Her voice did not ring out as it had on the night of the first day, but none the less it was level, despite the chaos that threatened to drown it out. She had no interest in theatrics today, despite the fact that she had just descended into the sanctum on her namesake. She had long since realized that none would listen to her authority, although Tanzanite had proven to her that there was still a level of respect, even within the side of the negaverse. That evening resonated in her mind now, amber-flecked blue eyes narrowing as she noticed not only negaverse, but senshi also attempting to snatch the holy crystal from its pedestal.
At that moment, there was a frightening balance of allies and enemies in her eyes.
There was a slight unsteadiness in her gait as she slid off Caerus' back, her knuckles turning white as she tightened her grip on the long white mane of the pegasus, but whether or not it was noticed was debatable, her stance recovering quickly. The threat of hooves, it seemed, had created a radius of emptiness around herself and her mount, and for the moment none threatened her, likely for fear of being kicked and/or trampled. As if to magnify the threat, she swivvelled her gaze to those who might be around, lingering especially on the senshi -- an unsettling turn of events.
"Stay away from the Golden Crystal, or face the consequences."
The consequences, in this case, being trampled to death.
Letting go of the winged horse, she had just started to turn towards the crystal when her eyes caught the sight of a small form, her expression flickering from it's usual even disamusement to one of slight surprise, head cocking a little as she acknowledged it as a wave. A wave of a child. Children? Sailor Chibimoon had been the only chibi senshi Helios had ever seen, but the mark was unmistakable -- it was no mere civilian child that waved to her now, within the hell that was the battle for Elysion's crystal. For half a second she paused, another visible waver of uncertainty before she lifted her hand just slightly, returning it to Sailor Chibi Hypnos before turning away, back to the glow of the Crystal.
The goal. The only way to keep it safe. Although by now, 'it' was quickly becoming an ambiguous term. The Chibi senshi? The senshi at all, anymore? Had it become the negaverse she sympathized with, or did she just feel indifferent to them, as opposed to the blinding hate she had always felt before.
Was it Chibimoon?
Feet literally resting on the surface of the water, Helios turned towards the golden crystal, each step completely leveling the turbulent water in a two feet radius around her person, moving unhindered over the surface towards the crystal. She had seen the effects it had had on others, but there was no falter in her step, clearly undaunted by the fact that she would likely be repelled as the others. But she did not even get that far. As the voice traveled the length of the sanctum, the winged guardian went completely rigid, shock-straight, her eyes widening even as she stopped breathing for a good few seconds.
"No..."
No... it couldn't be...
... could it?

If he knew so many people thought of him as gender-confused, he would definitely inform them that he was not confused at all, and that they just sucked at figuring it out for themselves.
These Negaverse people didn't seem all that smart in that area...
Ganymede released Alumo in the hopes of deflecting his fist, but it connected with his cheek -- the same cheek that had been hit before; crap, his face was going to be so bruised -- and then he was thrown off and into the water. He struggled against the hands on his neck, kicking and scratching and thrashing around to try and get away, only to be released as Alumo was struck by someone else.
He coughed for air and struggled to push himself up, only to launch himself at Alumo again, falling on top of him and bringing a leg up to repeat a move he'd done in battle before, and would resort to however many times he needed in order to defend himself.
He kneed him between the legs.

Alkaid had been standing still, staring silently at the battle around her, and trying to find the will in herself to join her comrades. Only, wherever she looked she saw a brother, a sister, all torn apart because of some stupid traitorous senshi.
It was probably her observation that saved her - or the fact that Birhan just wasn't very good at sneaky.
As soon as the yell hit her ears, Alkaid's face snapped up and her body simultaneously side-stepped. She just stared, long and hard at the fire-haired senshi, the look on her face still stony.
"Sneak attacks don't work if you announce yourself."

A figure stood watching the battle, it’s lone silhouette reflecting on the reflective pools of Elysion’s inner sanctuary. Two sides for one goal. One power. His deep maple eyes looked up at golden crystal standing high upon it’s pedestal, awaiting to be claimed but resisting all who came near. A gloved hand touched his chest, before looking out at the clashing armies, and his fingers curled into a determined fist. As much as it pained him to see his memories of Elysion changed from seeing it in it’s current state, he knew that things could change, and it could return to it’s former glory.
The water rippled as he moved forward, his cape billowing behind as he moved closer.
“This Inner Sanctuary is a place of peace, protection, and prayer in the most dire times. Like all our hearts, this place too is the heart of the Earth and the darkness must be forced out. It is tragic to see the state it's grand memory has been reduced to, but the fact it stands tall and proud reminds me that it too stood for one thing. Hope. Soldiers and Protectors of Earth, do not lose hope. Drive out the evil and claim this sanctuary for the side of good!!”

