No problem!
Wow, sorry for the long delay in getting back over here... x__x I need to be better with guilds (not to mention that March was a particularly HELLISH month for both Shiva and myself).
I think I'm going to STAY busy, though, and keep on busy... not a lot of free time is going to exist in my life from here on out, I'm afraid. Since it's one page, I wouldn't still mind working on this project. It needs activity, though. xD And frankly, at this point I don't know what to do anymore.
I'm thinking, however, to change the deadline for each page from 1 week to 2 weeks. A week would be HELLA difficult for me. Let's face it, I'm not working for Shounen Jump and I'm not going to be anytime soon. crying
Opinions?

Let's face it, I'm not working for Shounen Jump and I'm not going to be anytime soon. crying Opinions? the way I was seeing it, with each person taking a week per page. You'd only end up doing about a page a month or less. *shrug* uhm, activity... I guess we really have enough b/g, character, setting, etc info to make the comic (or at least draw up the first few pages) so I figure we need to decide whose gonna draw out the first page.

a-drawer-4ever the way I was seeing it, with each person taking a week per page. You'd only end up doing about a page a month or less. *shrug* I SO fail to see the math in that. o__o; one page a week = 4 pages a month, not 1. o__o;;;; I'm so confused. And we've decided on a backgroudn story? xD; Could you enlighten me, please, in that case? It's still seems debated. but. Um. I'm not all that smart.

etou... I meant... like....
person1 - pg1 person2 - pg2 person3 - pg3 person2 - pg4
[so there's like... time between the time person one has to do the first page and the fourth, ... maybe?]
b/g story, I figured the manga was to be at least somewhat spontanious, but as far as b/g's went I thought there was supposed to be the part where Ian found abby, and then the explosion and, and, ... @w@; I mean, it'd take a few pages just to get past one scene, so we could plan the explosion-thing while people were drawing the Ian/abby scene, or... uhm... *shot*

Yeah, b/g's a little fuzzy here too. But in the true sence of the idea, we should just draw what we come up with at the spur of the moment after the first page is drawn by whoever wants to start it. Oh, and the link for my color scheme doesn't work. I had to take it down. If anyone wants to see it, just ask.

ZOMGackt... I hadn't read all of this??? ~dies~ x_X
Ah well.. .now that months have passed, I have clicked and read everything! >< Yes, I'm slow, please forgive me.
I really liked the random thing with the suspended city Devlin posted... oh... earlier. But... I thought about it for a while, and wondered if I could get it a little more tech-y rather than magic... -y. sweatdrop
So I thought... Generators.
The city could span directly across the canyon on said thick metal plate of whatever alloy you like ((given that expanse is possibly just large enough to be impressive, but not large enough to make that part of the city MASSIVE))... The "Four Points" could be some sort of sectioned off areas where there are main generators to keep the city aloft. This idea seemed to work for me ((I'm throwing it out there for you)).
But the city ought to, perhaps, have outskirts on either side of the canyon, so... a couple of suspension bridges beneath it for transportation in and out.... perhaps...?
And... ideas on random possible sources of energy:: solar, and water... along with whatever you love to add. ^^'
Anyway. I had thought about other stuff, but… My ideas have run from me. Here's a little sketch of what I thought of the city… sorta. ((I‘m really no good with sketchin‘ cities...))

Oh! And while I think on it... It could be perfect for labs and whatnot. They can be near-ish, without necessarily being in the city... like... in or around the cliffs or something. Far enough to be known, yet not close enough to bring question to the goings on of the place(s)

((I apologize for the triple post))
Also!
Um... A thought on starting the actual drawing bit... I thought a flashback scene on whatever happened to that lab where Ithellis was... er, created (?)... since there was a possible common link there to most of the characters in some chain or other... ((meaning, it could be remembered by several characters who know other characters))
Unless I read something wrong. <<

oooh~ heart
I love the city. maybe ... like the labs, could have be suspended on BOTTOM of the platform that held the city up, and then when they exploded people (characters) could have all felt an earthquake. D=
unless that's no good.
I wanna draw too. Though I don't know how busy everyone is with the start of school and all. >~<;;

The city looks cool. I like the whole "between canyons" thing. :3 what if it got bigger? what if it was suddenly dictated by someone who believed iin execution by shooting in a nonvital area so the person fell off a city "ridge"? O: what if the city was protected (the sides so that people wouldnt accidently fall off) by a forcefield or just.. glass? @w@ so many possibilities.
edit: I think a flashback would make a rather nice start, though at the same time, a bit of Ithellis would have to be shown. Unless of course, he is to be introduced later.
edit2: Drawer, if the labs at the bases blew up, the city would fall! D: xDDD;;;; Maybe the labs were located in the city- just hidden. As in, "lesser" or "lost" technology that somehow incorporated people teleporting to the actual labs that were inside the cliff sides. not only that, but the city is somehow supported between the two edges by... technology (superglue! *SHOT*). and when a lab blew up, people would think its an earthquake or rockslide cause the ground shook, and some of the canyon fell.

~agrees with Shiva's idea(s)~
Glass would have to be reinforced, and forcefields are rather iffy themselves... and probably need their own seperate source of energy... I like either idea meself. ~nod nod~
A bit of Ithellis could be shown, but depending on what IS shown, people may or may not know whether or not he is a "main character" per se... It could be that his former self, before being... changed,.. is shown a little bit. Wouldn't there be several people who were actually there when whatever happened happened? There could have been other people in the accident, but they may not have survived. People reading wouldn't necessarily know if he did or not until he was reintroduced as Ithellis later in the story... If you wanted to do that, I mean. ~suggesting~ ninja
As for edit2: .... I like it. ~nod nod~ Superglue! XDD

x,D oh, ok. That works too. (*was thinking like... the technology would've held the labs to the "bottom" of the city, but oh well*)
yes, SUPERGLUE! or DUCKTAPE!!!! 8D

I think we need to pick a scene (flashback, lab explosion, etc) to start with, and then by some means gather (prefferably through an IM system, if not then just in this thread) and piece together the entire scene before hand so that we all know exactly what will happen in the scene.
Then, once we have a written form. let "artist A" illustrate the first page to cover however much of the scene they see fit (ie; how many frames, etc) then "artist B" will just pick the next bit and cover however much they want/can cover, and so on and so forth.
That way seemed to make sense to me at least. o-o;
Instead of having a "loose" storyline that is supposed fit together when each artist has different ideas on what is supposed to happen next in the immediate story.

Another random thought!
Sorta... regarding artists... We still have no idea how to go about choosing the order of them, right? ((unless I missed that too...)) I was thinking... maybe for the first page there could be a contest!
So... the artists all make an opening scene, and then everyone votes on which they think is most suitable to begin the story with,.. and that could also decide the order of artists for the whole drawing thing... ><
Um... just a thought spurred on by the many contests I've seen my friends hold elsewhere in Gaia... >>
