Eracs saw his other friend Draven. Well he was still a raven but he swallowed. Wait can scarecrows swallow? Never mind. "Dravennn~" He waved his severed arm at his friend. Maybe he should put that back on. Eracs stuck his arm on and worked on getting it back together.
"Draven! I fought a reindeer thing. Well this one was flesh, not bone like the last. And I got this!" He held his box out. "Oh and Alerick is fighting one now too!"

"Oh Junko I was worried!" She laughed and relaxed when she saw that nothing seemed to be viciously attacking them. She had thought elves would pop out and try and keep them away or something.
She grinned at Maladore and shrugged at it's comment about her outfit. "It's better then freezing to death, and amazingly it seems to...fit here. I intend to burn it the moment we're back home though." She laughed lightly and walked closer glad to be among friends again.
"Has anything tried to attack yet?" She asked curiously glancing around again. This place was terribly bright her eyes narrowed in an attempt to filter things.

Lucien was running after Israfel when he heard Israfel tell him to get over there. Although his feet were bare, they were not as cold as you'd expect. They were still rather store though from his previous fight, he tried not to show it in front of Israfel. He looked down at Israfel and to the dragon that Israfel had rushed over to. He was rather shocked, and he tilted his head as he spoke out, "What... happened?"

Merope rolled his eyes at Cyrilla. It wasn't his fault he didn't grow up eating metal! Since when did metal pull a mean, nasty trick like this anyway? He glared at the red and white striped pole. Stupid thing.
He stared as the dracolich grabbed his tongue. "???" He asked, not comprehending. Then she tugged, and he understood completely. "!!! AAAGH WHAEHARNIKKLES!" He garbled and flailed, even moreso when the siren ran up and poured something on his tongue. Between pulling and pouring, the boy's tongue was quick and easy to peel off the pole. "Whew!" He breathed, shaking his head and reeling his tongue in. "Hooorgh, thank yoooou." The dragon then make a face and stuck his tongue out again, looking down it cross-eyed. "What was that stuff? Blerrgh!"
Merope turned his attention to Lucien, nodding towards the pole. "See that? That is not edible. My tongue got stuck to it." He admitted mournfully, before looking over himself. Was that... candy stuck to him? "Uh. Gumdrop or peppermint, anyone?"

"Your other option was freezing to death? Then I agree you were prudent, but... only just," Malodore said pleasantly. Though the plague doctor was morbidly curious why those were the only options, it didn't feel the need to inquire further.
"I have seen a few elves-" Oh, it recognized those from Mr. Blobby, yes it did! "- and a reindeer. Not a 'ghost' this time, a flesh-and-blood one."

It pleased him to see that Corbin was all right. Despite the frightening looking things constantly appearing, he was sure the other students could handle it. After all, if they've managed to get this far, they should be able to, right? As he listened to his question, his head tilted a bit as he studied him. Spearheading? That sounded like a good idea. This place was nothing more than an insane maze, it seemed, the Workshop nowhere in plain sight. It was one thing to see a few buildings on the map but being in the actual place was something else altogether. "Sure, sounds like a good idea to me. In this town, shuffling about in a large group would be a rather bad idea."
Fly? His eyes shifted to Corbin's wings before he looked back at his own. He wished he could fly... maybe he could learn how to at school or something. That was neither here or there at the moment, and thankfully the thought passed as easily as it had arrived. But he figured it'd be faster if he did... even though the question was a first for him. "All right. If it's faster, then flying to meet the others sounds best. Where are the others? Io and her brother, Braum and his girl and Aksaja? Do you know if they're all right?"
Since they had traveled so far with them, it seemed a tiny bit odd that they weren't around at the moment.

Oh, did they get lost? She thought Malodore had been with them...oh dear, that wasn't good. Junko also looked around in search of anyone she knew to be on the trip; Kasumi, Braum, Yaya, Gabrian, Faint...where were they? "I apologize for running ahead, I just want to get out of here quickly...and yes, anything is better than freezing." Even risking herself for a mark? Ehhh..not like she knew though.
At Sin's question Junko shook her head, carefully cradling Luce against her as she began to walk further into the town with Malodore and Sin. "Nothing's attacked me since the forest. I guess I've gotten lucky?" And she hoped she stayed lucky. "It's as Malodore said though. Some elves, some real reindeer...not much else. It's not very heavily defended, huh?"

