Cabron LaSwan -Dessynea- Rather than random dice rolling and thus people getting to be in it more than once. What if we just looked at the member list (either in the order it is, or sorted by post count) and grouped people in the order they are in. If you sorted by post count, you could weed out people who aren't even here, and are just members for whatever reason.
Just an idea. But we can do that with common sense, too. And that would mean the same people would always get drawn together, barring large lapses in activity. And that method wouldn't account for people who have left and still have relatively high post counts, nor people who didn't wish to be included for whatever reason.
But whatevs, it was just an idea to eliminate random chance landing someone in every drawing. I guess I didn't understand exactly what your goal was here, I may have misread.

smile I really doubt the random dice would put the same person in it so many times that it would be a problem. It just seems like a bit of a silly thing to be planning for, to me. If it did become a problem, we could always re-roll. My goal is to make picking a group as quick and simple as possible for the person volunteering their time to make the piece of homepage art, and your method sounds way more complicated than it has to be (unless I misunderstand it.)
I was thinking of doing it like Mafia signups, where everyone who wanted in on it would have to post in a thread to express their interest. People who weren't regulars would never see it, and people who didn't want in would simply not post.

@LPS: I don't think it is complex at all. Hit Guild Members, pick three to five (whatever number you are doing) who are near each other, draw them.

-Dessynea- @LPS: I don't think it is complex at all. Hit Guild Members, pick three to five (whatever number you are doing) who are near each other, draw them. That kind of defeats the randomness factor, doesn't it? xd

But before I say anything more, I'm going to ask if you want to help me work this out. Because, honestly ever since that one day with the whole art thing, I've felt like you've kept a grudge against me. O: And I don't want to feel that way anymore.
