"Yes, drums." Amrita confirmed Morton's assumption with a nervous and softly cracking voice coupled with a small nod. "I think she did very well." The little Vetala spoke very highly of her friend; it was a pretty high pedestal poor Tahki found herself on. When she felt it safe she glanced at Morton, finding his black bones to be pretty interesting; she'd never seen black before...but she couldn't decide if he was an Undead or a Monster. Unless he could somehow be both? "Did that hurt?" She couldn't help but ask - breaking a guitar with one's head didn't sound so fun!
She had been so focused on the Battle of the Bands conversation that she didn't register the laughter beside her as Tahki's. It wasn't until her hand was grabbed (which was enough to make her jump a bit in surprise) that it sunk in, and she looked down before staring up at her friend. Oooh! Poor thing! Offering her a reassuring smile - well, as much of a smile as she could pull off - the Vetala child squeezed her friend's hand.
There there, everything will be okay!

"Alcie!" Lizzy would have greeted the other ghoul in a louder voice if they weren't in class. However, judging from the smile on her face, she was clearly excited to see the water Demon; they might be living in the same Dorm, but its difficult to meet since the school was huge. So many things had happened since the day the met, and it was a relief to see another familiar face after so long.
She felt someone look in her direction (that was weird, but its probably because she wasn't in the best of moods a minute ago) and turned her head, eyes meeting with Belladonna's. Noticing the look of concern on her face, Lizzy blushed slightly before giving the ghoul a nod, flipping her hand dismissively, "Oh, I'm fine now, really!" Its not like her to stay down forever, after all! Realizing that the note on the Witch's table was from Braum, she didn't know how to react, feeling rather silly for getting upset... Even if it was sort of partially his fault in the first place.
"Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine now!" She regarded Braum with a smile as she repeated herself to him, her voice soft as she blushed ever so slightly; despite the earlier incident, she still can't help thinking that the Demon was rather dashing! Still, he does look a little off today even if it was barely noticeable. Frowning a little, she decided to return the 'favor'. Tearing out a small section from her notebook, she quickly scribbled something down with a pink pen, 'You look a little ill... Don't stress yourself out too much! ♡ ~Lizzy'
Folding it in half, she passed it to Belladonna, gesturing for her to pass the note to the Demon seated beside her as she whispered 'Thank you', looking more energetic and like herself now. Spinning around back to where she had spotted Iggy, she was surprised that the Monster didn't join her at her seat... That was when she spotted Tess as well. Her face turned pink (for some reason, she can't turn red like most) when she realized that she had probably ignored the legless ghoul. Not wishing to leave Alcie alone, she could only wave at the pair again, gesturing for them to come over - maybe they can be introduced to Alcie and Belladonna! Who knows, they might already know each other!

Julian kind of got the feeling that that no matter how bad Amrita had done in the second round, he had done worse. While he was a fairly skilled singer, he was not forceful. And that was what the battle had been about. Morton and Cora had done more of the work.
"A bit," he mumbled at Morton, moving so that his chin rested on his arms instead of his forehead. He blinked when Morton and Cora both pulled up other desks, forcing him to sit even closer to Tahki. He turned a small frown on them, almost as if to say, 'I see what you're doing, and I don't think I like it' though he didn't really know what they were up to exactly. And that's what really made him nervous.
He tilted his head so that he could glance at Tahki when she made her outburst. He smiled at her giggles. She was as quiet as he was, so it intrigued him when she opened up a bit more. It made him notice that he was doing that, too. Mostly when he was just around his friends, but still. His smile fell when her demeanor changed. "I thought it was funny, too," he whispered to her, though he hadn't laughed. It just wasn't something he normally did, no matter if he is amused by something or not.