"It is edible. Maybe if you weren't quite so small, I guess." The colchian dracolich chirped at her friend. She shook her head and shrugged as she wiped her hands over her dress. Merope drool. Yuck.
She turned her head to the siren, recognizing him from the train and from when they had been in the forest. "Hey. Thanks for the help. I really didn't want to cut off his tongue. It'd be awhile before he could find a replacement." she grinned.
Looking back to Merope she shook her head. "Err, no thanks. You can keep the candy to yourself." her face contorted at the thought. Disgusting, how could anyone eat something like that anyways.

Pawing the item into the snow, to clean it off, he finally felt it was clean enough and grabbed it in his mouth. Slipping a strap of his pack about his left front paw he headed, slowly, toward Eracs and Draven. Setting the gift down he tilted his head to his friends and tucked his ears back. He didn't like talking in this form, his voice more gravely sounding.

Draven heard his name! He cast a quick glance around...and saw Eracs waving his arm at him. Why in Jack's name did Eracs have his arm off again? Maybe he'd gotten into a fight! He looked alright, though, even holding his arm.
"A reindeer thing? Wow! Nice work!" he called, moving closer. Draven was happy to see that things had worked out, and Eracs had a decent piece of loot out of it, too. "Alerick?" he asked, looking around. Oh! There was the werewolf, in wolf form, sniffing a box of his own. A reindeer seemed to have lost that battle, as well.
Draven felt a wave of something inside of him. Could it be? Yes. Where a raven had been pulling a pack a moment before, Draven stood, huminoid again. He picked up his pack, then turned and called to Alerick, "Shall I help you out with your things there?" About time he could repay the favor.
"So you both had a battle? Glad to see you guys showed those things who is best around here!"

Sin gave a wry smile, she agreed with Malodore, the JOYfully colored outfit was only just barely better then freezing. Still it WAS better, and she was glad for it. Poor Alcie was still in her light clothing, though at least she had Sin's boots. Junko had Riley's boots and that had probably saved her toes. This entire trip had been a painfully harsh ordeal, but they were so close now she tried to keep her spirits up.
"Elves and Reindeer hmm? Well Better then Sandy Claws coming out to unleash his wrath on us. We better try and get to the workshop and do what we came to." She rubbed her hands together to generate a bit more warmth.

"It not being heavily defended is very strange to me, actually," Malodore said. "Recall what Professor Shox said to us - that one path, the Candy Cane Lane, was only for the strongest of our kind. Yet here we are, at the same place that lane presumably leads, and we are faced only with reindeer and elves. These creatures do not merit that level of warning..."

Smiling, he was pleased to have of some help. "I have a few undead friends, they sometimes mention the uh...problems faced when thing happen." He waved it off. "And er.... It was..." Pink colored his cheeks. Did he tell them? Well, considering the boil did taste it there wasn't much point to hide it from these two. Still the flask was quickly re hidden in his coat pocket. "It was spider cider. The hard stuff. Just..don't tell anyone okay?" He sighed. His voice was muted so only they could hear, and really Lucien was too kind. He'd not be betrayed by him of of all people."I drank somebefore we came, but if the teachers found out I had more? Ugh, besides, if things get crazy I'll just knock myself out thank you very much." He chuckled a bit, feathers fluffing.
The candy was taken with mild reluctance. "Er, I'll save it for later." It was set in his pocket. "Might prove useful in distracting some of these JOY things. If anything I'm sure that Doctor would like samples of anything laying around." That reminded him. "I'm Israfel by the way, and this is Lucien." He gave the sylph a slight coo of affection, nudging him forward.

"I don't see any of the students who took Candy Cane Lane...maybe whatever was there was stronger than here? Though you'd think they'd have the strongest here." Maybe they figured everyone would be stupid enough to take the shorter road and damn the consequences? Either way Junko wasn't going to complain about not being attacked. She nodded in agreement with Sin. Anything was better than being wiped out by Sandy Claws. "I'll take a couple elves and reindeer over a drunk, overly-friendly tree any day though." She said with a shudder at the memories from the forest; those trees were just wrong.

Lucien could only stare at Merope like he was absolutely insane, and that thought was coming from Lucien. Why would he put his tongue on something he found HERE of all places. Who knows what could have happened. It might have turned the poor thing into a pink elephant or something absolutely frightening scare the students.
His face grew a bit of a darker shade when the siren gave him that small coo of affection but when he nudged forward by his bird, he nearly fell onto the dragon as his bad foot hit a bump in the ground and his other leg got tangled up in his tangled lights causing him to fall forward. He looked at Merope, and laughed. "Greetings," he said. She slowly stood back up, brushing his clothes off.
Oh how he hated that reindeer for it's misdeeds towards him. He'd get his revenge one way or another.
