Pausing as Riley had gone to slip off his back, he looked to where she went. It was a little hard to tell, but it looked like Aksaja was on the ground. He had heard his voice earlier but it wasn't until now that he realized where he was exactly. The other dragon wasn't looking too great either for that matter.

Moving a little closer, he peered down to look him over. It seemed that one could just sneeze on Aksaja and he'd be dead. With that in mind, he stood by, keeping a watchful eye out in case one of the JOY abominations decided to come on by.

"Think he'll make it?" he asked the Mindflayer. This place would be a horrendous place to die, he thought. The red dragon was just about ready to head back to Halloween town, but they weren't done here yet. But he hoped they were done soon.

Riley looked up at Jericho, unable to hide the pessimism in her eyes. Her words did not match her look at all.

Of course he's going to make it. She announced sternly. We're all going to make it. She looked back down at Aksaja, and curled him closer for warmth. They wouldn't have sent us in here if they weren't sure we'd make it. She lied through her teeth.

Whatever the intentions the school had for this special field trip were being clearly eclipsed by the looming threat of casualty.

Or, she mused with an failing attempt at a light tone, he'll die, and come back as a ghost anyway. And probably haunt me for the rest of my life for taking the pumpkin pill that could have saved him.

The pumpkin pills.. she had almost forgotten. He still had to have one of his own, didn't he? Aksaja, come on. Look at me now. Pumpkin pills would be of no use to him if he was unconscious.

In truth, the lightning dragon had fallen into a kind of half-aware doze - not truly unconscious, but not awake either. He could hear everything going on around him, but as waking up and moving hurt, he currently had no desire to do so. However, he twitched slightly when Riley actually pulled him into her arms and she and Jericho started talking over him about making it and dying and ghosts... he didn't quite get all of it.

But at the words pumpkin pill, he stirred just slightly again. Though he was hurt, and badly, his mind was still working behind all of the pain. Maybe... just maybe... he could get back what she'd taken, if he played this right. Forcing eyes open (Jack, he didn't have to fake that, as he rather felt like s**t), the dragon blinked blearily up at the Mindflayer. "Mmnph?" he made a soft questioning sound, trying to appear more confused than he really was.

It was relieving to see Aksaja's eyes open and hear his voice, no matter how weak. She brushed his hair back away from his eyes - which was more difficult than it sounded, the way it stuck against his skin from the sweat and soot. Just relax, she murmured quietly, lightly keeping track of the sound of his heartbeat and the way he breathed. If anything seemed amiss, she'd be forced to shove a pumpkin pill down his throat and make him swallow - very forcefully.

Is anyone else hurt? She brought her head up to Jericho, glancing speculatively from him to the shadows in the black haze that she knew were the rest of the students. She didn't even know who was in this black hell with them, because they'd walked right in to battle from the moment they stepped through the door.

Deep in Jericho's throat was some sort of disapproving rumble as he heard both of Riley's answers. She didn't seem to believe her first set and the second wasn't really a nice thought. Though, Aksaja stirred and opened his eyes, which was a good sign he supposed.

"I can't tell. I heard someone ringing a bell earlier but I don't know the extent of the damage," he replied while trying to look around. He couldn't see much better than the Mindflayer right now. With any luck no one was in a worse state than the fallen lightning dragon they were currently tending to.

It was no less than a miracle that Deacon wasn't buried alive under debris. Though, that nice explosion had given him a very sudden meeting with the wall. Thankfully, he'd been sitting a bit close to one as it was. He could barely hear, let alone see anything once his senses seemed to start to regain themselves. He stumbled around awkwardly a little, sneezing against the heavy smoke even with his low to the ground height. When Jericho flapped a little of the smoke away, he caught glimpse of their location for a moment and half-blindly wandered through the smoke. In the direction he'd seen them, as far as he knew. The cat's persistent meowing would be the only way he'd be found, since he most likely wouldn't be seen very easily.

Well, damn. It seemed like it wouldn't be that easy... and there wasn't any way he'd be able to do something like slow down his heartbeat or whatever on purpose, even if he had been aware that's what she was watching for. Gaze sliding over toward the other dragon then, Aksaja wondered if he might be a better bet.

"Hey," he croaked softly, throat raw from all the smoke. Time to seem very, very pitiful...