The captain's heel in his side was enough to bring the senshi of winter to his feet. He could already feel the ugly bruise that would be there on his side when he awoke from yet another violent nightmare. Still trying to fully regain his breath from his first fall, he defensively brought one arm to shield him while he regained footing in the pool of water. He thought he heard voices ringing above the battle cries, but his concern for now was his new found opponent. Still gasping and with a slight chuckle, he tried to chastise Wolframite into a rage and leave his wits behind. Boreas was in no mood for a battle of the minds.
"Sorry to disturb you, ma'am! I didn't mean to get your pretty little dress dirty!"
Using the moment of opportunity, he broke his stance to throw a punch with is left arm. His target was the boy's eye patch. Boreas figured that had to be weak spot if it were already being bandaged.

And then her target disappeared.
Zircon was down again, after a swift kick to the lower spine, and for a moment she thought she had lost her capacity to even breathe. She faltered on her knees, trying to gain some sort of ground in the watery pool, but ultimately, she crumpled again. Foramen had kicked her down, and damnit, she wasn't leaving there any time soon. She clenched her teeth in pain, trying to pull herself up, but it was no use. She was battered and bruised, front and back, and something in her strength just gave out, even from the corrupted power in her core.
Zircon knew it was a time to bow out when just sitting on your elbows and knees was a strain. For now, she did her best to just scoot away from the main point of battle and regroup. She could fight in a minute, she just had to get the ringing out of her ribcage...and her back...and her head...
The lieutenant didn't realize it, but she began to slip out of consciousness, bloody and cold in the waters of the pool.

Even as Helios walked towards that which she was bound to protect, Chibimoon smiled and watched her lingeringly. It was impossible to not and her heart all but exploded with the want and need to help her. Rushing to the bottom of the steps as quickly as she could get through the water, she held out a hand to help Helios if she required it. It was subtle and looked more like an escorting, welcoming gesture.
That was, until the voice sounded again and drew attention to the edge of the pool where a tall, dark man stood. Everything about him screamed with familiarity and Chibimoon's eyes went so wide as they filled with tears unbidden. She took one lurching step forward, and then two, both closer to the man and her priestess.
"Papa?!" It started as a whisper, then the loud cry of a heartbroken child who had been left very much alone in this cruel world. "Papa!"

Hugbell watched the man as he crossed the floor, she'd heard him speak first, now he was there. Her butter yellow eyes looked curious at him. She looked confused too, she slid slightly away from Polaris.
Daring to approach the man carefully, with Barnaby in one arm. She stayed back though, she looked like she wanted to ask him something, but she was unsure if she should.
It was a good few moments before she hid behind Polaris again. "Who is he?" She asked though it was asked while she was looking at him, she was directing more towards Polaris. Only this question was rather loud, which might be unfortunate for the chibi senshi as she wasn't sure which side he worked for. She watched Chibimoon, who suddenly screamed papa, there was frown on Hugbell's face. "Princess Chibimoon.... ohpleasebecareful..." She said wanting to run after the pink clad senshi, only to stop. There was only a moment to recover, her eyes blinking slowly to shake away the voice which had resonated in her mind, unrecognizable to everyone but herself and maybe one other. It was that other that she looked to now, seeing the gloved hand of the previously-chibi senshi, her Maiden, extend towards her, as if to help her with this burden she had so long carried with only the Eyes for guidance and support. For that moment her expression warmed slightly, and she lifted her own delicate hand with the intent of taking it, surprisingly eager to feel the warmth and comfort of having another to lean on, not only physically in this instance. But that moment was just that, just a moment, and the voice that would not leave her slowly-merging subconscious alone returned, snapping her attention from Chibiusa to the lone, dark figure on the edge of the pool, her eyes widening again.
It... it was him.
Was it him?
She couldn't say his name.
She couldn't even utter the title with which she had always called him, although the word Prince lingered on her lips, and the ache that was not her broken or cracked ribs constricted her lungs and heart, until both seemed to have slowed exponentially.
Helios had halted entirely, frozen where she was, legs threatening to buckle beneath her.

