I think it's interesting to see that most people in here say they do it for long distance relationships. I always see so many people saying how stupid or gross they think cybering is or that it's for losers who can't get any in real life, and that just isn't true. I do it all the time with my boyfriend, because he lives far away. I also did it because I wasn't ready for real sex yet. Since that time we have been able to do sexual stuff in real life, but we still live far from each other and only get to see each other in person once or twice a year. So we still cyber and I see nothing wrong with that. I would consider cybering with other people to be cheating. He is the only one I would do it with, at least in a serious way. I don't think it is cheating if you do it as a joke. I had a guy friend who used to go into chat rooms and find people who were desperate to cyber with, then he'd get them in a chat and we'd pretend to be other people. Sometimes he'd pretend to be female, or I'd pretend to be male, or whatever, and we'd do a lot of really weird stuff and try our best to creep the person out who was looking to cyber. It was pretty immature of us, but this was years ago. XD My boyfriend knew about it, he didn't care. We all just laughed at it. I personally think it's a little ridiculous when people go into random chat rooms or whatever and ask for people to cyber with them. Complete strangers, they don't know who is on the other end and it could be someone who is just doing it for their own personal laughs, or it could be a really creepy person. I kind of see it like people who would go out and have sex with any random person they meet somewhere. It seems pointless and possibly dangerous. And a bit on the gross side. But that's just me.
