Aki Yan ~
As Aki slowly stood up after what Yasashii had said, holding his sword case tightly in his right hand, his teeth grit tightly together, hidden under his lips of course, as he noticed that the girl, while hesitant as usual, seemed to have at least been affected on some levels by the man's words. She didn't trust him anymore, though, she didn't seem to trust the other man either. By the time he had stood up all the way, and turned around to face Yasashii, his countenance was schooled back into his usual casual appearance, with a hint of curiosity and confusion. Yasashii's face said he wasn't buying it, but the girl, she was malleable. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" he queried, truly examining Yasashii's face. No, he didn't recognize this man at all. Who could he be? Suddenly, he clutched his sword case tightly to his chest with both arms, taking a step backwards. That's it, he was after the sword! He knew who he was because he wanted his sword, right? His eyes were locked right onto it after all.
~ Hm, running multiple characters in a single scene, with both against each other, and both trying to manipulate the reactions of the other character in their own ways, is very hard. This post is all Aki, so, I use his format! Next post will probably be both of them, but the content relies entirely on Naiten's reaction here, as this really only covers a few seconds, and mostly the few during her previous reaction at that. So, you post again, then I shall post. I'm also going to PM Silence and see if she's still interested in this/her character.

Naiten was confused and her brain ran multiple scenarios in an attempt to understand what was happening with very little actual information. Aki, if he really was as strong as the butler's actions were suggesting, seemed to prefer to continue the act of weakness. Furthermore, he had reverted to treasuring the sword, .
Nai's thoughts than shifted to supporting the butler.
Naiten, while she did have some mastery over her emotions, had nothing like the mastery that Aki and the stranger had so while she seemed calm at a glance, her constantly shifting eyes gave away her quiet confusion. She couldn't even decide whether she should try and escape or if she should stay. If Aki was on her side, then she needed to stay. If Aki wasn't on her side, then she needed to leave. Although, there was one thing that was certain: there was a very high chance of some sort of action happening very soon and the gem would likely be part of it. That left one conclusion, the girl would need to somehow secure the position of the gem. With the her thumb nail, Nai cut the index finger of the hand that was connected to the arm holding the unconscious Suki up. The angle that both Aki and the mysterious man were at combined with the mass of Suki would block Naiten's moving hand as she slipped it underneath her teammates clothes and began drawing a Storage Seal on Suki's skin with her (Nai's) own blood.
As her hand worked, the genin remained silent as was her habit. She could think of nothing necessary to say and, as always, she abhorred attracting attention. Although, despite her efforts to remain as much of a wallflower as possible, she couldn't help but get the distinct feeling that at least one person was focusing heavily on her reactions. The girl raised her free hand slowly, used it to brush some of her long hair behind her ears, and then put it down again. However, rather than using it to pull down on Suki's arm as she had been before, the girl placed her hand on her hip pouch as if in preparation. The position wasn't only for preparation. The girl also hoped that it would be a suitable distraction from the hand drawing the seal. The fact that the hand she was moving around so freely also happened to be the one holding the gem would undoubtedly help to attract attention to it rather than the hand that was working.
Storage]http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=3&t=20515671#302484369]Storage Seal Basic Description: The most basic of all storage seals, this is the one you will find in most scrolls. Only capable of holding small objects, and only one at a time, it is still highly useful, as a single scroll can hold twenty of them. Activation Cost: 2 Weakness: This seal cares not who tries to access it, and will release whatever it holds if activated, no matter who activates it. As with most seals, if the diagram is damaged it will become useless, and the contents lost forever to the void.
(OOC: I... hope that post made sense sweatdrop . Sorry for the lack of reaction, it's a combination of Naiten's personality, which is really quite dull, and mine, which is extremely hesitant no matter how hard I try to correct it gonk .)

