for my negaverse quest, i am questing a sort of "key" themed weapon.
basically, in short, it looks like this:
stage one: a simple, old fashioned key, pinkish orange in hue
stage two: a sort of club-like key that now has a hand and is about the same shape and size of the sailor moon/chibimoon kaleidoscope
my question is whether or not stage two could also gain the ability to open simple doors (nothing high security, just things like house locks and gym lockers maybe) ? it wouldn't be abused through rp (ie, she sneaks into a bank and steals all the money or something) as it would mostly just be used to make getaways and what not.
is that possible, or is it a bit too overpowered?
we were trying to puzzle through this in the thread, and we decided to pose the question up to staff xD
Mouse: As far as Negaverse weapon upgrades go, this doesn't seem very practical? The weapon magic is supposed to make you more useful in combat in some way -- being able to open mundane locks isn't going to help you much in that regard. And in response to the making getaways part of it... if you're that desperate for an escape, you could always just teleport.
I'm aware you're trying to go with a theme with this idea, but I think it's fitting enough to have a weapon that looks like a key. As far as weapon effects goes, think more about how it would apply to a fight.
Natsube: Magically creating gates would be far far far in the Senshi territory; magic from Negaverse weapons are slight and usually are for offensive action rather than creating something that could not actually come from a weapon. A key themed senshi is fine; a negaverse one is too and a KeyBLADE is totally doable. (as long as it's not an ACTUAL keyblade and it's not ACTUALLY sora/whomever)

Past!Space Travel Question:
Would mass public transportation be viable for traveling between words? Like ginormous space liners, that pick people up at various stops kinda like trains and ferries on earth? Not so much run by any particular world, but a good way to get offworld for places without the technology/magic for long distance space travel, not to mention a good way to meet new and interesting people also traveling about space?
Mouse: Very possible, I think! Just bring a book and don't buy anything from the space-Wheel of Death Machines, since you'd be going on pretty long trips most of the time. It would vary depending on technology, but think like 1~2 days for stars that are closer together (e.g. in the same constellation / cluster and right next to each other); up to a few weeks or even months as they get farther apart.

Deep space question!
Since the next time you can travel is calculated from the date of your last completed RP, what happens if you're in a Deep Space RP that has stalled out for RL reasons? Can you just not travel until your partner comes back so you can finish it?
Mouse: The one you have with Pyxis doesn't go towards that count -- it's only for you traveling to your own star. So, you were good for two weeks after your first solo.
As far as abandoned regs go in general, however... please hold so we can discuss, and this post will be edited with further information.

Or is everyone not in a High School considered Elementary School territory?
Mouse: Knightside Elementary is a K-8 school, so it encompasses the "middle school" years.

What is a "???" RP?
Mouse: I guess you could say it's a Mystery RP until the label changes to [BAT], [REG], etc. The [???] is pretty much used to create suspense and inspire a bit of curiosity, whether it be for metaplot reasons or personal plot reasons.

Will graduation be happening in May/June this year again? [Is there going to be a sign-up for qualifying students for graduation, if so?]
Nessy: The 'sign-up' was originally to give new art to those players as a thank-you for playing along under the old administration. Obviously it never happened and since students tend to hop around a lot, you will have to purchase any new templates for any schools you happen to swap to after you get your initial civilian art.
However your character is welcome to graduate when they finish their high school career! All we ask is that if you are under 17/18 you do have rationale for why they are graduating early. Audrey did graduate a year early, but she filled her summers with school instead of friends for her freshman and sophomore years to balance that out!

When senshi start getting flashbacks when they go into space do past life feelings come along with them? Or are they just flashes of the past without the full intensity of what was being felt in the past?
Mouse: You can approach this in pretty much any way you like, just so long as your character isn't learning everything instantly.

Would it be okay to say that a senshi phone has something like... a special button that pretty much acts as a help/assistance signal to nearby senshi ? Or would they need to call or text another directly if they wanted backup ?
Nessy: We will be addressing this as we update the cell phones!
Also, I understand that they are still meant to be rare, but as we allowed to quest/enter corrupted senshi in contests ?
Nessy: You can quest a corrupt senshi if you would like, there are no rules against what you can and cannot quest for. However each contest has its own set of rules and if we decide to allow corrupt senshi in a particular contest it will say so in the rules.

Not sure if this was ever ask before, but if someone tried to break a starseed could it be broken. Like if someone tried to smash it. Not sure it is like crystal or more akin to the hardness of a diamond for instance.
Nessy: Negaverse officers regularly chew star seeds. They are incredibly fragile and if you threw one against the ground and stomped on it it would break. It's why you have to be VERY careful with them!
For past life: Everyone is making connections for their past lives. So say you did an rp on your planet with one of your past life aqquaintances, and you have a little flash of vision, would it be far fetched to see those senshi (with permission of course). You know like brief interactions and such, heck they probably wouldnt know what they were seeing anyway.
Nessy: This is entirely possible with permission from those players! I believe that several of the Pleaides remember interacting with each other in their flashbacks.

SO THE MOST RECENT SENSHI MEETING:
Is it like the others where if we couldn't make it/didn't post, we can still retroactively claim to have been there? Or if you didn't post in it, you seriously WERE NOT THERE and need to go do detective work to find out what happened?

For those of us who can't make posts every week, can we backdate old solos in the Space Forum? Or do we lose out on the opportunity? I've been saying Jada goes every chance she gets, but life gets busy. smile
Mouse: The time restriction is both OOC AND IC. If you want to make a backdated solo, that's fine, but you still have to wait the appropriate amount of time to post another.

I was wondering how/if it's possible to get civilian art of Gomeisa? - Posting this hear because I saw someone mention they didn't have civi art/didn't know how to go about getting.

If you're doing a space RP that doesn't end right when they come back from space, example: They come back on the 5th and decided to have a long chat about what they saw so the RP doesn't end until the 10th, would you be able to start counting down to their next space trip from the 5th, since that's the day they came back or would yo have to wait to start counting down until the end of the RP?
Nessy: The end of the RP~ If your character ICly powers up by the time you finish the RP however, you can take the shorter time period.
eta: Also, one more question, if an RP is between two Negas that are in a fight with NPC civs, does it count as a battle? since there's two powered ups doing some kind of fighting
Nessy: Sadly it does not as a battle is a fight between two powered individuals such as a youma or senshi. It is harder for Negaversers to get battles but they're scrappy!

What are the chances or getting a cat character in the shop? Is there any real viable possibility of getting on through the shop (via gold or rp contests) or is IRL commission the only way to go (I noticed a note in Natsu's commissions about them being untemplated)?
Nessy: There are templates for the cats so they should be available when we do eventually have gold customs available.
