?" he said, ammassing facts about her as things progressed, "Irish of decent aren't they?" he asked, noticing the distinct accent she had during the club rush, she seemed quite active and he thought that she had a case of tunnel vision, seeing as she mroe or less snatched the board from his fingers, that and the Irish were known for their red-headed decendants and it had been noted that Irish people were stubborn, but stereotypes weren't always accurate.

Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence.

The question from Simon sas expected, so she gave a nod as she elborated. "She has a very large family, somehwere along the lines of twenty siblings, I think. she shrugged, passing it off as culture difference between the races as she continued. "Yes, though not from the human areas." She'd never met any imps outside of the Lorina and her roommate, Jessy, but her brother was a large source of information, which allowed her to understand their culture a bit better. Imps were natural jokers, so she knew not to take anything too seriously when around one; now that she was boarded with one, she was glad to have hold of such knowledge. "Where are you from?" she asked after another moment of thought, wondering if Simon was from the secluded areas behind the veil, or if he was more accustomed to the places beyond it, where nonmagical humans lived. After all, she had told him some things of her life when they spoke, and so she was interested in asking more questions this time around.

User Image Simon's eyes went the size of dinner plates, "TWENTY!?!?!?!" he shouted, stunned that any one family could produce that many children, he calmed down a bit took a deep breath and exhaled it, he heard her question took a second to make sure he wouldn't shout again "I'm from Britain, round the Midlands area, lovely place, central, although the name already told you that one I'd bet, easy to get from one end of it to the other, rained frequently infested with these people refered to as "chavs" so far as I've seen they appear to be hoodlums wearing hoodies and cheap track bottoms generally rather closed in..." Simon shut up again, knowing he was digressing from her question, "Yeah, I lived in England, around the Midlands." he shortened it, knowing most people wouldn't want to listen to him ramble.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?"

Exploration had always been a source of entertainment for Aurora, though she had chosen to take a large break from doing so. After spending four years wandering, she had decided to finally focus on school, but today she found a surprising amount of free time. Rather than stay inside, she'd chosen to walk along the campus, reminding herself of the little places that used to be hidden. Currently, the building she was near looked to be abandoned, one of the few places that were tucked away, near the edge of the campus. She smiled, liking the rustic look, which was very different and seemed almost out of place. Unsure of what else to do, she circled the area, then decided to lean against a nearby tree, her eyes taking in the sight. Perhaps later, when she had free time once more, she could visit the art teacher, and ask for a few tips regarding sketching; if only so that she could someday attempt to draw this landscape.

Seeing Simon's reaction caused a giggle to sound crom her, and so she told him, "Imps are much like fairies, from what I hear." She managed a faint smile, realizing that perhaps he would be a great learner beneath one of her brother's many lectures. Of course, she wouldn't wish such a fate for him, but she still found the thought amusing. Rebecca had been surprised by the large number as well, but she was sure that her expression had been more guarded than his. Allowing the conversation to shift, she listened to his explanation of his home, her smile remaining as he went further into the small details. It made her nod, to show that she was able to keep up with his words. "That sounds nice." She recalled her own past, telling him lightly, "Much like my own home, in Italy." Of course, she couldn't recall any hoodlums around her neighborhood, but she knew that things were different in the larger cities. She was lucky to grow up so sheltered, though it did make her adjustements to Reed's all the more difficult. "May I ask why you left?" She didn't wish to pry, but she was curious, as she knew that Simon was not a pure human.

User Image Simon smiled, listening to her talk, he would like to know about Italy, but he'd ask her about that after answering her question "I left because it seemed my brightest idea, I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I though maybe going to a school for supernaturals in general would inspire me with ideas, give me some idea of what I wanted to do. I suppose you could say I'm just clinging to my life as it is now, and I suppose that coould ring true but... I will never stop rambling will I?" he said, knowing he'd gone off on one vicious tangent in the intermittent, "Still, tell me more about your life in Italy, or just Italy if you like." he smiled standing up and putting the guitar down, he had always been curious about other countries, rahter than believing the stereotypes set for those countries, that and she had a pretty voice, he thought she should use it more.

Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence.

Well, that was an understandable reason, and she could certaintly see why one would want to try new things, such as this school. "You're not rambling." she reassured him, a light smile on her lips as she responded to what he'd said. "I'm sure that you will learn alot here." Her brother had almost mastered his abilities during his time at the school, and that always gave Rebecca hope that she would be able to do the same. It was much like learning a language, she supposed; it just took sheer determination. After all, her English held only a faint accent, and her Arabic was nearly perfect. Her thoughts segwayed as Simon asked her to speak, and she felt inclined to answer him. "Italy is...calm, and my life was too. My abilities were expected, so my parents had always planned to send me here." There wasn't much else to say, as she wasn't nearly so good at giving details, but she did manage to relay a few of the larger pictures. "I grew up with hearing stories of magic, but I was always reminded that they were a secret. My home was outside the veil, you know." The veil, of course, was the thing that kept humans away from magic, and provided lands for magical beings. Her family hadn't belonged to magic for centuries, so they had opted to stay among humans even when her older brother was born with such odd abilities.