Junko blinked and watched quietly as the scene unfolded. People were angry, people were fighting, and then suddenly even Cricket was angry! She gasped softly and slouched in her seat as if to hide despite knowing she had done nothing wrong. Wow, she'd never seen a teacher upset before! A wary glance was cast toward Braum and the girl hanging off him and then to the siren boy who looked absolutely mortified, playing with a bit of her hair nervously. Awkwaaaard...so much tension. That poor boy looked like he needed a hug or something, but she couldn't just go up and hug someone she didn't even know!
Was coming to this class such a good idea? She looked around to find some bit of comfort to all this, spotting poor Sin sitting and looking rather uncomfortable. Junko was always uncomfortable, she knew what it looked like! She got up from her seat and wandered over to the demon surrounded by people, doing her best not to have to squeeze in or push past anyone, poking at one of Sin's wings and smiling down at her. "Wow, Sin! I didn't know you were so popular!" She teased, trying to help her out. Even if Junko didn't help with Sin's discomfort...she could at least talk to a ghoul she considered her friend? That was always good, right?

Sin felt a tap at her wing and turned, she gave Junko a smile and scooted a bit closer to Coralie to make room for her. Inside she was getting more and more nervous, Junko was a monster. She was a demon surrounded by monsters, undead, and even a reaper...and the only other demon was Julian who obviously had the demonic social graces of a hippo, which was to say NONE. He didn't even look phased, infact he probably didn't even know about Club Lucky 13. He probably didn't have a single demonically ambitious bone in his body, bless his friendly little bird brain...but SHE did!
Still Junko was her friend and Sin couldn't find it in her black heart to turn her away. Besides the other demons didn't exactly look worried about their status so maybe she ought to just relax a bit. She turned to Junko her voice still low incase the teacher decided to snap at them for having a little party.
"Who do you think you'll get paired with?"

She was glad the demon didn't turn her away or anything like that! But then why would she? They were friends, right? Junko opted to stand for now, not wanting to squish Sin and the girl she was sitting beside, who she offered a polite little bow of the head in greeting. Couldn't be rude! She did recognize all the students gathered here though! That made her feel a bit more comfortable herself; though there was that increasing paranoia in the back of her mind, because She had been so...quiet...too quiet.
That was never a good sign.
When asked who she'd be paired with though she blinked and stared at Sin at first, looking fairly...confused. Paired? Um...wait what? She blushed a little and looked around at the other students in the class. "I...have no idea? As long as it's someone I can work with and won't mind..you know." She pointed toward Her, that blush still on her cheeks. That was really all the criteria the needed for now, someone who would tolerate Her. "What about you?"

Calder's note broke his brain. Not that it wasn't broken to start with. But the idea that Israfel had eaten his own siblings by accident at some point was distressing. Combine it with all the stress of the class so far....It spelled disaster. Not to mention the notion of a lover! The poor Siren wasn't even mating age! It would be scandalous! Starting to hyperventilate, Israfel looked back and forth from Calder to the note. He sputtered and let out a few peeps and squawks. Then he looked around him, and froze at the sight of a vaguely egg shaped pumpkin. Eyes when white and his body sagged forward, limp as a voodoo doll.
Israfel had passed out.

Well she couldn't verywell say that she was hoping to get paired with a demon, it would just sound wrong especially being surrounded by non-demons. Instead she just flipped her hair and smiled giving a light shrug of her shoulder.
"As long as it's a cute boil I don't think I would mind working with anyone..." Which was such a lie that she was quickly forced to pull out her bag and apply some lipstick so she could look into her tiny compact mirror and not Junko's eyes.
She finished and put her makeup away looking back up at her friend with a half smile. "Your so open Junko I'm sure anyone would love to have you as a class partner."

