Devrik tapped the pads of his feet as he loosened his grip. Taking one or two check swings he starred the pitcher down. The pitcher let loose a nasty curve ball. Devrik took a step and swung......a miss. Strike one, damn. He stamped his foot in as the pitcher let loose a fastball. He caught a good glimpse of this one as it was released. He stepped up with his left foot as he swung hard. Full contact on the head of the bat. The ball was a straight shot right back at the pitcher. He went for the catch only to have the ball skim by. Ball sailed over the back fence right down the middle. Devrik's second home run. "bulls eye." he grinned as he tossed the bat aside and jogged across the basses.

 Neela watched as the batter prepared himself for the game. She looked at the pitcher. He looked like a good thrower, and one that would do anything to win a game. "This will be interesting" She said with a grin as her tail swayed behind her in amusement. The pitcher threw the ball, she quickly identified it as a curve ball, her ears perked and her eyes narrowed, to see if the batter would hit it, but unfortunately, he had missed. 'Twas fine, it was only one strike, he had too more. The second throw, it was a fast one, Neela's eyes were on the ball just as quick as the batter had his on it. He hit it and sent it flying, past the pitcher and over the fence, making some cheer with delight. Neela simply chuckled and pushed herself off the wired fence, walking along it, behind those whom were against it, still cheering. She moved towards the blue team's side and remained by the bleachers, her white fingers running through her black and blue hair, pushing it back before allowing it to fall into place, her hair once against covering her right eye.

Devrik walked back into the dugout as he was bombarded with pats and shoulder bumps of congratulations. He chuckled as he looked at the score. 4-5, they had one more inning. The team captain told devrik that as soon as this inning was over he would be working center field. He went to go sit down by his sister when he noticed a figure by the bleachers playing with her hair. He didn't mean to but he couldn't help but give her a second glance. Her hair was a very interesting color, black with a tint of blue. When her hair fell back in front of her eyes he felt a nice hit to the back of the head. "Hey, game time lets go." The first baseman said as he ushered him out the dug out. Devrik got his mind back in the game. They just had to hold them.

Neela simply stood there, blinking as the field changed a little. She lifted her right foot up then set it down before lifting the second one. She knew her feet would grow tired of her standing for a long period of time, so she decided to find a seat before they decided to be a pain and make her leave. She wanted to stay and see who'll win, not leave and wonder for the rest of the day who won. Thankfully, a couple stood and left, and they didn't look like they were going to return. Neela was sift to take a seat and set her bag on her lap. She brushed her hair out of her right eye and tucked it behind her ear, wanting to see a bit more clearer and more of the field. Relaxing, she grossed her legs and watched the game, enjoying it like everyone else.

Devrik took his place out in center field as he shuffled his feet a bit. The pitcher striked the first guy out. but the next two at bat each hit a single. With a man on first and second they looked like there were close to scoring. Then their pinch hitter came up again. This guy was swinging to take both of them home. How wonderful. Devrik watched as the ball was hit. It went up and started coming down about mid way between center and left field. If it touched the ground this game was going to tie up. Devrik sprinted towards the landing point of the ball. He dove forward and turned on his back the ball landed in his glove as he slid on the ground. The left fielder was already in motion. All devrik did was lob the ball upwards and the left fielder snagged it out of the air. He hummed it to third base as the second base man tagged up and tried to make a run for it. THe ball hit the mitt seconds before the runner and he was tagged out. That was the ball game. Devrik got up from the ground cracking his neck. That hurt like hell. He teammates were already celebrating on the field and tilling the opposition good game. It was indeed just that. He walked over to the dugout and smiled at his sister. He left the mitt he borrowed but was keeping the blue baseball cap. Kinda like a memento.
"I want you to head right home OK. I'm going to go get us something for lunch." He said to her before heading out and around the fence of the park. He didn't do crowds very well, it wasn't in his nature. Most people were to focused on the celebration mid field anyway to notice him taking his leave.

Neela watched the game with interest, often leaning in to see a bit closer, making sure she bothered no one. She looked closely at the field. There was a guy in the first base, another in second base. If the batter hit a home run, it would be a loss for the blue team and some would go home disappointed. She glances around, seeing the worried faces of others, and those of eager faced in both team, the desire to see their team win. Neela could only sigh and lean back slightly, watch the game and see who'll come out a winner. The pitcher swung the ball, the batter of the opposite team swung, it was a hit. Her ears perked as she watched one run after the ball, he dove for it, and to the blue teams delight, he had caught it, after that her view was blocked by rising audience. Her ears pinned back against her skull in surprise and confusion. Had they won? Neela slid herself away from the audience, making sure she bumped into no one before making it to the other side, sighing as she looked through the fence. To her own delight, the blue team had won, the one whom had caught the ball, was making his way to a female, he said something to her before leaving her side. Closing her eyes she placed a hand over her muzzle and yawned lightly. Her ears twitched at the sound of her growling stomach. Glancing over, at the other side of the park, across the street was a pizzeria. Craving pizza, she made her way towards the establishment, order herself a slice and a soda, eat and then move on with her day.

