She'd been about to respond to both the boils sitting next to her when the teacher spoke. Did the one just call her cute? Holly would have to tell him later that indeed her fox form was cute, perhaps even cuter. The ghoul watched the teacher. Why did she sign up for this class? Actually, why did the sloth demon sign up, seemed to much work from what she gathered about him the other day.
Holly didn't want to wait and make a fool of herself later. So she quickly went before any more students could. It seemed the other two to go did fine, couldn't be that hard right? Holly walked the line straight as the teacher had said. Getting to the end of the line she turned and came back. Easy enough!

Piece of cake. Natalia was poised for this class perfectly; she had always found it easier to catch the eyes of passerby's when one looked as sharp as they felt. Walking after the crowd, swinging her hips to and fro with every light step, she watched as one student after another took to the red line with ease. Even that Holly girl, the young looking one who the ghoul figured would be the clumsiest of all, sauntered across it almost perfectly. There was no doubt in her mind; she would succeed at this and any other task given to her! She was an overachiever after all. Head tilted high, Natalia stepped onto the path and shut out the noise. Her turn had come.
The monster strode down the line with incredible speed, considering her footware. Step after step taken on point with very little error to make note of, (occasionally her shoulders would hike, but catching them and dropping them immideately made it a very subtle if at all noticeable) she reached one end after several blinks and then turned elegantly, the sleeves of her top flowing with her movements. To be safe, and also to keep herself balanced further, Natalia lifted her tail off the ground and curled it into a half circle, the arch tapping against the middle of her back from time to time.
Taking one, shallow breath when she returned to the waiting crowd, Natalia snapped her fingers and smiled. Boom.

Students started to get up so that they could do the task at hand. Seemed like an odd sort of task to preform to the demon but if it was what he'd need to do to pass then so be it. Charlie hopped to his feet and watched what the other students were doing.
Just ... walk the white line? That looked easy enough! The demon folded his arms behind his head and preformed the task at hand with no problems. Needless to say he was quite proud of him self and it showed in the goofy smirk.

Aymet didn't quite understand what posture was for. He'd never needed it, especially for video games. Plus, he was dead, right? Dead guys weren't supposed to show up to fancy dinner parties and sit properly and know which fork was for salads. He thought this class was supposed to be some kind of short class. Just a 'touch' of going to class, which would leave that much more time for video games. He didn't like this at all. And neither did the thing still rustling in his now-unattended bag.
Between wings, tail, and having a face that protruded a good deal forward of the rest of him, even Aymet's best posture was more of a Godzilla walk than anything else. The thin line that made up Ms. Winters's mouth as he followed the line was rather unmistakable. The dracolich stalked back to the group, standing next to his seat-mate, Hadiyya.

(( Fail 1 ))
Alessa was sure to give Barth a smile, though she wondered if his reintroduction of his name meant he didn't want it shortened and she had bumbled. It was a little embarrassing, but it was easy to brush off the feeling as she was chatted up by some of the other students. The first was LW, who seemed nice enough. "Nice to meet you," she said and offered honestly, perhaps sensing the ghoul's discomfort, "You look nice. And dancing seems like it could be fun...I've never done much of it, though, so I'm not sure." Oh boil, she hoped this class wasn't going to turn into a...how often can Alessa make of a fool of herself ordeal.
"Oh, yes! I hated it when we all got separated," she admitted to Livi, seeming sincerely sorry, to the point where a bit of worry actually sneaked into her expression, reflecting perhaps how she'd felt when she'd found so many of their group dispersed. "And then we thought everyone had gone on ahead...but I am glad we made it out alright. I much prefer sitting here with everyone than...well, where we were before." She seemed to relax at that. Yes, they were all in class now, safe, embarrassments aside.
"Glad to meet you both. Though," she said with a small frown to Siddie and Christof, "I hope I don't sound silly, I feel like a broken record, with so many new people..." She was curious about the boil's writing, perhaps he couldn't speak? She wouldn't ask, at least not now. Luckily her attention was diverted as the teacher began to speak.
Walk along the line? That didn't seem too hard. She watched as the other students did it and passed, and couldn't help but feel at ease. She could do this one alright. When it came to other things it might get harder but...this she could do.
Or so she thought.
When it came to her turn she began to walk on the line, steadily, trying to think more about her posture than her feet. Her feet could move on their own right?...apparently not. Suddenly it seemed one ankle snagged against the other and not only had she wobbled, therefore failing, but she topped to the side and onto the floor with a squeak. The first thing she was aware of was the ache in her hands and right knee, which she had landed on. Then, of course, came the mortification. Really? She'd fallen? Her hair seemed to flush as red as her hair. Quickly she stood back up, almost bouncily as if to fake passiveness at her failure. As she brushed off her dress, though, there was no hiding that look of self-directed frustration as she shuffled to the back of the line, not meeting anyone's gaze.

