M o u r n ii n g W o o d @Kumo: Raiton [Lightning] is extremely concentrated heat so much that it becomes plasma, and that means that if fire can dry out blood then logically raiton would have the same effect if not more so. Lightning is pure energy... the only reason it has any heat is because the energy outside the bolt, and the energy that comes off of it is coverted to heat. If it were plasma, then it would have an actual feel, and be different than it is... Plasma is comparable to a liquid gas substance... Blood has an abundance of plasma. so plasma is like... I guess you'd call it a blood mist. Heat is a type of energy, but is not the only kind. The bolts are actually made up of Electrical energy, which I honestly think is what runs everything, seeing as you can stimulate a person's brain to do anything with just ten volts in specific areas of the brain. { It is true. if the nerves have yet to die on something try this, if you do it right, you could make it move around, or even make noise. } Anyways, I'm just saying that Raiton wouldn't dry it out... It doesn't dry out water, so why would it dry out blood?

I'm just saying the heat off of it would dry up blood. Blood and water are very very different. O:

Actually, Raiton would Dry it out.
Lightning is x10 hotter than the surface of the sun. If aimed at blood directly it would dry it out within an instant. Now, if you wish to debate this fact then you should understand the concept of logic/the scientific community. smile
Now, Blood also contains incredible amounts of iron within it therefore making it a conductor as well. Lightning + Iron = Moving lightning, so your blood would be x2 weaker to lightning than heat if not 1.5x more than heat.
and btw, before you make this argument. The reason people don't dry up after being hit by lightning is because their skeletal structure provides the train for the lightning and sends it instantly into the ground. It leaves little-to-no time for it to settle within the blood stream and travel.

I really don't care about the whole hotter than the sun thing. Getting close to the sun incinerates you, so something hotter than that would do the same. there is your Logic. Lightning BOLTS themselves are PURE UNRESTRICTED ENERGY. The fact that heat is produced is because the molecules around the bolt become filled with so much energy that they move faster, to the point where they become super heated. If you knew anything about how heat owrks it is how quickly particles in a substanc move. Thus requiring PURE ENERGY to be able to move. The ENERGY is then converted to heat, this is known as ENERGY CONVERSION. when a type of energy { in this case PURE ENERGY } fuels/turns into another type of energy { HEAT ENERGY }. The sun gains energy from COMBUSTION of small particles of random gases, mostly hydrogen. NOW, this means that while comsustion does produce heat, this heat is transverted from the pure energy of the spliting of atoms in the star { Which we call the sun. } This means that again it goes from PURE ENERGY to HEAT ENERGY. There is your science. When Lightning hits water what happens? The Water could possibly boil, or even some of it convert to steam, yes I get that. Some of the blood would dry up. HOWEVER Because you are diluting it with water for a greater amount, the Blood itself wouldn't evaporate, the water within would. Granted if you are only using blood, I doubt that there would be enough to even require someone to hit it with a Raiton jutsu. Unless you randomly killed a Blue whale and drag it around with you everywhere. { I'll finish this later, my dad is whining about something. }
