Lucien was sad that Amrita had never sat on a cloud before. How could that be? How could someone never had sat on a cloud before? He didn't understand it at all. He'd have to fix that. He'd have to take her one of these days! She'd love it! She would be able to be tall for once, and see everything! And both Demon Cat and Golem would be able to go too!
He thought about her question. He had been buried before! He'd been buried under many things before. Ghouls and boils, clouds and flight caps... He was sure the list went on and on. He found himself nodding to her, "Yes," he said, laughing as he recalled their days event.
He met her at the maul, which lead him to his next question.
"Have you ever stolen anything?"

Oooh, he'd been buried?! Poor thing! That was never fun. Then again, she didn't think of 'buried' pertaining to anything but dirt, in the ground. Not that it really mattered at this point, but she was imagining how uncomfortable he was; an air-type trapped under ground. How sad!
Like he had before, his question made her pause and think. Had she stolen something? Well...possessions no. Never! But at the same time - and she glanced down at herself at this point - this body was not hers. Nor did she get permission from the owner, or owner's Guardians, before taking it. So, technically...
"Yes." She answered with a bit of a wrinkle to what remained of her nose. Though now it made her curious. "Have you ever stole anything?" He never said they couldn't question piggy back!

Lucien was rather shocked when she had answered yes to his question and he was really squeezing his head trying to figure out just what she had stolen. What could it have been? Food? Clothes? He was going tot hink maybe she had stolen someone's identity when he remembered she had answered yes to his question about her name. Unless she lied... no, she wouldn't have lied!
He shook his head though, he'd never stolen anything. He'd never even been around anything to steal for most of his life.
"No," he said.
Another question, anything. He felt the cat fur rub against him and he imagined it rubbing against Amrita instead. Would she laugh? Or would it not phase her at all? He looked at her and asked, "Are you ticklish?"

Did stealing make her a bad ghoul? She hoped not. Then again, her kind stole bodies on a near constant basis...so it couldn't have been too bad. Besides, it actually gave her an identity for once! Which was nice. It didn't surprise her that Lucien had never stolen anything, and she tapped her visible teeth at his question.
Ticklish? She had no idea...but not being able to answer meant Lucien could ask her more questions! That could be all sorts of bad! With a bit of a mental flail, she thought really hard - had she ever been tickled by something? Ever?
"No?" She answered, her obvious questioning tone giving away that she wasn't one hundred percent sure, but she couldn't recall ever being tickled. It seemed fair enough, in her head.
"Do you ever walk with your feet on the ground?"

The way Amrita had replied to his question had really only made him want to test it out and see if she was really not ticklish. It really could be a fun little game to try. Sneak on over. Tickle her. He couldn't get kicked in the face for doing so when she had backwards feet! She might even have a hard time trying to stop him with reversed hands. Trying to push his idea aside (which wasn't that hard) for an answer for her question, he looked at his feet. Had he ever walked on his feet? Yes, he had. He was a curious kind of boil, sometimes he did.
"Yes," he said, very much sure he had. He would have stood up and shown her, but he currently had a demon cat in his lap who probably wouldn't enjoy being dropped on the floor because of someone suddenly getting up.
How many questions had this been? He wasn't sure. He shrugged and asked, "Do you like music?"

No, Demon Cat would not have enjoyed that. The somewhat fickle feline would have dropped Lucien from 'awesome' to 'traitor' really fast. Luckily this was not the case, and the creature remained a purring ball of fur on the boil's lap, completely innocent for once.
"Umm..." Hmm, music. She didn't really listen to music on her own...but she did enjoy it when she had to listen. So, she had decided her answer to be a "Yes", spoken as hesitantly and unsure as her previous answer. Hmm...what to ask, what to ask. The little Vetala thought hard, trying to remember some conversations she'd accidentally heard in the Academy, of normal Boils and Ghouls worrying about normal things. Then she recalled the elections; more specifically, the current PR person, and the rumors while he was running for it.
"Do you have a ghoulfriend?" She asked curiously, a little tilt to her head. It was an innocent question in her eyes; it couldn't be taken the wrong way!

Lucien was pleased to hear that Amrita liked music, after all, he had been in a band! A really abusive band, but a band nonetheless. This thought really did put him on a bad tangent, oh how he was grumpy about having everything hit him. Everything. Why had Daisuke betrayed him like that? Shaking his head, Lucien tried to get the idea out of his mind.
Question, question, question. He tried to focus. Did he have a ghoulfriend? What a silly question! He had just said they were friends, she was his ghoulfriend. He nodded his head and said, "Yes," adding a 'silly' in an undertone at the end of it as if she had said something funny. Which she did.
With Demon Cat purring in his arms, he found himself inclined to ask something about Demon Cat. After all, Demon Cat was such a good kitty. He looked down and then back up and towards Amrita asking, "Do you prefer Demon Cat over Golem?"