Nomiya YasashiiKariko | Alcohol | BartenderSupport { Information } Contact~ Yasashii frowned, taking a step forward to match Aki's step back. So that was the game now huh? Aki's actions had apparently had at least a portion of his desire effect. The girl wasn't turning towards his side, but she hadn't fled as Yasashii wanted yet either. Now, Aki's assumption that Yasashii's eyes were locked on his sword were true. His possible desire to take it was slightly less true, but still there, for his own reasons. However, Yasashii had long since become a master of seeing things without looking at them. It was the most valuable trait in his profession. To see everything happening in the corners of your eyes, to see through the very sounds picked up by one's ears, and to move your pupils by the slightest fraction to pick up things that couldn't have been otherwise, and in such a way that nobody would notice. It was through those skills that he observed the girl's actions while still keeping most of his attention trained on the man before him, and it was through that, that he could see what the girl was doing. He didn't outright see her draw the seal, or cut her finger, but the slight motions of her arm were obvious enough to him. It probably would have been unnoticed even still, if he didn't recognize what the motions represented. Being arguably the best sealing specialist alive came with it's perks, one of which being the ability to recognize when someone was drawing a seal. What she planned to do with it was easy enough to guess too. Hide the gem, so nobody could steal it. Yasashii couldn't help the slight smirk and knowing look that grew in his eyes as he recognized the girl's tactic, but covered them immediately by directing that towards Aki himself. So the girl hadn't left yet, perhaps a bit more intimidating tactic was in order. "No, you wouldn't recognize me." he replied to Aki's question. "But I know all about you. Aki Yan, named for his grandfather, a great samurai who was said to fight like a young man even when he was near death. The tenth anniversary of his death has arrived, and you wish to return his sword to his grave, so you need the assistance of a genin team. A simple C ranked mission." As he spoke, Yasashii slowly walked forward until he was just over five feet away from the man. Just out of the reach of his sword if he were to draw it. But the speech wasn't for Aki, despite the way he was staring wide eyed at Yasashii. It was for the girl, who if she thought back to her briefing on the mission, would recognize it as being almost word for word the way Aki had described the mission himself. "It's always the same story isn't it? The same mission has appeared in many villages, yet is always forgotten later. The mission is always the same, the destination, and even the result. The client disappears, and the genin are found dried up and empty, dead." Yasashii fell silent after that, his eyes watching both Aki and the genin closely to see their reactions. Aki was tense, his grip on the sword had turned his fingers white, and his anger was no longer so well hidden, though whether it was a confirmation of truth, or pure wrath at being slandered could not be told at a glance. How would the girl now react? Would she flee as desired, or defend her client despite her doubts? ~ [Chakra: 117/125]Hehehe, mind games.

Naiten finished the seal and she shrugged as if to maintain a better grip on Suki. The movement masked her next actions, two simple flicks of the wrist. With a flick of the wrist that was holding the stone behind her back, the girl tossed it to the hand that had just finished writing the seal. The catch and sealing of the stone used another flick of the wrist. What the girl had just done could have probably been easily predicted by anyone who knew that she had had just drawn a seal, but at the very least the movements couldn't have been seen as suspicious. Both hands and most of the lower arm were hidden from anyone that could be watching. At least, assuming that there was no one watching Naiten's back.
While the movements of her actions were calm, the kunoichi found it harder and harder to maintain her mask. Flashes of emotions such as surprise, doubt, incredulity, fear, and such appeared frequently between attempts to retain a calm expression. Word for word, the details of the mission were repeated by the stranger, who shouldn't have known about the details. Then, more information was added, but this was information Naiten didn't know, information that definitely spelled trouble for her if they were true. It was easy to piece together how the man came to know both pieces of information. However, at the same time, there was still the possibility that perhaps he could read minds and so made up a story for the second part in order to get Aki alone and defenseless. Once more, the same denial cropped up. Aki was practically alone and defenseless already. There wasn't much Nai would be able to do to stop this man. The only reason why he would want to try and deter her was if he didn't want to hurt a girl or some other silly reason. Although, there was also the other, unlikely but slightly more likely, chance that this man wanted to fight Aki, but he feared Aki's strength to the point that he didn't want to risk the chance of a genin tipping the fight in Aki's favor.
A glance at Aki's face told the girl that her client was angry, .
The girl took a step back. One step wasn't a lot physically, it would basically take just as much time to rush over to her client from her new position as from her old position. However, mentally, it was quite significant in this case. A step back showed doubt and the fact that she was about to leave the scene, that she was going to trust the mysterious butler-shinobi. At least, that's what the girl figured it meant. As she stepped back, she kept her eyes on both adult males. She was just a genin and she didn't have the super-senses of either of the two talkers, but that didn't mean that she didn't know simple stuff like using her peripheral vision to keep two subjects in her sight.
(OOC: Oh my god, so tiring to write these posts gonk . But at the same time, I would be lying if I didn't say that it wasn't interesting and entertaining whee .
By the way, is Silent going to post or?...)

Aki Yan
~
Naiten stepped back. It was only a single step, but it was enough for both opposing men. She had chosen her side, whether she knew it or not. In a motion too fast and smooth for the genin to even comprehend having begun until it was over, Aki's sword case was on the ground, and a gleaming back sword rested in his right hand. The blade seemed to drip with some unknown liquid, but that was only an illusion created by the sun's reflection off of the steel. In the hilt rested a murky red gem, every bit as brilliant as the one the bandit had dropped, yet different. Where the ruby had been warm, as if lit by an inner fire, this was dark and cruel, a blood gem.
Before either Naiten or Yasashii could react, the dark blade was spun in Aki's fingers, and plunged straight downwards, where it stabbed into the chest of the fallen chuunin leader of the team. Before their very eyes, the color first drained from the woman's body, her skin turning pure white as the blood was removed. The gem on Aki's blade shone brightly as her body shriveled, turning gray as it wrapped in upon itself, drying into an empty husk, just as Yasashii had described.
Ripping his blade out of what remained of the corpse, Aki suddenly leapt backwards, putting a few yards between himself and the other man, and Naiten right in the middle. Raising the dark blade, he held it up before him, crossing his face in a mocking defensive stance, and he smiled.
And the deed was done in a matter of seconds, before anyone could have moved to stop him.
~
{ And it begins! Now, how shall Naiten react to this?
As for Silence, she hasn't responded to my PM yet at all, so I'm going to operate under the assumption for now that she's not interested, or even has left Gaia altogether, since it's still sitting in my outbox. }

