Keeper of Somewhere
Girl's Name: Bejide, (Born during the rainy season)
Girl's Assignment Location: Water
Why does she want to be there?:
Bejide has always had a love for water. Everything that is flowing is life to her and the lioness loves the rivers, oceans, and especially the rains. Her mother always told her about the torrents of rain that fell during her birth and how it almost seemed like she was mewing to the rain when she first opened her tiny mouth. In a joking way she said that maybe her cub fell in love at first sight since then. Once Bejide heard her mother’s relatives talking about how the water god saved her mother from drowning once and that was why her first born,Bejide, was so dedicated to water – because that was her mother’s gift to the god.
Whatever the reason Bejide will always be the first out during a rainstorm, dancing and splashing with the drops as they hit the ground. Stories about the gods of the waters are often told by her as well. After all her mother’s family came from an ocean pride and the lioness was raised with quite an amount of knowledge concerning the gods of the waters – oceans especially.
When she heard about the keepers it was almost as if fate had led her here to honor the god of water and to keep the shrine for her. She didn’t even blink or hesitate as she called out her plea, “Water! I want to be the keeper for water, please!”
Now as a keeper Bejide is dedicated to taking care of the shrine. It is set in stone surrounded by a spring and even the base of the shrine’s sacred stones are lapped by the crystal waters. Stepping stones floating just above the spring’s waters led the way to the pure white altar in the center of the sacred stones. Water lilies float around the shrine along with other gifts and collections that Bejide has arranged by the water.

Boy's Name: Shokun (Gentlemen in Japanese)
Boy's Personality:
He is extermely devoted to the gods/ goddess. He has always worshiped them and he always will.
Shokun is a natural-born charmer; he is smooth-talking and charming around females, when around his friends he is a naive goofball. He can charm any girl with sweet talk; yet, he is always truthful in his compliments. To him, all girls are pretty.
He is sweet and romantic towards women he has a genuine care for females and not a cheap-put-on. To others he has a huge ego, immediately warming up to anyone who compliments him and breaking down whenever insulted in a comedic way. He feels as if he is a prince and ‘melts’ if anyone calls him a king.
He could never turn someone down for help, even when their intentions are not as good as he believes.
He is child-like, he enjoys playing “little-kid game” he was never allowed to play a cub because his father saw it a sign of weakness. He does have a serious side and usually comes out when someone close is in trouble. Shokun is always forgiving, being polite and kind to anyone no matter how mean or annoying they are.
When Greeting Guest to the shrine his more serious and ‘business-like’ personality comes out he is friendly and warm. He has a very high tolerance, and more than likely never get mad. He is fun-loving and gentle. He loves to make new friends and play with cubs.
He absolutely loves to put a smile on someone’s face even if they had a horrible day.

Boy's Name: Raiquen, (Night bird)
Boy's Personality:
Raiquen is a lion who takes his role as a guide very seriously. While he is a kind hearted soul some may have trouble finding that part of him due to his quiet ways. His strength when it comes to guiding lies in the night since he is very talented at reading the stars for directions, however, when it comes to the daytime he may get easily lost. (Especially when he gets distracted.) And no matter how many circles he may make with others Raiquen will never openly admit to being lost. All he needs is to find a familiar plant or rock and he is right back on track anyway.
Walking along Raiquen keeps his eyes open for any problems and will stop if something seems to be wrong. He is always the first to help others and in his free time he is either found napping or watching others from a distance. His mind is always working as he loves to learn new knowledge. Learning is another reason he became a guide because the tales of the travelers are always interesting to him.
At the shrine Raiquen will patiently wait for the visitors to pay their respects and once they are done at the shrine he will walk up himself and whisper a quiet prayer to the certain god before leaving with the group. He is extremely religious and believes in all the gods, especially the god of healing. And secretly if one can catch him or coax him into it Riaquen has a beautiful singing voice.

