Everyone has Cloud.
My auxilary favorites.
Tifa is the greatest magic user, and works wonderfly as a designated healer/ spell caster. I almost always have her in the party. Her Limit break attack can really suck sometimes. gonk
Cid is a powerful second attacker, and his limit break attacks are solid.
RedXIII is a powerful attacker as well as magic user and his limit break attacks provide a big bonus.
Yuffie is really strong and fast, good with magic, and her limit breaks are second only to Clouds.
Barret is a solid attacker with high defense, and his limit break attacks do solid damage, but he is awful for spell casting.
I don't use too often.
Vincent is cool, but his limit break attacks can back fire if the other members die.
Cait Sith sucks, I hate him, he's weak, his limit break is worthless and wastes your items. Suposed to be a spell user, but Tifa's way better.
Aeris- actually a good character, but she has to go and die on you, so leveling her up is worthless. gonk

i would choose either Cloud, Nanaki and Vincent for defense or Cloud, Tifa, and Cid for ofense. i like to keep my team balanced

My main parties normally consist of Cloud Yuffie and Cid. But recently I've been switching them up alot trying to keep them all around the same levels <3

I always include Nanaki and Aeris...until I can't use her anymore. I also often use Tifa, Vincent, and Yuffie.

I have cloud and Nanaki (red whatever number)
Then I start out with Aeris and change to Tiffa when she dies -sob-

Blackkitty245 My main party is Cloud, Vincent, and Tifa. I never used Aeris unless I HAD to. I never really needed her. hey we share the same party

I have beaten the game with every character and found out that the best combo is
Cloud
Red
and Yuffie (I know she's a b***h, but shes good)
They all have really high attack and powerful final weapons . Cid is good too, but u just get him so damn late that its annoying training him up to get his good limits.
