"I think something just spooked Elon." Spirit said, calming the horse down and looking around for what might have been the concern.

Alex looked back down the road. "I don't see anything."

Spirit shook her head, "Neither do I." She paused, then sat straight again, "We'd better keep going." She flicked the reins again to get Elon going.

Alex nodded as he followed closely next to Spirit.

Spirit wondered what had spooked Elon. They horse was hardly ever spooked. She stared ahead of herself once more, her mind wondering aimlessly.

Alex kept his eyes out for any danger. He wondered what Spirit was thinking.

Spirit stopped Elon when she thought she heard something. The snapping of twigs was heard and she frowned, making a motion to Alex to stop as well as she mouthed that something was there.

Alex nodded as he got off of Glory and drew out his sword. He walked over to where she heard the noise.

Spirit got down from Elon, drawing the sword n her back from the sheath. She looked around, tensed and ready for an attack. With loud yells, a large group of 5 men jumped from the bushes, standing before Alex and Spirit.

Spirit smiled, nodding. One of the men lunged forward, reaching for her. She swung the sword, cutting him. The man yelled, lunging for her again.

Alex sliced the man in half in almost an instant. "Do we really need to demonstrate any further?" he asked, glaring at the rest of the men.

The rest of the men lunged forward. Spirit took on two of them. She cut the hand off one while she rammed her sword through the other's heart.

Alex finished the last one off. He watched the corpses. "Wow, we sure did made a mess."

Spirit put her sword away, "Well, we couldn't let them hurt us, right?" She said, still not liking having to kill them.