Amrita had been in a band also, but it was something she tried not to think about too often; after all, they'd been knocked out first round, and she was sore for days after that. It huuurt. His answer made her curious; Lucien had a ghoulfriend! She wondered who it was, and if she would be the type to make him run for student council. Because that Nukpana's ghoulfriend did, or something. Rumors often got crossed. Sadly, she couldn't ask to expand as it was a yes or no answer time.
"No." Amrita answered quickly, wrinkling up her nose. Demon Cat was the more annoying of the two; of Golem got in the way, it was because Demon Cat put or forced it there. But she did like the feline when he was sleeping and purring.
"How many questions is that?" The thought hit her suddenly; she hadn't been counting! Ohgod! ...Aw jackdamnit that wasn't a question that could be answered in yes or no! "I-I MEAN!" She sputtered out, looking distressed all over again. "H-have we asked twenty questions yet?"

Lucien felt like he had to pet Demon Cat even more after Amrita admitted to liking Golem more than Demon Cat. Poor Demon Cat, how would he ever bear the feeling of being second or even third best! Of course, he didn't know the reason why, but he pressed his hands firmly against Demon Cat's fur.
He couldn't help but smirk a little when she got all distressed about her choice of wording. He didn't laugh this time, but if she looked at him surely she would be able to see the laugh being held back behind his lips as they quivered just a little. How many questions HAD they asked? Well, together they almost had twenty. They were almost half way over at nine questions each.
"No," he said, not able to reaffirm her curiosity about how close they were.
He found himself allowing a small yawn to slip past his lips as he opened to ask his next question, "Do you have any dreams?"
That made ten for him, nine for her!

Demon Cat purred harder when there was pressure on him, squiriming for a moment before making himself comfortable on his side. Amrita however, was actually looking at him, so she did catch the smirk and the quivering lips; she was getting incredibly worried that he was going to laugh at her again. When he didn't, it was like a wave of relief hitting her.
Thank Jack!
But oh, they hadn't yet? It seemed like she was asking a lot, and that he was asking a lot as well. But twenty seemed like a lot more than she thought it was. Did she have dreams? Nightly dreams no, but she also knew that dreams meant future goals. Those she did have.
"Yes." She said with a smile, scratching the skull part of her face. Her thoughts on questions was disrupted by his yawn...or at least remembering that he had yawned.
"I'm sorry! Are you bored? I don't mean to make you bored!"

Lucien was pleased to hear he was not the only person with a dream. He wondered what kind of dream Amrita had. Was it like his dream? Maybe it was really different from his dream! He tried to guess at what her dream could be in his head, trying to cross off certain things from a list. Aaaaah, it was too hard! There were just too many awesome things to dream of!
He shook his head. He wasn't bored, not at all. He had a demon cat in his lap, and good company to play a game with.
"No," he said. "Are you?"

"No! Not at all, I was just...you yawned and..." Her index fingers poited together, very worried about boring her friend. It didn't seem that she needed to worry though, and she let her worries drift off on the same tangent it came in on. It still didn't cross her mind that she had messed up the question process, and once she was back on track she thought of something to ask him.
"Do you have siblings?" Amrita asked, using her nervous hands to instead brush her hair, since she didn't actually have a brush in her possession. Still, Mini Golem snoozed in content on her lap while his arch-nemesis the Demon Cat purred away on Lucien's.

Lucien kind of just sat there with a dumb look on his face. She had asked him a question more about his parents than it was about him. He wasn't sure. He could have siblings, after all, he had never asked his parents if they had children other than him. What if he did have siblings? Oh no, did they like his siblings better? Is that why they were always away to the "human world business trips"?
"Um..." He drew out. "I'm not sure."
Thinking hard on her question, he completely forgot to ask a question to her in exchange.

Lucien...was stumped? Lucien, stumped? Amrita stared at him for a moment or two in pure astonishment. She stumped him! Yay! She found a question he couldn't answer, nor could he laugh at her for it! Heeee...
Her moment or joy was lost for a moment when she reflected on her own question...and she became as contemplative as he was. It was a good thing he didn't ask her that; she wouldn't have been able to answer, either. She thought about it, then picked lightly at one of her visible ribs; this body, when the girl was still alive, probably had siblings. But as Vetala sibling? Unlikely. Not that she knew for sure.
"Me neither." She informed him, leaving the rib alone to go back to brushing her hair. "It's probably safer to say no?" Despite still talking about herself and her general lack of siblings, it seemed to work for him too. "Hey hey, what's it like to sit on a cloud?" Amrita asked, recalling his question from earlier.

He found himself coming to the conclusion that when he seen his parents again he'd have to ask them if they had more children. If he had a brother, or a sister, or siblings -- not quite realizing siblings were the same as a brother and sister as the thought crossed his thought train. A train that was going way too fast in his mind. Thanks to the Vetela though, Lucien's thought shifted when she not only mentioned herself not knowing, which made him wondering about her but then completely to a new topic when she asked about the clouds.
Oh clouds.
Sitting on them? Oh, wonderful.
"Very soft, perfect."
