Name: 이희재 (Lee Hee Jae) - Hate my names for several reasons... -_-;; Age/DOB: 20 (Korean age: 21) - 11/02/86 Background: Born in the States, moved to Seoul at age six, and raised there until I finished High School. Yes, I'm a proud, full-blooded Korean who can speak both English and Korean fluently, but I get a bit confused when writing in Korean. My family still lives in Korea, so I visit it as often as I can, and I love it there... 서울짱!

Green Tea Leaves here, but the korean anem is Yu-jin. I hear from a transfer student here that it's a really common name...
Oh well, I like it. My sister is hee-jin. funny. And then my brother is just yo-sep.
Ok, well I am, indeed, Korean, but I live in America.
Born in New York, actually and moved around for a few times. I'm only 17...unless you add all my character's ages onto me then *counts on her fingers* - I've lost count. sweatdrop
I can pretty much understand most of korean, can speak it with gramatical errors and then- It takes me a long time to spell and read. And then the spelling is horrible. I used to know how to type korean, but the program isn't even on my computer and I've forgotten how to.
sweatdrop
So~ yea...

Name's Bunny (not legally yet, but it WILL BE!) I'm 21 at the moment, turn 22 at the end of this year. I'm actually Black, but I have a white avi cause I'm strange? Actually, this is my secondary account, had some problems with flamers before on the other one, so I just don't use it that often. Um, I'm in college and I am majoring in Japanese, but it is my intention to learn Korean too. My best friend was born there and moved her when she was 6 months old-got adopted...
Oi! I ramble! 'Nuff 'bout that.
Nice ta meetcha! ^-^

안녕하세요!
Name: Julie =) Age: Currently 16 Born in: America
Erm, I'm not Korean, so I hope you guys will teach me your language and culture! I first became interested in Korean's POP culture when I was 14, I think... I saw this uber kewl Shinhwa music video on this Asian channel and I was like, "Wow, dude! Why don't Americans do this kind of stuff?! Why don't the Chinese do this kind of stuff?!" I immediately went on youtube, thinking, "Korean music rocks!" I became a frequent listener of Shinhwa's music... then I found out about DBSK and VOOOOOM! The whole Korean industry appeared apparently before my eyes. Even before all this, I never realized my mom loves Korean dramas! I watched a few with her, but back then, I didn't even know what exactly "Korean" was. All I thought was that they liked to produce tear-jerking tragic dramas where the main characters always die of cancer. As a family, we sit and cry together at those sad scenes.... hahahaaaa....
But then I watched Full House and realized not all Korean dramas are like that. 3nodding Korean dramas and mvs are the bombz.
Hmmm.... then I decided to write a fanfic on Shinhwa, right? So I searched everywhere about the Korean culture so I could embellish the fanfic with the appropriate setting and all. As I was collecting data, I became sooososososososo interested in the Korean culture! Too bad the collection of those information is gone now. =( Some dude erased it from my computer. I remember searching up all those different Korean dishes, looking at its ingredients and delicious-looking pictures.... awwwww....
Because of that, I decided I want to go to Korea one day. If I want to go, then I must know how to speak with Koreans, right? So I tried self-teaching myself Korean by sitting through around an hour a day looking at "Learn how to speak Korean" videos -you know, Ahn Chak Hee-. For awhile, I thought I was on my way to success, but that was summer. When school approached, I stopped watching the videos. I totally forgot most of the stuff I learnt, but I went back to the basics and retaught myself the alphabets. Right now, I have library books teaching me Korean.... and some Korean myths. =3 Next year, I might even enroll in Korean class to officially learn from a professional. As for now... I'll just try to not forget the common phrases I know, study from the Korean picture books and ask some of my friends who're in Korean 4 to help me out once in a while. ^-^
Thank you so much for accepting me to this guild! 고맙습니다!!!
