Soon after tossing a pillow in the direction of the Undead dragon (she'll have to ask for his name later, after all the madness), she felt something hit her gently on her leg. Spinning around, surprised, her eyes landed on Jove a distance away and she couldn't help chuckling softly; its been a while since she had enjoyed herself since the start of this boat ride! Between missing her room, her minipets and her friends, she hadn't exactly been in the best of moods.

Grinning, she picked up a nearby pillow and returned fire, aiming for Jove's stomach. She tried not to use too much force, just enough to hopefully hit him!

As she released the pillow, Lizzy sneezed; perhaps the feathers in the pillows were starting to get to her... Or maybe someone out there was cursing her. Either way, perhaps its time to send out some texts; she could not stand not knowing what's happening on the other boats any further!

Jove raised his hands and scrambled backwards to avoid the flying pillow, but it smacked against his legs anyway, making his escape pointless. He whirled another pillow in Lizzy's direction, fluffy tail poofed up playfully as he darted behind Calder for shelter. If the kelpie was going to play dead, Jove was going to take full advantage of him while he could.

This whole playing thing was relatively new to the pup, he was usually too busy acting as adult-like as possible and trying to look bigger than he was to indulge in such frivolous activities. He never thought playing with others like this would be so much fun!

Unfortunately the pup's aim was once again off, and he struck the nearby Charlie instead of the demon ghoul.

The lower deck was littered with feathers floating about, both from Calder's and Seiji's previous pillow burst. Blowing a feather from off his bangs, he was suddenly in the mood for chicken. Mmm. He was still hungry.

As he was sidetracked with thought of dinner, he felt a soft force at his back and turned to see a pillow. He had been hit! Following the pillow missiles trail, he saw it was Lizzy. Before he even reached for one, another pillow was thrown in his direction. It was Jove. HIS SAVIOR! The little pup was going to be his main man in the trenches of this battle – until they decided to attack either other at least. For his contribution, he did not move when the boy ducked behind him, and Calder shuffled to sit up, taking two more pillows. Lizzy had hit Jove, and now, to repay the debt of Jove hitting her, he would return fire!

"Watch my back and I'll watch your back, Pup Boil." He said, and then started to throw pillow after pillow in Lizzy's direction. Going as fast as he was, he wouldn’t be surprised if any of them actually hit.

There, texts sent!

Feeling rather pleased with herself, she tucked her phone back into the pouch of her dress as she returned to the game of 'pillow fight'. Of course, being distracted with texting, she had missed Jove's counter - although seeing how he had missed, it didn't really matter all that much. Noticing how Calder was being used as a shield by Jove, she raised an eye brow before tossing a pillow in that general direction, aiming for both boils.

Feeling her phone vibrate again, she couldn't help but hope that it was from Amrita; when she realized that it was not, she couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. Still, the text caused her to frown; she could hear his voice saying that in her head. Ughhh. Then again, his reply meant that he was still alive, which was good.

Mac's Text to Lizzy
I'm not a Puppy, idiot. >C Your fish is just...why would you...ah whatever, tell Charlie that if he sinks the ship, he can't have my coat.

Don't get thrown overboard, we both know how useless you are in water.

Pouting, she worked on a reply, moving to a corner to try to avoid being hit by any stray pillows - or intentional pillows. Once it was sent, she decided to stay in her corner, grabbing a pillow and using it as a shield. Eying Calder, she quickly flung another pillow at him just as he flung one at her.

Lizzy's text to Mac
You are such a puppy! And I take that as concern so thank you very much! I've managed to stay dry, thankfully! <3 I'll remember to tell Charlie that! The fish is because I miss you although you can be such a mean person. 8< And everyone else too... ;o; ;o; ;o;

Amrita's Text to Lizzy
i imss yru too a plantr atteascked me an jerichoi an belldadonnabut its okaty now. your fish is prettty i liike it!

To her surprise, another text soon came in after the pillow left her hand - upon seeing that it was from Amrita, she couldn't help smiling in relief and happiness. Quickly, she sent off a text to the Vetala, glad that she was alive and well.

Lizzy's text to Amrita
A plant?! I'm so glad that the three of you are fine now! Tell Jericho and Belladonna to stay safe as well. <3 CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN.

