He would easily trudge through to the middle of the desert with that display of rage and resistances. Though, the heat of the day wasn't getting any better as it actually seems to get hotter as the sun went further up and up into the sky.

The ekans pay no attention to the growl, or at least it didn't at first as it saw the Charmeleon and it smirked openly. Maybe, it was best to go for the pet instead of the master afterall ...as it would suddenly move towards the pokemon with a hiss.
It's tail still glowing as it would whip them forward as it strikes at the chest of his opponent. He was going to injury him and poison him all in the same move as the snake struck out with Poison tail.
The limb moving as fast as a snake's strike ....at that yellowish color stomach.

The Cubone whom's feet he had just fallen underneath jumped at his scream. His tail held upwards ...as he practically danced off his paws with the bone held in a defensive strike. It wasn't like he was going to allow himself to be taken down so easily as he glare daggers at this human.
The bone held ready in his hand.

[sorry, ive been juggling things, i keep forgetting to roll...]
"N-NO!" Joseph shouted as Flare could not take action, only to hopefully sustain the move by lifting his arms in a cross, and try to step backward.
Joseph quickly took out a pokeball and kept it ready in his hand, remembering what happened with the croagunk. "Don't you EVEN hurt him!" Joseph shouted, to try and recapture the Ekans' attention. Just anything to prevent Flare from getting injured.

It was a good stop, because speed wasn't on his side ...as the pokemon lowers his head. His body held more tightly .....as he level it equal to that of the Bagon.
He dug one foot into the ground as he smiled.
He was going to use Skull Bash, which meant, that his defense rose on that turn ...as he waited patiently for the next. In that state, he couldn't move very much, but he would make his opponent regret it once he could.
[+1 defense to Cubone]
332. SKULL BASH = Con. Type Tough = regular attack + 1 def each time used
The pokemon tucks in it’s head, and then attacks on the next turn. Skull Bash raises the user defense by one during the first stage, and then attacks during the second one. The dice is only rolled during the second stage.

[20s and 1, if you roll a 20 your accuracy roll [dice roll] is increased for that phase. In this case, your defense rolls all gain a +1 until the end the battle. Likewise, if you roll a 1, your accuracy roll for that turn ...is decreased by 1]
The move was well planned as the Ekans looked away and his tail would smash into the sand by the Charmeleon's foot instead of hitting against that outstretched arm. His protection held as the snake realized he had moved too far away from the human, and that he was now vunerable to attakc himself as he tries to quickly shift back to where he had all the control in this battle ....as he moved snake swift towards his target.

Joseph was relieved at how well things had worked for the moment, but the moment was now precious...it was time to strike back.