Barth was not a fan of correct posture. His never-ending struggle with his constant nemesis, gravity, prevented him from concentrating on things like poise. The presence of a dance floor concerned him.
He was not a fan of walking.
But look, there was going to be more walking anyway.
Barth got up, slowly. He would walk, but he would do it at his own pace. Straightening from his usual heavy slouch, he was taller, and with the long horns and his clothes not bunched together, he was almost...intimidating. He completed the assigned walk with demonic grace.
Very slowly.
Then he slumped right back over again.

((Pass)) Julian watched his classmates go ahead of him, avoiding going first. But he wasn't going to wait forever, either, so he finally straightened his shoulders and stepped forward. The demon adjusted his wings ever so slightly and walked to the line, his talons clacking on the dancefloor. Yeah, heels and wings and tails? Try walking like this with big bird feet.
Regardless, he was rather light on his feet and managed to walk the line like they'd been instructed, his hands clasped lightly behind his back. His wings twitched with his nerves, but he walked the line and returned to the rest of his classmates.

Lips had been parted to speak, finger poised to wave, when the class was called to order and her attention settled once again on the elegant Ms. Winter as she spoke, and then lay out their first task. Walking a line. Lips pursed, the demon lass couldn't help but wonder what sort couldn't walk a straight line, but it wasn't her lesson to teach.
When the professor called for a volunteer the marid contemplated stepping up, but just as her hand was moving to raise the nix volunteered himself. Hmm. The tiny smile that bloomed along dark lips was purely subconscious. She watched as he made the thin line look like a cake walk, then went on to watch another handful of students handle themselves admirably.
And then her seat mate took his turn, and suddenly Yaya ha a new found understanding as to the importance of this very basic lesson. As he returned to her side she gave his arm a pat before stepping up to take her own turn. Head up, shoulders back, Hadiyya moved down the line with all the poise and grace that was expected from a demon of noble blood. Down and back, she cometed the task easily before returning to the undead boil's side.

((Editted to add in response to Alessa >>; *Because I hadn't seen it* )
The ghoul's confession to him made him smile gently in understanding. It wasn't like the whole trip hadn't been an insane thing as it was and it had been hard to keep track of people in it all, he had to admit. "It's truly all right. It was so difficult to know where one person was at any given time if they weren't watching them with hawk eyes the whole time. But yes, least we're back home where we belong and we're all in one piece. Hopefully, we won't be making a trip like that anytime soon. Perhaps now we shall be able to chat some more and at a greater length than before." She seemed a nice enough ghoul and he did like her fashion sense; though he had to wonder if she got cold at times or not. But since they were now in a club together, it shouldn't be that hard to find things to chat about, right?
A task of walking? It was truly the first time he had ever had to do something like that before. He knew that walking was very important, since if you bumbled about it would bring mockery upon you. But it wasn't something he spent time practicing... though one would think he would. Figuring it couldn't hurt to do this, he waited his turn to walk the line. But it did prove to make him falter a bit, something that made a large mental frown appear to him. This was not good in the least. How shameful that he, as a demon, couldn't even walk a line! But he wasn't about to let it slide so easily.
However, he felt for Alessa and as he passed by her, he whispered into her ear, "No one is perfect and minor falters shape us to better ourselves, yes?" Everyone could strive to better themselves and this was a minor detail up the ladder of greatness.