User Image "If you say so." he said chuckling slightly, he liked being around her it was calming in a way, he nodded when she said he'd learn a lot more here, he certainly hoped he would and it would make his life infinitely easier in the years to come if he did, he stood there listening to her, "Yeah, stories of magic, always fun those ones." he said remembering sections of his childhood such as the bed-time stories his mother would read to him and George, it was wonderful listening to them, depending on how they acted she would let them hear the awesome details of the spells or the soppy romantics, when they were bad she always amped up the soppy romantics, and being 5 they were disgusted by it, Simon let a laugh escape him as the memories filtered through, he left his mind open, not pushing the memories to Rebecca, should she want to take a peek she could, the memories were most of the stories his mother told him.

Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence.

His agreement to her words caused her to smile wistfully, recalling a few of the stories she'd heard as a child. Among her favorites was the tale of Aladin, which she was sure she liked because of the genie. He was an amusing character, and though she acted vey different from him, Rebecca was fond of the race they shared, despite him being fiction. After all, how could a genie be blue? That was a silly idea. Her thoughts were drawn out as she felt Simon's own slip past the natural barrier that mot beings had. It was as if he was willing to deliberately allow her the option of peeking, something she found to be very interesting. Did that mean that he trusted her? While the idea of test did cross her mind, she disregarded it, feeling that Simon would not be one to lay traps of the sort. Initially, she wanted to avoid reading his thoughts, but she could feel their overall theme, full of childhood and stories. Casting him a glance, she tried to evaluate what he might be trying to say without diving to far into the thoughts. A few of the stories intrigued her, enough so that she asked him, "Will you tell me a story of your's someday?" Adjusting her position on the metal cabinet, she withdrew from his mind, honestly hopeful that he would agree to her request. She supposed she could just snatch it from his thoughts, but a few of the premises had interested her enough that she wanted to hear one as it was told to him.

User Image Simon smiled lightly as he continued to recall the stories, he swore he felt something brush against his thoughts, a foreign object that was probably Rebecca taking a look, this thought was confirmed when after the sense faded she asked him that question, he smiled and said "Sure, whenever you want." he watched her shift against the cabinet, noticing the ache in his legs he sat himself down on a pianno stool and said, "I'd be interested to hear some of yours." he said smiling some of their stories may have been the same, but for the most part he thought they'd have different stories.

Simon then realised much to his own guilt that Lucian for the most part hadn't been talked to, and when he had something to say Simon pretty much over-rided him by talking for him, he frowned slightly irritated that he was probably holding Lucian back in some capacity, "You guys want to go ahead without me? I'll catch up soon, I promise." he smiled over to them, wanting them to have fun, and whilst he was thoroughly enjoying his talk with Rebecca he didn't want to subject Lucian and Hannah to watching a conversation go on without any input from them.

Lucian And Hannah

Lucian had managed to get up a respectable tune going, somewhat surprised at how naturally it seemed to come back to him once he go up to speed. He looked up at Simon with a small smile, he wasn't one to rain on someone's parade, but truth be told he was getting bored.

"Okay, me and Hannah will keep going, we'll see you up ahead." Lucian stood up and set down the guitar and joined hands with Hannah, heading out of the room.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo. Care To Dance?"

While she had been so comfortably nestled beside the tree, Aurora had unintentionally started to drift off. It was warm for a day so near the winter, and she was in a rather lazy mood to begin with. Of course, the moment she heard a door open and reveal the sound of voices, she sat up straight, guiltily shaking off her tiredness. It was a foolish thing, and she knew that such a ridiculous action could very well pose danger, at least when she was away from campus. Luckily, she was no where near a family member, nor was she feeling threatened; when she cast her gaze towards the building she could only spot two other students, both younger than herself. She stood, stifling a yawn as she straightened her shirt and brush the grass from her pants. The two looked kind enough, and since they would be walking right past her soon enough, she ventured a greeting towards them. "Hello~" Her voice was light and musical, a sign of her race that accompanied her pale beauty; she was a siren after all, and was apart of the race that still ruled over most of the waters inside and out of the veil.

Though initially she hadn't meant to create the idea of swapping stories, she liked it, and so smiled lightly when he agreed to it. "Great." She wasn't too sure that her stories would be entertaining for him, but if he wanted to hear a few, she wouldn't mind telling him some. Her attention was diverted for a moment as he spoke to Lucian, causing a light blush to cross her cheeks as she guiltily allowed them to speak. Rebecca hadn't meant to take Simon away from her friends, so she would do her best to let him return to them as soon as possible. "Sorry." Sliding off of the file cabinet, she moved a hand to brush her bangs aside from her eyes as she asked tentatively, "I guess I'll see you around?"

User Image Simon smiled happy with how content Rebecca seemed, he then noticed a blush cross her cheeks, he chuckled lightly, she looked adorable, and the flustered expression only made it cuter, he kept chuckling for a bit, and said "There's no need for you to apologize I just thought Lucian could use a change of scenery." he watched as she removed herself from the cabinet, he didn't know why she'd asked if she'd see him around, "Sure, I'll see ya round, small world this one, any ways, should madness seize you and you want to see me, my dorm number is 101." he said, joking about the madness but he felt that she might want to search for him at some stage, so knowing where his dorm was meant she had a good starting location.

Whilst the door opened to let Lucian and Hannah out from the room he heard an unfamiliar voice greet them, he tilted his head unsure of who it was, the tone was musical almost, definitely female in pitch, but the door closed before he could decipher anything else, "So, you gonna stay in here once I go? Do some more meditation?" he asked, wanting to make sure she'd be alright once he'd gone,.