"Thank you, Sin." Junko sighed softly, smiling. It was a nice gesture but she didn't feel much different than she did before. She was alright though, she'd be okay. As long as she didn't get completely wailed on again. She played nervously with her hair and looked around some more, trying to find a way out just from where she was standing without moving from her spot. She didn't want to leave her friends.

...What was that noise? Junko blinked and searched around for the source. Meowing? Was that a cat? "Kitty?" She cooed out quietly, wandering away from Sin and Alcie to find this kitty. A cat? Maybe it was a student? "Heeeere kitty, kitty, kitty..." Junko called out, bending down a little as she walked as if being closer to the ground would make the cat easier to find.

Hearing a meow, Jericho looked to see a small figure approaching them. He vaguely recalled an orange tabby following the group around so it was safe to say that it was one of their own in their true form here. The dragon didn't linger on the cat too long as he heard a pitiful greeting coming from Aksaja.

"Hm?"

Glancing down at the guy, he tried to see what was up.

Aksaja blinked as if he simply couldn't remember why he'd said anything in the first place, gaze going unfocused for a moment. This wasn't really too hard to do at all... in point of fact, it was harder to concentrate on staying awake and aware of things going on around him. So to space out like that, he just... had to stop trying.

"I..." he began, then stopped, blinking. "Everything hurts," he finally settled on the pure truth. He didn't particularly want to stay awake right now, but if he could con a pumpkin pill out of SOMEONE...

((1-10 shift))

It had taken Aksaja awhile to answer him, but he couldn't really blame the guy. The soot everywhere had to have made it hard to breath and he was still looking very ragged. Giving a rather draconic frown when he finally finished what he was going to say, he looked up and around.

"HEY!" he shouted, trying to get the attention of whoever else was around, "Could we get a healer over here?"

Jericho had noticed that none of the bells were breaking here, so he figured using those would be better than using up the more limited pumpkin pills. Speaking of, he wouldn't mind if he had a little bit of tending to himself. He was sure if he was in his humanoid form, he'd have a number of sizable bruises around his body. Those weren't so easy to see with his scales, but a number of them were scuffed and scratched up.

The lightning dragon winced at the loudness of Jericho's shout, but he so wasn't going to complain just now. What he really wanted was another pumpkin pill to replace the one he'd given away like an idiot lost, but failing that... Bells would work.

He felt like he was lost again; the smoke seemed to continue rolling. Coughing and sneezing in between his calls, he almost missed the fact that Junko was calling for him. When at last he did realize, Deacon meowed out a slightly louder reply, following the sound of her voice, inwardly thankful that she continued her little calls until he could find her.

When he did, he lightly headbutted her shin. Not entirely on purpose, but nonetheless he curled around her leg in an affectionate gesture, thankful to be found and hoping that she'd pick him up and not leave him behind like the siren had done twice before.

Oh! It was getting louder! That was good, meant she was going in the right direction. Junko kept walking slowly until she felt something bump against her shin, stopping where she was and looking down to see the cat winding around her leg. Awwww! How adorable! She got down so he wouldn't be able to see up her skirt or anything, smiling warmly down at him and scritching behind one of his ears. How adorable! "Aren't you adorable! And you even have little booties and...that's so cute!" Junko giggled, moving her scritches to underneath his chin.

"Junko...he's probably a classmate." She reminded the girl as if she were a complete moron. Junko gasped softly and stopped her petting. That was right! Oops. And here she was treating him like some common housecat. Nonetheless Junko scooped him up in her arms and cuddled him close against her chest, making her way back to Sin and Alcie with the cat.

"Right, right. I apologize. You're probably a student, huh? Hm...I wonder if I know you." Did she know any cat..er...demons? Or monsters? There was Faint and Deacon as far as she could recall off the top of her head. Though Faint looked more like a tiger! So... Junko blinked. "Deacon?" She heard the call for a healer and frowned, looking around. She didn't have any healing items herself except for her last pumpkin pill, and she sure as hell wasn't giving that up...

Sin heard the call for a healers help and sighed, the bell wasn't a cure all and she wanted to make sure her friends were alright first. Still for the good of the group she moved near Aksaja and frowned when she saw the shape he was in. She gave a Bell a hard shake but the darn thing only healed him 3HP.

"Damn unreliable JOY..." She sighed and shook her head before looking back at Junko. "What we need is to get out of here...the infirmary tent is..." Well it was damn far, but maybe the gnomes out in ChristmasTown could patch some of the worse off students up. She was still in prime health so for now it seemed she would be walking around bell ringing and trying to get everyone on their feet again.