Cricket sighed, continuing to set aside papers on her desk and then placing a pumpkin on top of the pile. Apparently, she was quite well off with making up the pairings that people were going to get put into...
now that they realized what it was that was going on..
(( Sorry this is taking so long, guys! I'm still setting up the homework. Zoo is helping! biggrin ))

Even though she was with Belladona and with Calder, Chuppi was still at a loss for most of what was going on. People were paring up, people were passing notes, people were doing all kinds of things that made the little monster start to get nervous. Very, very nervous. In fact she was nervous enough that the thermos came out and she'd forgotten that she was in the room because she wanted to talk to Elaphe and be more of his friend. Now all she wanted to do was drink her blood and try to calm down, her deep red eyes starting to glow a bright and alarming shade. The blood in her Thermos could only hold her nerves for so long before she paniced, so much activity whirling around with all the students, so it wouldn't be too long before something happened.
Actually now that she thought about, Chuppi hadn't been with many of her friends since the Battle of the Bands, an incident that had made her sing in front of people and get hit with various objects. In the end her band lost thanks to Calder and a rouge drum, but the Chupacabra didn't feel so upset about it anymore. Had she actually ever been upset? She couldn't remember but at the very least she needed to talk with everyone instead of just sitting there. She could see Tess moving around, and Lizzy! Maybe they would want to come over eventually but for now Chuppi stayed where she was, holding on to Belladona's skirt with a single hand.
" . . . . . It is really loud in here."
Her words were directed to her companions though she was rather hard to understand thanks to her accent and the straw poking out from her mouth. she removed it after she heard the empty sound a Thermos makes when the contents are gone, and her face turned a bit to worry when her supply that was meant to last for most of the day was now inside her stomach.
" . . . .I am out of blood."
This was troublesome.

Tess has spotted Lizzy's invitation and felt relief bloom in her chest that the spider demon wasn't ignoring her! Yay! It made Tess more relaxed despite the chaos that was the other students forming into groups of their own. She turned to Iggy, "I think Lizzy wants us to join her with her friend. You up for it?"
While the manananggal had wanted to fly up to her other bandmate since she saw her, she didn't want to make Iggy any more uncomfortable. She still felt like she had to make up for that embarrassing introduction at the tryouts. She waited for the stone angel's response, giving her classmates another precursory scan, spotting what happened to poor Israfel but not understanding or knowing what had caused the siren to faint. And then was Chuppi! She hadn't congratulated the elected Student Council vice-president yet and wondered if Iggy had.
Oh! Maybe she could do that just before they head to Lizzy's seat?

Morton arched a brow as he watched Coralie drag yet another desk over and then, instead of sitting on it, chose to sit on his desk, "Yeah, uhm, I still think that's not the way you're supposed to use it," but then again, whose complaining? Surely not him; the new position was actually better than the previous one (in his eyes) and he'd still managed to scoot the feathery pair just a touch closer. He figured he could live with it, as was apparent by the way he gave the reaper's shin a pat with a hand before turning to look at Tahki.
Eggs were still completely out of his comfort zone, so he merely tilted his head as the talk seemed to spread around the classroom. He didn't know a lot about scarelings, but he was pretty sure it had less to do with eggs and more to do with pumpkins. Specially seeing as how he knew that couples in Halloween could be really varied, species-wise.
Amrita's voice caught his attention, and the gargoyle perked his ears slightly, "Mmm?" a pause, noticing he'd gotten terribly distracted with the eggs and... why was he even thinking about that anyhow? "Oh! Yes well, the bloody things were hard to control at best, so I'm certain she did as best as she could," another pause and seemed to be pondering, "I wasn't really expecting them to make the battle of the bands be... as literal as it sounds," he'd really signed on for the whole music and group working thing, but then again, battling worked just fine for him, "Uhh... actually, no, it didn't hurt at all,"he lifted his hand and knocked on his head a couple of times, producing a rather interesting sound, "I've got a thick skull. And my horns actually absorbed most of the damage. I was lucky though, I guess," he didn't bother to mention that one of those times, he'd willingly stopped it with his head to keep it from hitting Coralie.
He caught Julian's glare (or... as much of a glare as Julian could muster) and offered him a sheepish grin in return, almost as if to tell his friend not to worry; he was done. For now anyhow, "Awwww... laughing is perfectly okay. What's wrong with a bit of mirth anyhow?" fear wasn't the only thing that made th world go round after all; one had to have a little fun while scaring others, otherwise, well... that's just not the way things worked, if you asked Morton.
Turning his attention over to Sin, he really couldn't help but notice how... awkward the girl looked. It was almost as if she wished the ground would somehow swallow her up, though he supposed she was doing a rather good job at maintaining her dignity as Junko joined them, "She's obviously extremely popular, eh?" propping his head up with his fist, he snorted, "I don't know why, but I keep expecting to see us paired in the most chaotic way possible. Not that that's bad in any sort of way - makes it all that much more interesting."