Alessa sputtered as the pillow exploded in her face. It didn't hurt in the slightest, but she found herself coughing and spitting out feathers from her mouth. When she could see again she plucked a feather or two from her hair, futilely really, because her hair resembled a birds nest, but without the sticks. "Nice one," she told the kelpie boil, "Though it was a little close range." Giving up on her hair, she instead twisted all the ends together and draped them over one shoulder as she snatched at another pillow.

She watched as the two boils tossed pillows at Lizzy, who actually seemed rather distracted. She picked up a pillow and tossed it at the other ghoul teasingly as she called, "Come on, Lizzy, you can use your skelephon later!"

"Aw! No fair, you guys are ganging up on me!" She whined while laughing, raising her arms in a sort of 'surrender pose', skelephone in her hands. She found herself nodding at Alessa's words, however, as she placed her skelephone aside for now, just glad to know that there were some replies to indicate that they were in fact, alive! Well, as alive as a Halloweener could be anyway.

"Payback time!" She picked up the pillow that Alessa had tossed in her direction and tossed it back towards the ghoul.

Hobknocker did not know what to make of the pillow fight. What did they get out of beating each other with.. feathery softness? That was no game for pirates to be! It was... MADNESS. He pulled out a deck of beaten up cards from his back pocket. Each card was a mess in its own right as all kinds of creatures had clawed at, chewed or slobbered on them. Somehow, he could never quite throw them out. Something didn't lose it's ability to be used simply because it wasn't pretty to look at. He was a walking example of that.

"How about a game? All you have to do is get a higher card than I do, but you only get to choose one card," he called out for any interested.

Game: High Card
+This is a simple game. Just choose a random number between 1 and 13. Only one card per person! The results are as followed:

1. Ace
2. Two
3. Three
4. Four
5. Five
6. Six
7. Seven
8. Eight
9. Nine
10. Ten
11. Jack
12. Queen
13. King

+Ace is of course the highest, with king second in tow, then queen and you get the picture. This will end sometime tomorrow morning, so if you have a moment, get your rolls in tonight! Please roleplay a brief response of choosing a card. Anyone that rolls higher will score a prize but highest card me get something different. wink

Thus far, Draven had found the boat ride pleasant, if a little boring. He'd spent a ridiculous amount of time staring at the sea, standing in the wind or attempting to explore the ship. Something about being on an old rotted ship had yet to lose its novelty. All in all, it wasn't a bad trip, so far.

When Cricket had sent them all downstairs, the pillows had been a welcome sight. Draven had no real aversion to feather pillows, feathers could fall of naturally, and they were comfortable. However, he wasn't sure how he felt about pillow fights. In his experience, pillow fights broke feathers, and that was just a annoying. He wasn't sure if it was worth the risk. Though it did look fun...

Since the fight began, he'd stood off a bit to the side, trying to decide if he wanted to jump in. So far, he'd been left out of it, which he was rather alright with.

When the Hobknocker had called out for a game of cards Draven's ears had perked. That was a fully safe and it sounded like a short game, meaning he could dive into the pillow fight if he wanted to (and there were any pillows left).

"I'll play," Draven said as he walked up to the Hobknocker. He looked at the cards in the strange man's hand. Just had to choose a card that was higher than the Hobknocker's? Pure luck, but that was always fun. He reached out his hand and let it hover a bit before grasping a a battered, old card with his thumb and forefinger. Once it was clear of the deck, he turned it over to look at it.

Aldara had, thankfully, avoided the pillow fight. Having enough feathers of her own, she had no desire whatsoever to be covered in any more. She was, on the other hand, interested in the cards that were offered...

The harpy ghoul approached the Hobknocker slowly, warily eying those still mid-battle so as to continue avoiding them. She reached out, letting her fingers hover over the spread cards for a moment before drawing one, flipping it over to gaze at the number. "Well?"

He'd been having a great time throwing pillows and trying NOT to inhaul feathers, but when he saw the TOTer come down and holding out things for people to take, he perked up from his pillow mound. Were those really think sandwiches? Rot-tarts? Slices of meat? He didn't care, he was hungry!

Shoving pillows into a pile, he pointed it out to Jove. "Hide behind this. I'll be right back." If it was food, he'd bring some back for them.