Foramen took advantage of Zircon's collapse to swing his head around and stare at the newcomer who was addressing the room of combatants. The man was tall (Kirin wept internally) and regal, dressed in black and red. An impressive figure, very calm in the face of all this. Foramen raised an eyebrow. The second went up with Chibimoon shouted out to him. That was her father, the Prince of Earth?
"He's talking to us, right?" Foramen asked himself. End-of-whatever had been in love with their missing Princess. He was father to another senshi, even if that wa sin a future that would no longer happen. There was surely no way he would support the Negaverse!
"Yes, sir!" Foramen yelled out, before returning his attention to Richterite. "You heard the man," he taunted. "Time for you and yours to leave."
Leaping over Zircon's fallen body, he aimed a wild kick at Richterite's side.

"Sneak attack? Me?" Birhan nearly laughed. No one who knew her style would make that claim. "Why should I bother sneaking, even if I was the type to do that?"
Alkaid had good movement. That had been a very clean sidestep.
But Birhan wasn't done. The moment she landed, she was already in motion for her next attack. One knee came up, foot flicking out for a hopeful second jab, then her other leg swung around for the heavy strike. A nice combo - 3 hits if they all connected. Ari had only ever shown it to one person before, her missing student...

Castor jumped as far away from Helios/Pegasus as he possibly could. he knew Rea. Rea could be a b***h when angry. He didn't want to tangle with her when she was powered like a ******** boss. She was going for the Crystal and frankly, ******** yeah. Then "who the ********-" Voices? MORE voices? Just what he needed. More ******** voices.
Looking for the source he found it. Or, he thought he did. A man with darkhair and brown eyes. He looked out of place. He looked like a General King. Then he heard the ******** dad" As in, the one who boned Serenity? Her mom, their princess? And this was her dad? As in is the Prince of Earth? As in- "PRINCE ENDYMION?"
Castor gawked, pausing only to punch a captain in the face.

His moved closer, but kept his eyes up on the priestess of the Temple. With each step he drew closer until his attention was caught and held by one little girl. A soft tenderness passed by his features and a gentle smile followed after. In all the angry snarls and bitter fighting, the small reunion seemed out of place. Still, he was here, at long last, and he felt a held breathe leave him as he saw Chibimoon. She was breathtaking, young, but older than he expected. "A place of dreams and like one, you are here…my little rabbit." He smiled to her, and knelt down slightly, opening his arms wide for his little princess.

Didn't they already do this?? It got repetitive after a while...
Alumo let out a yelp of pain as he was suddenly kneed between the legs, angrily shoving Ganymede off of him so he could curl up and protect himself from even more injury. What the hell?? Didn't Ganymede do that before?? Wasn't that when he wanted to murder him?? Yeah, and now he was going to make sure he wouldn't wake up.
"You little b***h," he hissed, glaring up at him, forcing himself back to his feet. Although, before he could do anything, there was a voice, and then... a figure...?
Who the hell was that??
Some people seemed to recognize him, and others had no idea. Honestly? Alumo had no idea what he was talking about, and kind of wanted him to shut the hell up... but that was just him.

So what if he did it before? It worked. Why not do it again? Hell, Ganymede would have kneed him a third time if he wasn't shoved away. The b*****d deserved it.
He smirked, quite pleased with himself as he stood to his feet, though his victory didn't last long. One of his heels caught on the long, sodden layer of his not-quite-skirts and he went careening back into the water.
Damn it. Damn it, damn it, damn it.
He tried to move swiftly, fully aware that Alumo could quickly recover and come after him again, but he was soon distracted by the very thing that had stolen Alumo's attention. Some guy... some sort of hot guy...
Only he didn't really have the time to be worrying about that, so he shook his head to clear it of any thoughts that might be lingering to swipe a leg out and dig his heel into Alumo's side.

Even in the midst of battle there was time for more. A hand reached out and squeezed at Helios' for just a moment of reassurance before that elegant, dark-haired man looked Chibimoon directly and called her by the nickname her papa had always reserved just for her. Usagi was his love, his princess, his queen.
But she was his little rabbit. Always and forever, papa was the only one she would ever accept that sort of nickname for. Tears swam in front of her eyes as Hugbell's warning came on deaf ears and gangly legs had her surging forward to throw herself into Endymion's waiting arms with all of her strength. "Papa! Oh Papa I've missed you so much! They said you were dead but I refused to really believe and oh papa!"
Arms clung to him like the only buoy in a sinking world which was utterly unfair to everyone around her. Perry had been an amazing father to her and Helios would always be the glimmering hope for her future. Even now part of Chibimoon's body angled towards the priestess...just in case. But her papa was alive? It felt like papa! He knew her name!
She didn't need any more than that.