Mentally berating himself for not getting it right the first time, he knew he had to try it again. He was, after all, more stubborn than he probably should be. Making sure his face showed none of his slight frustration at himself, he shoved some locks of hair off his shoulder before he went back to the starting point. Taking a bit to just make sure his mild irritation was gone, he started again, taking his time to make sure he did it the way he was supposed to. He had heard comments on the dance floor, but noticing it himself made him grin a bit. He liked dancing, every now and then, but it couldn't hurt to learn some more methods of the art.
This time, he seemed to do much better. Least he didn't falter. Maybe he had just needed a warm up.

The second time went about as well as could be expected, which was to say, it didn't go well at all. He kind of had it at the beginning after watching the green demon, but soon reverted back to his more question mark-shaped spinal curve. Ms. Winters sent him back this time before he'd even made it halfway down the line.
Clearly this simple task was not nearly simple enough for Aymet.

They were supposed to walk a line? Just walk down the line? Merope stared in disbelief at the line, then up as the students began to walk down it. Some were confident, some weren't, some seemed to share his thoughts that this was perhaps one of the most ridiculous things a teacher has ever asked them to do.
A prod from behind prompted him to move forward. Okay. He can do this, nevermind that he had more experience walking on all fours thanks to the Christmas raid. Let's see, left, right, left, right, relax the shoulders, let the wings bob up and down and let the tail flick left and right too, yes?
It was a good thing the room was well-lit. If it were any darker, the undead boil would have been distracted by the after-glow his bioluminescene left behind. He completed his easy saunter, giving Aymet a quick fistbump of encouragement on his way by before joining those who had completed the task.

(( PASS??? ))
By the third time, Aymet was determined to pass the sobriety test. After watching Merope manage to pass the test with ease, he stood there and thought. And thought. And thought a little more. And then it struck him - it was so simple.
The dracolich reached back behind him with his clawed hands. There was (for the living) a gut-wrenching scrape and 'pop' of bone against bone as he dislodged each of his wings from their sockets, as well as a serious breach of personal space as he waved the things around and knocked them into people in an attempt to fold them up like umbrellas. Satisfied, he shoved each of the webbed and bony bundle of body parts to Charlie and Riley as he passed them on the way to the line. "Hold onto this for me, would you?"
Either Aymet had lost a little of the damning curve to his spine or Ms. Winters had completely lost her patience with him and his complete inability to fix his posture. Either way, she didn't make him do it again.
Oh, and Charlie and Riley still had his wings.

Well, it seemed she wasn't the only one to mess up, but Alessa was embarrassed to see she was the only one clumsy enough to have fallen. She fidgeted a bit, subtly, as she waited for her turn again, clearly wrestling with her own dissatisfaction and mortification at her bumble. She was so absorbed that when Livi whispered something to her, quite close actually, she was surprised and gave a small start. Processing his words, she flushed again and gave a mute nod, not trusting her tongue not to snap out something rude at him because she was still mad at herself. Despite this, though, some of her tension seemed to have eased at his words. She had known when she'd first met Livi that they'd get on, and he kept proving that to her it seemed. It was nice.
Oh, there it was, her turn again. She took a breath and walked out onto the line. This time she made sure she walked slowly enough that she could pay attention to her feet and posture. When she made it to the end she sighed in relief. Well, it looked like she had made it...and no more tripping.

Oh look, a test on posture. At least it was one of the everything many things Riley could do with ease. As she stood to take her turn, however, she was.. assaulted with a wing.
Out of instinct alone her hands clamped down on the folded wing, and she looked at Aymet with astonishment. Why would he rip off his own wings to - oh, look. It flapped a little. Riley opened up the wing, and laid a finger against it's boned edging, before wrapping it around her like a queen's cape.
She even made undead detached wings look elegant. As she walked up and down the line with perfect poise, she twisted the wing-cape to one side with a flourish, and gave Aymet a half-lidded, mischievous gaze.
What a lovely gift. I can't wait to see what else you plan on removing for me.