Devrik walked into the pizza parlor inconspicuously. He decided to try and beat the rush of baseball players who would be coming to celebrate thier victory. He pulled out a black card as he handed it to the lady. "Give me two large pizza's one supreme meat lover and one with just cheese." HE said giving the lady behind the counter a very disarming smile. You know, one of those ones that just make it so you can't be mad at the person. She scanned his card after he added a dr. pepper to the purchase. He sat at the table by the window waiting for his food to finish up.

Neela walked in the Pizza Parlor, her bag clinging onto her as she fiddled with her phone. No calls, no txts, nothing. She wrinkled her muzzle in disappointment and shoved it in her pocket. She probably figured they were all at work, after all, she herself had missed work and was taking a day off, despite that, she had checked in with her boss to see if it was alright, he had agreed, much to her liking, leaving her to do whatever she pleases for the day. Yawning, she walked to the empty counter and looked up at the menu. She memorized what she wanted in her mind, looking at the man in front of her, she gave him her order. "Two large pizza slices and a large Dr. Pepper please" She spoke, keeping eve contact while giving her order before looking back up at the menu. "Anything else miss?" Neela checked again, sighing, and shook her head. "No, that's all" The man punched in the numbers before giving her a total. "For here or to go?" "To go" "That will be $9.50" Neela dug through her messenger bag, pulled out her wallet and handed him the money. Once she got her change, she grabbed her empty cup, filled it with her desired soda and sat down, sipping it contently. Shifting in her seat, she turned around, beside her sat the very guy that dove for the ball, because of him the team won. "Nice dive, congratulations on the win" She said as she gave him a small congratulatory smile.

 heart Rose heart Rose walks home and unlocks the door once she got there. she sits infront of the tv and watches tv until Devrik got back with the food. she loved being with him. he was the best big brother in her opinion.

Devrik was zoned out, in his seat looking out the window. It was nice to not be working for Vincent anymore. Sure theres less money coming in but it was much easier on the mind. He heard a voice speaking in his direction and looked and noticed the girl from before. "Thank you." he said giving her a smile. "I'm glad you enjoyed the game." He said quickly looking her over. "I take it you like blue?"

Neela watched as he turned in her direction to speak. It was very polite of him, and Neela was glad that he wasn't like every other anthro in this city. She nodded as he thanked her, tucking her black and blue locks behind her ear, to get a clear look at him. "Let's just say it made my day" She said with a smile before leaning back on her seat. Her ears twitched at his last words. She tilted her head slightly in confusion. Her love for the color wasn't all that obvious...was it? "How did you know?" She asked, a little curious as to how he knew. Her clothes were black, all but her watch, bracelet and hair, which all had blue on them.

Devrik smiled. "Picking up subtle nuances is a rather important trait in my old job." He said with a nod as he lifted the brim of the hat he was still wearing. "You'd actually be surprised how much about people you can learn just by little signals people give off." He said watching some more people walk in and order. The first patron was standing side ways listening to his music. "See how his feet are pointed to the door even though the counter is that way. I'll bet money he's in a hurry to get somewhere and is thinking about getting to that door as quickly as possible." He said sitting back.

Neela listened to him, tilting her head slightly as he said that picking subtle nuances was a rather important trait in his old job. She raised a brow, finding it all a bit odd. She herself could pick up on some things about a person, some less obvious than others. "I'm not all that vigilant over signals, really, I'm actually a bit more, lets say, distant from others...I care little about what their signals give off" She said with a light shrug. Her blue eyes traveled to the guy that he was speaking about, looking at his feet as Devrik pointed out how he was going to leave in a hurry, to her it didn't look like that was the case, but then again she could be wrong. "Well you say that, but I do not think its always at it seems, looks can be deceiving and so can the way one moves their body, some others are just unpredictable." She said with a light smile, her ears twitching as her order was called out. "That's me" She said as she stood up and walked to the counter, picking up her tray before walking back, setting the tray down and sitting back on her seat. She picked up her first slice and took a bite, her blue eyes falling on Devrik, to see if he had anything else to add.

Devrik nodded as she spoke. He watched her get up to get her pizza. As she turned away he couldn't help but notice that the girl had a great figure. He looked away a bit until she sat back down. Nothing more embarrassing then being caught gawking. "That may be true, but when you just need a window of only about 10 minutes to get it done, you don't have to be spot on." He said as he noticed his own order being called. He walked over to the counter and took his slice and cut it in half. He placed the half of the meat lovers with the full cheese pizza and set them in a to-go box. those were for his sister. He carried his half back to his table and ate quietly. "Oh, how rude of me. " He said wiping his mouth. "Devrik." He nodded.
