Matilda made a thoughtful face and scratched her chin. These homunculi died rather quickly, she didn't think his friend would be too happy when his pet evaporated. But than again...

The girl stooped and pulled a large pinkish blob from underneath the counter and handed it to Ulric.

"That one has lived for a month already. He shouldn't die so easily."

"Arent you attached to that one?" Dracula asked the girl. "I thought it was your pet. Giving it to him seems.. strange." Dracula added. "How do you make them?" He asked in after thought.

Ulf took it and held it in the palm of his hand, "I hope it harasses hitzig...i wish it would molest his hand at night. That would be the funniest thing ever. He screams like a girl sometimes."

Matilda's face remained unchanged as she sat down on the counter once more. Giving away basic homunculi wasn't that hard; she had too many as it was.

"They're like goldfish to me, truthfully. I have older ones crawling around somewhere, I'm sure..."

She said as she struggled to remember what exactly the blobs were like. The older ones tended to become obese.

"Making them isn't as complicated as creating finished ones. You just leave some important steps out of the process. "

Emi Hiramatsu
Doll Judgment

Emi paused for a momment after being caught by someone. He looked old enough to be a teacher but then again this school was pretty messed up compared to the ones back at home. She looked down at her feet, trying to quickly come up with something to say.
"Well...Um... No-I er...I'm fine," Emi stammered, eventrually able to get the words out of her mouth.

Alea's eyes widened as they approched the old building. The thrill that she got whenever she did this sort of thing washed over her like a tidal wave. She jumped in the air and started running toward the building.

"Come on Garen!" she yelled once she got to the door. Energy pulsed through her as she waited for the boy. She still hadn't quiet figured out what he was yet. And so she thought about while she waited.

User ImageȺndrew stepped along the front of the old house slowly. His mind was clouded with thoughts about his family as he clutched two books in his hands. He paused as a small breeze blew past his face, ruffling his hair in the slightest way. He took a large breath of air and sat down, opening one book as he did so. He glanced at the page and back up at a nearby tree, glad to have some quiet on such a busy island and school campus.

Garen pushed his way through the brush after the chipper elf-girl, mumbling various curses to himself. He had no idea the amount of energy Alea could put out and it was draining just to be around her. His previous desire to torment the elf with the haunted house was waning with each stick that snapped at his face. As he started to gain on the girl, a branch she'd moved aside for herself came flying back toward his head. The other ones he'd ducked or avoided but this time he was furious enough to let it sail right at him. At the last moment he parted his lips and bit down on the bark, catching the limb in his fangs and crushing it. The severed section fell to the forest floor and he spit out the bit left in his mouth. Freakin' elves... He trudged onward as Lea called out his name.

"I'm freakin' comin, alright?" he shouted back to her, making his way into the clearing. Before him the house loomed and the brunette was sprinting up the steps. The fire then came back to his eyes as his moment of triumph neared. Once in the house he could deploy all his tricks until he had the elf running for her life. Except... as he approached the house, he noticed another figure who had taken refuge in the forest. Garen stopped short of the stairs and looked at the liver-haired youth. "Who the heck are you?" Blunt, as always.

User ImageȺndrew looked up quickly. How many people would come here? To this run down building surrounded and surprisingly stuffy forest. He was forced to hold back a sigh, So much for quiet... He studied the arrival for a moment before answering,"Uh...I'm Andrew. And you are?" He closed his book and set it aside as he waited for an awkward moment for a response.

The elf sat down on the porch stairs and waited for the boy. When he finally got to the house he look strait behind her. A expresion of confusion reached her face as she looked behind her to see what he was talking about. Sure enough there was a boy on the porch as well. He had a book in his hand and didn't seem to even notice that Alea was there at first.

"I'm Alea." she replied to his question as she stood up and dusted off her pants. She knew the question wasn't directed to her but she answered it anyways, if for any reason just to show that she was there. "I'm going to head inside." she said toward Garen. A small smile came onto her face as she turned around and headed into the house. She had relaxed considerably.

Garen cocked his head back and looked down his nose at the boy, scoffing his boot against the dirt. "You can call me Garen." The dragon's fiery red eyes smoldered at the thought that this interloper might ruin his plans. The boy crossed his arms over his chest as he tilted his head forward again following a long pause. While under other circumstances he might have asked Andrew what his purpose at the old house was, he had an elf to attend to. After a moment of contemplation, Garen dropped his arms to his sides and made his was up the stairs after Alea. He didn't spare the boy another thought as he pushed open the creaky door and disappeared inside.

The interior was much like the shell, decrepit and dirty. There were holes in the walls and the carpet had nearly been worn away in many places. The furniture told a bit more of a sinister tale; the wooden backing of a couch off to his left had claw and bite marks and an Elizabethan chair had been obviously smashed. After his initial observation, Garen glanced around the sun-lit home for Alea.

By now Alea had made her way to the attic. She sat in a large round window that overlooked the forest. She could hear the door creak open and closed and then foots steps on the wood floors undernieth her. "I'm up here!" she shouted to Garen. She then looked back over to the forest. She had calmed down considerably, and was now feeling as peaceful as ever.

Garen's ear twitched at the sound of the girl's call. He hated that his ears did that, it was decidedly uncool by his dragon-standards. Having surveyed the relative destruction of the interior, the boy turned from the wreckage and trekked upstairs. The upper floor wasn't any more inviting than the previous one. The floral wallpaper had been scratched away and was peeling from water damage. The doors were all gone too. Searching for Alea, the dragon peered into one of the rooms to find an old dust-covered bed. Curious, he plodded inside and glanced at what must have once been a little girl's room. Though decaying from disuse, Garen could still make out the flecks of purple paint and there were marker-drawings interspersed along the bottom two feet of wall around the room. The boy's initial mischievous attitude was almost instantly worn away by the somber view. He ran a slow hand through his fiery locks before shoving it and its counterpart in his pockets.

The dragon withdrew from the room and looked about again. There were no obvious signs of the elf anywhere. He was about to check the last room when he saw the square opening in the ceiling. Ah, attic. Garen crouched down for a split second before vaulting himself through the portal and landing with his feet on either side of the hole. He immediately spotted Alea before the circular glass, sitting cross-legged and staring out at the woods. Garen would have smirked but the weight of the house's past hung heavy on his shoulders for reasons he couldn't even fathom. He stepped up next to the elf and joined her in her gazing. With a tone more subdued than before, he directed a question to her. "What do you think happened here?"

The elf could hear creaking around the house as Garen moved around. When he finally did find her though, she didn't move an inch and instead continued to look out the window. She listned as he began to walk toward her and eventually was able to see his refelection in the window.

"I would say fire except for the fact that nothing is really scorched. So that means abandonment."
she replied calmly. "When a family abandons a house it could mean a variaty of thing. Can't pay the bills, bad memories, being chased out of the house." she added.
