'I-I d-dunno what to say.' She stammered, rolling onto her side with her back to him and tucking her jacket around herself in spite of the heat. 'I just um, it's just um, things...um.'

Goosie paused, breathing in shakily again. 'I guess...I'm still scared, because of what happened...it was...it feels like a bad dream, but it was real...and I'm scared.'

'I-I guess--b-but last time...I was just walking...I-I didn't even sense anything...n-nothing DRK...and then there was a portal, and I d-dunno--and l-like...I-I wanna...um. I'm sorry. I-I just don't...wanna go back...b-but I miss f-feeling better than this.' The girl tried to explain in her broken stuttering, feeling foolish and sick.

'I-I can't h-hide forever.' Was all she said for a moment, curling up slightly. After another pause Goosie added, 'I have to see my family sometime too.'

Goosie hesitated before rolling over to face him and surreptitiously wiping at her eyes again. After shaking her head a bit, she said 'I-I don't know...I-I need more time.'

The blonde sat up, rubbing at her face with her coat's sleeve and then staring ahead as the breeze tickled her bangs. '...I guess you're right...'

After a moment longer in silence, Goosie clambered to her feet and looked around. She felt a bit bad to leave him so abruptly, but decided it wouldn't be for long. She had things her family should know, but she didn't have to stay if she didn't want to...maybe she would see Bristan. Her heart leapt a bit but she tried to ignore it, mostly for the pang of guilt and anxiety that followed suit.

'Um...I won't be super long. I'll call for you when I get back, okay? Using the cool mind reading thing.' She gave him a smile, adding 'Thanks for everything, Koth.'

With that, the girl turned and ran ahead a short ways, stopping and holding both hands out. She closed her eyes, overcome with a DRK purple aura as the NRGY pooled in front of her. Focusing hard, a portal gradually formed. It was taking all she had to hold it in place, though, and as soon as it became large enough for her to slip through she pushed her way inside, disappearing with the NRGY in a snap.

*Returning from the desert with his dead friend in his arms, he flapped his wings steadily just enough to get them across the chasm. After reaching the other side he got to walking slowly through the meadow, moving toward the big tree in its middle*

... A fitting a place as any.

*Koth awoke and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, taking another mournful look over the hill before taking to the skies*

The clone looked around, a gentle breeze catching her hair and sliding it back over her shoulders. It seemed nice. She looked to him, seeming uncertain of how to respond before deciding on 'I think...It's good for the purpose?'

These questions were perplexing. These questions were never ones she knew how to answer. They weren't 'What did you find out', or 'Where did you go', or 'Where is this'. While those questions were all easy to answer in their respective contexts, the ones her master was asking, they didn't seem to make sense in any.