Dragging himself out of the pillows, he emerged and stepped over, ready to get back in the game but practically salivating at the idea of EATING. All those fishy smells from above, most still clinging to them, had made him think of good, hearty, home cooking. When he came and reached out for a card, pulling it from the deck, he noticed the worn pieces were cards and not anything really edible. Well, you could eat them, but it wouldn't do anything.

He frowned, looking at the zombie and then at his card. It wasn't even a kinky deck with nude creatures. Well, as far as he could see. The picture was rater worn. Double disappointment!

“Hey,” he said as he looked at his card, “I think it’s an Ace!” It was a little hard to tell. The cards were clearly well used. “That’s good, right?” Draven asked, grinning.

“Ahck!” His grinning was interrupted by a tiny bit of feather that was dangerously close to his face. A feather stuck in your throat was not the most pleasant thing in the world, and Draven wanted to avoid such a nuisance. He blew and waved at the feather a bit, sending it spiraling off somewhere. He liked feathers, when they were where they should be.

He glanced back towards the pillow fight. The others seemed to have made quite a mess.

Charlie hadn't realised the pillow fight til it was all said and done. The knock to the head from Lizzy had been enough to confuse the pink haired demon for an extended period of time. Now the pillow fight was done and over with.

Though, that wasn't going to stop the pink haired demon from getting some pillow action. However before Charlie could reach for a pillow he was interrupted by another game. This time it was something to do with cards!? Ooooh fun!

Charlie reached for a card and frowned. One? That was the lowest of the low! "I think my cards broken.." He muttered, "I just got a one. Not a one hundred million awesome...."

Charlie pouted. Clearly he didnt understand what an Ace was.

While she had been distracted by her skelephone before, she was now distracted by the appearance of the ToTer, who had proposed a new game. Hugging a pillow to her chest, determined to sleep with something soft for her head tonight, Lizzy moved to stand beside Charlie, chuckling at his reaction to his card as she tapped him on the arm, "That's an ace - the best card in the deck!"

Using her other hand, she drew a card from the deck, wondering if she would have as much luck... Apparently not. Although it was hard to tell if its a 3 or 8 at first, after some squinting, she realized that it was the former.

"Ah, I got a 3," She couldn't help sounding a little disappointed.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 15, 2011 7:11 am

Chuckling, Hobknocker took back all the cards and shuffled them before putting the deck back into his pocket. "Remind me to never bring the lot o' you to gambling night at The Bone Yard." The last thing he needed was to lose all his money to a bunch of students.

"Some of you didn't do so well but I tell you what, I'll give you each a silver pumpkin seed for playing my game. It should be expected that some of you would fail. You --," he paused briefly, pointing an emaciated finger at Aldara, "--tied with me so in addition to a silver pumpkin seed, I'll fish around for another prize. And you two," he pointed at Charlie and Draven, glaring at them with his cold, undead eyes. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you both cheated. What's the odds of pulling out two aces in the deck? But whatever, a deal is a deal and you will get something special as well. If I find out you cheated though, there WILL be consequences. I'll have all the prizes sent to your room or to where-ever your belongings are kept, assuming you scallywags brought anything."

He limped off, mumbling something about pillow fights, the downfall of pirates everywhere and a little something about cheating students. Now, where had he put those minipet cages? He hated going up and down the stairs but he hadn't really expected to be bested and so damnably well.

[Draven, Aldara, Calder, Lizzy and Charlie each receive a silver pumpkin seed! Aldara, Draven and Charlie will get a little something extra!]

A few moments later, he found the minipets stuffed into the back corner of the bottom deck. He wasn't sure what was in the special boxes that Captain Cricket had brought aboard but he didn't ask questions and to be honest, he really didn't care. He didn't want to be liable for whatever happened. He wasn't sure what he thought about the Captain. She both frightened him and interested him. You couldn't deny how tough she was though he often questioned the stability and durability of the ship. It could be his mind playing tricks on him but it looked like more holes were showing up every day in the wood. It was as if the ship was slowly being eaten out from under them but he had a way of being over-dramatic at times.

With an armful of minipet containers, he made his rounds to deliver them, hoping he brought the right pet to the right student. He also began plotting on how he could next entertain the students. All work and no play made Jack Skellington a dull boy, right?
