This is a Hunter question! biggrin I know it's been stated that Hunters' weapons can't talk to other Hunters besides their bonded, but can the weapons talk to each other?

Weapons cannot talk to each other unfortunately D: ALSO: Snipe guard yes! Check the auction rules in the bidding thread, its been updated @ guard.

If we have gotten a Hunter, should we post Hunter profiles in the Guild like Kalindara did? Or is that something optional?

It will be mandatory for ALL people who won a Hunter char to do so, we just have not announced it yet but will be planning to as soon as we have more things up! You are free to start setting up your profile did as per auctions information, but it is not necessary immediately.

On Hunters and Technology;
It says that the island doesn't really have technology, but Candace and Jeremy both have headphones. Would it be possible to let them have MP3 players (that they'd likely need to charge in halloweentown), or would it be best to say that their headphones are just connected to their communication cellphones?

XD The island has a pretty good set of generators to provide electricity, so they can recharge their batteries on the island (doing so in Halloween would be a no go) ~ it just doesn't offer like, cable television and computers to the majority of Hunters. Think of it as fairly low-tech (outside the labs) rather than no-tech.

Keep in mind that too much tech = attraction from OTHER humans wondering about the existence about the island and other None Of Their Business information, thus the "low tech" part of it D:

is it possible for hunter to have their weapon be able to heal others in some fashion or other? I was thinking about a hunter that specialized in helping out their team mates more then fighting off halloweeners, but I then realized that since humans can't use fear any healing ability would only work on a halloweener. Is there a way to get around this (for example the weapon could convert the fear into something the human body could use?)

For helping out...rather than directly healing, a weapon could create a barrier or absorb attacks. But full-out healing itself is a no. Otherwise a certain trainee would have two arms atm. (Poor Davey, his bowling score will never recover)

OH HI QUESTIONS
1) I gave Hanna a few books and a musicbox from her grandmother as her minimal personal effects. Would this be acceptable? I wasn't sure how strict they would be about ONLY the bare bones necessities.
2) Am I allowed to write a very brief backstory for her weapon's life before she became a weapon? What are the limitations/guidelines on this? I know it says they have "some of their memories" still. I was just looking for clarification on that.
3) Can I count the RPs that Hanna did during the meta-event toward her next rank within the Hunters?

That is okay! Please validate though how they got there, perhaps Hannah put them in her small bag she was packed when she arrived on the Island, for example! In some other examples, Hunter candidates might have arrived with nothing, having left as a more on the spot sort of situation, in this case, they would have very little self belongings.

You are allowed to write on your weapon's backstory and what they might have been like as a TiH character, the only restriction is they cannot mention (and are forbidden to mention) why they became a "weapon". They are allowed to talk about their life previous, but keep in mind that Hunter weapons are ranked WITH Hunters for a reason they did not get along all that well in Halloween.
3) Can I count the RPs that Hanna did during the meta-event toward her next rank within the Hunters?
The RPs during the meta count as unfortunately simply a process of the meta judging. This is a clean slate from now on!

SETTING INFORMATION QUESTIONS GO:
- I assume the Hunters get food from somewhere: is there a main cafeteria/mess hall/etc.? What's it like, and what sort of food is likely to be available?
- What other things are provided for the trainees? I assume they'd be given clothing/toiletries/various supplies? Is there a quartermaster or someone they can requisition things from?
- Is there a library? Can they request books/other media not involving major technology?
- What are trainees expected to do in their free time (and what facilities are there for them to do... various activities)? Is everything always srs bznz? XD
- Can they text each other using their Hunter cell phones... and do they have those phones yet?

With regard to the Weapons Initiation Ceremonies, it says "Your Hunter is free to post in there whenever they think they are "ready" to claim their weapon." I read over the information, and understand we need a bonding RP in order for our characters to ICly gain their weapon. I'm just a little confused as to what kind of RP; is this a solo between our character and their weapon, or is it a GM-run PRP? O:
I just wanted to clarify some things before I did anything xD;;