Junko giggled and nodded to Sin, playing nervously with a bit of her hair. Sin was right here and she did recognize some of the people around her from around campus but...she still didn't know anyone else in the immediate area. Was she intruding? Shoving in like this was so rude, why didn't Junko think of that?! Maybe she should go saw hi to Chuppi, leave this group to themselves and stop interrupting them? Oh dear. "Being cute is a plus, I suppose." Though what deemed someone cute? She was looking at all the boils in the room, and she wasn't quite sure who was supposed to be called...'cute'. Man, she was really bad at this!
"What if she pairs you up with ghouls, hm?" She suddenly interjected, having grown bored of just sitting quiet. Junko blinked again and turned her eyes toward Her, tilting her head a little. So what if they were paired with ghouls? It was just a class project.
"I don't think it'd be a big deal..." Suddenly Junko blushed, smiling warmly toward Sin at the compliment she was giving her. Really? Anyone? She looked around again, feeling a bit better now with this assurance; would anyone really love to be her partner? Even with Her around to bother them? Suddenly she heard an unfamiliar voice addressing them, her head turning sharply to see who it as. Gah! Wh-who was...oh. Another boil! With...lots of bones. Didn't he get cold with no skin? Regardless, he was talking to her! Though he did make some kind of..good point. "You don't think she'd pair us with people we couldn't work with...do you?" A wary glance was cast toward Cricket, biting nervously on her lip. "Like...she wouldn't put those two together, would she? Knowing what happened earlier?" She gestured to Israfel and Braum and then went back to playing with her hair. That would be a horrible idea!

"'Supposed to' is over rated," Coralie replied simply, not at all deterred by the fact that she was the only one sitting as she was. She happened to like it. Besides, they weren't doing anything yet. It was almost as if class hadn't really started and in her book that meant doing whatever was most interesting for the time being. She did pass Julian a quick knowing smile at his attempt at the dirty look, seeming completely unabashed by her maneuver. There were far more "helpful" things she could have done instead, after all.
"Hmm, it was a good use for your hard head," she said, coming into Amrita and Morton's conversation a little. She didn't feel the need to explain what that meant to Amrita, but it was worth acknowledging that Morton had been of assistance. Seriously, breaking the other band's guitar twice...it had been pretty darn handy. She eyed Amrita for a moment, looking a little thoughtful, "Mm, is it just a horn thing? I mean, are your horns pretty strong too? I know Morton's boney but..." Idle curiosity generated idle questions.
Glancing over her shoulder at Sin and...well, someone she wasn't familiar with, Coralie had to smirk a little. "I wouldn't be surprised if she did...put us in terrible pairings I mean. What better way to deter us from wanting to go romp in the Pumpkin Patch? I don't know about the boils versus ghouls though...it might honestly just depend on how many of us there are. Who knows." She shrugged, not seeming terribly worried. It didn't really matter to her who she was paired with, it'd be interesting non the less. Well, if it wasn't interesting then at least she'd just have to suffer boredom. Huh.

"Sure! I'd like to meet some more people. And things seem to have settled down a little bit," Igneous took another look around the room. She wasn't sure what had caused that student to faint - hopefully it wasn't something contagious!
She gathered her wings tight against her back so as not to knock anyone over. In a crowded room like this it she was always afraid of hurting someone by accident.
