Cloud frowned, glancing in Antoinette's direction at Professor Kalle's remark. She couldn't see why anybody would take a non-required class, if they had no interest in it. She shook her head and turned her attention back to her notes.

'Well, they do have the ability to spit venom instead of fire, which I find rather interesting,' said Kalle, before clapping her hands together. 'Right, now... Phoenixes.'

Alright. Lena said after her question was answered by Professor Kalle. Thanks, Professor! She finished writing down her notes about the Knucker and waited for the professor to start telling them about another kind of dragon. She hadn’t heard of the next one they would be discussing.. The Mexican Phoenix or something? She thought phoenixes were.. birds? Lena didn’t really know and waited eagerly, very curious, wanting to learn about this dragon which she had never heard of. Why were they called phoenixes? Did they burn into ashes when they died? Like the phoenix bird?
When the Professor announced they were almost done learning about dragons, she felt a bit gloomy.. She could have studied them forever..

Phoenixes are most popularly found in the reeds off the shores of lakes and small islands, as this is their preferred nesting area. The egg of a phoenix is almost a sphere, with irregular patterns looking like mountains or hillsides, though they are not raised. Phoenixes grow to be approximately forty feet in length and between five and ten feet in height. The colour of a Mexican amphithere is a blue, green or mix of the two, whereas the phoenix is a fiery red colour. Although this phoenix does not engulf itself in fire when it is dying, it does have the ability to breathe fire. To attack prey it may also lash with its tail much in the fashion of a whip, or use its tail to strangle and suffocate prey. Phoenixes do not have a specific diet they adhere to, and will eat most mammals indigenous to the Americas. However, their favourite food is llama. An interesting feature of the phoenix is that the feathers found on its tail and about its neck have a gold, metallic appearance. They also have incredibly long, serpentine bodies and no legs or arms whatsoever. Another distinguishing feature is their long, narrow tongue and golden eyes. Kalle grinned when Sophia mentioned Phoenixes were her favourite. She then faced the forest and whistled quickly and sharply, then called out, 'Wilwarin!' Suddenly a bright blue figure burst from the tree tops, scattering leaves everywhere. It then writhed through the air until it was facing the students and soared above them, slowly circling in and lowering itself with each swoop of the great wings on its back. Each movement made the sun reflect off its golden feathers as it landed on the ground, slithering to a stop beside Kalle. She placed a hand on its head and nodded, then said, 'Students, I oresent to you Wilwarin, our female phoenix.' She then smiled proudly at the dragon beside her.

She then looked up when Professor started calling for something. She watched as a beautiful creature stopped next to Professor Kalle. She looked at it taking in the beautiful features and movements.

'No Heart, this species does not harm humans. If it did, I would most definitely keep it as far from this class as possible!' said Kalle with a slight laugh.

Although her tone couldn't be any more acerbic, the dragon's feathers were of a beauteous colour, and Antoinette couldn't help but ogle the Phoenix's plumage.