Guiding the Souls
Girl's Name: Pumzi, "breath"
Girl's Personality: In what she calls her other life, Pumzi was a warrior. Or perhaps royalty ... or both. She remembers power and ferocity running through her, she remembers the brave and fearless spirit that used to dwell in her. One day the young lioness made a terrible mistake, challenging the goddess of Crocodiles. She was dragged beneath the waters of the river and rolled, suffering terrible injuries and brain damage from lack of oxygen. The lioness left on the riverbank was broken and lost.
She was found by one of the Shrine Keepers and taken to their pride lands to recover. Slowly she recovered strength in both mind and body, although most of her memories are lost and her forelimbs are weak where they were shattered by the goddess. The lioness has slowly rebuilt her mind and intelligence although her thoughts still tend to scatter like birds. Pumzi will never recall the name she bore in her other life; instead she has chosen to name herself after the precious breath that her rescuers breathed back into her broken body.
Although she can often be found meditating at one or another of the shrines, Pumzi dedicates herself to no particular god or goddess. She simply waits, with both patience and longing, hoping that someday her spirit and memories may return to her. She serves the gods by aiding visitors to the Shrine Keepers, hoping to repay her debt to both the people that saved her and to the gods themselves. With visitors she is patient and kind, although they may sense a little strangeness in her, a little sadness.

Boy's Name: Ghislain (oath)
Boy's Personality:
A boisterous man who's big heart is only rivaled by his big and hardy laugh. He enjoys his work and is much more leisurely about it than most would think to be as a guide. He takes his time with his work, feeling that simply parading them quickly about the pride to pay their respects and back is no the end of his task. He believes that if he can show the outsider the beauty in which his pride can behold to them, that they may decide to stay there.
On top of his boisterous attitude, good humor and big heart, he is a trusted friend, who would pledge himself honestly and fully to an individual as quickly as he would to the gods themselves. Others are gifts that are to be cherished and enjoyed. His loyalty to an individual extends so far as to where he would put his own life on the line for them, issuing threats against their enemies with a pleasant smile on his face.
Ghislain's only vice is his insatiability for carnal pleasures. Taking on lovers as swiftly as he would devour the carcass of an animal. Moments in time is what his life consists of, and he wants as many faces in his moments as much as possible.

Why does she want to be there?:
All of Peridot's life she has been told what a beautiful gem she is. As someone who takes many things literally, she felt for the longest time she was truly a pretty gem and not just a lioness. When it came to thanking whoever had made her such a pretty gem, she did not turn to thank her mother, but instead decided to devote her life to the Goddess of Minerals as soon as she had learned of the Shrine-Keepers pride.
What better way to tell someone "thank you" than to devote your life to them?

Girl's Name: Milam
Girl's Assignment Location:Souls
Why does she want to be there?: Milam thinks it is the highest honor to keep the shrine of the godess of souls. Her mother died when she was very young and Milam always wondered if her mother was okay before she heard their was a godess of souls. She thought that is there was a goddess who looked after souls that she was certain that her mother was fine.
Milam makes sure that there is always food around the shrine, for the goddess, visitors and souls alike. She makes sure it provided daily and is always fresh. It is placed upon alter-like stone and all old food is taken to scavengers so nothing is waisted. She believes it will help everyone keep up their strenght in whatever journey they may have.

Shift the Earth
Lion's Name: Kadogo (means "extremely small")
Personality: Being the runt of the litter, Kadago has always had to work extremely hard to be just as good as any other lion. He was picked on as a cub and thankfully he had a strong family to support him. Kadago has always been a hard working, determined lion and even though as an adult, he's not that much smaller than average, he knows that he needs to make up for his size. Sometimes he can get a little insecure but he tries his best to stay confident about his abilities.
Hobbies: Surpringly, Kadogo is very artistic and since he was young, he's painted using berries and another assortment of things. He likes building structures out of stone and seeing what interesting shapes he can make. Art has always been his mode of expression in his worst of times and he likes it because anything can be art if you look at it the right way. He finds shifting stones can be mindless work so he likes that art helps him think and allows him to be creative.