Naiten's step was meant to test the waters, to see which side was telling the truth, and she had gotten her answer. The girl had seen her entire clan massacred and while the sight did shock her, the shock was more because of the action's uniqueness than fear in Naiten. There was no blood to remind her of the massacre, the sword had drained all of it. All that happened was that the squad leader had died. Of course, Naiten was somewhat scared. Who wouldn't be when confronted with an enemy who was obviously stronger and had strange powers? Only a fool, that's who. Still, the fear was only because the girl liked living and didn't want to die. It wasn't exaggerated to something greater as it would be in plenty of other people.
Naiten took several more steps backwards, joining up with Hiniko who happened to conveniently be in the way of her backing up. She now knew exactly what she had to do, run for her life. However, running for her life wasn't an option while she was holding Suki up; if possible, Naiten didn't want to just leave her teammate undefended and unconscious.
(OOC: Well, since Silence hasn't responded, then will it be alright for me to rp basic functions with her rpc? I really just need someone to carry Suki because my rpc isn't going to really be able to handle running while carrying someone sweatdrop .)

Yasashii ran forward, trying to stop the massacre that had begun. The woman at Aki's feet had been an oversight, and he cursed himself for it. But then, he hadn't known until now just how the man had done his killing, or even whether it was truly him that did it. But even as he charged, a sick feeling settled in his stomach. He was too slow. Far too slow. Faster than his body, his eyes tracked Aki's every movement. The rippling of his muscles as he turned, the effortless way he moved, almost as if merely strolling down the road. In the blink of an eye he was in front of the girls again, as if he had always been there. There was no way Yasashii could reach them in time, and he was forced to merely watch. A flick of the wrist and the sword was aimed at the girls, a thrust, and it was buried in the unconscious one's chest. The draining began again. Slower this time. Slow enough to make it torturous for those around as the body shriveled in upon itself, knowing they couldn't stop it, couldn't save her.
Aki's gaze turned to Naiten.
~
Hm, confusing though it may be, running two characters gives me some interesting methods. This post of Aki's actions was written from Yasashii's perspective.
Now that the inactives are dead (Excluding Silence, but unless she returns my PM I'm not going to take that step with her RPC.), the real fun begins. Can Naiten escape the ungodly fast Aki? Can Yasashii stop him? How exactly is he doing all this? Some of these questions will be answered soon!
Others, I'll probably answer later, if I decide to write Aki a profile as I have been prone to do. This whole event was supposed to start when you got to the Caverns of Time, where he would do a nice little monologue and explain everything, but now he's desperate and just wants to get done with it before you can escape, so he has no time to monologue.
You can go ahead and toss in bits about Silence's character running and such if you want. If you're brave enough, you could even stick around for the fight and learn a bit more about Aki's powers too. If not enough about him is revealed here I'm not going to explain it, and save it for a later encounter instead.

Naiten immediately released Suki. The seal wouldn't be damaged and there was no way for Aki to have known that she had sealed the ruby into Suki, right? Regardless, right now, her main priority was to get away from this ungodly fast human. The short rest had helped Nai restore some of her chakra, but not enough. Besides, how much help would a bit more chakra be if all of her jutsus were support jutsus?
As Aki slowly drained the red-haired genin, Naiten knew that it was too late to save her. As a result, she took the time to put as much distance between herself and wielder of the blood-sucking sword, never daring to turn her back on him. Hiniko did so as well, but unlike Naiten, she seemed unwilling to leave. the girl thought timidly, wanting to just run away from this danger but unwilling to leave her teammate behind. Although, really, Hiniko wasn't the only thing pulling at Naiten to stay; there was also the ruby in the likely intact seal. If possible, she would want to bring it back to Konoha.
(OOC: Wait.... So you were planning on this kind of attack... from the very beginning gonk ?
Mrnyu.... My curiosity is piqued... but I don't want my rpc to die.... Blah, I'll stay. If Naiten dies, she dies. If she doesn't, then I'm a very lucky rper. Besides, not my first time being threatened as a genin by an S-rank character....)

Hiniko watched the whole scene in silence. She was amazed at what she had seen. such ruthless killing and it seemed all so pointless. She didn't understand why all of this was going on. She could feel her heart growing colder a sshe watched the ruthless people. The man they were fighting had been killed and in shock Hiniko could only stare. She didn't think a sight like that would ever leave her mind. She listened to the conversation slowly. She ran through what they were saying in her head, She tensed her hands and refused to move. Aki turned and watching him her eyes grew cold with deceit and hatred. she had been betrayed too much in her life for this now. The only movement Hiniko made was to step semi in front of Naiten. It was obvious she hadn't wanted to do this, let alone be here. Death or not, Hiniko would try to protect her. Again all of this was thought of in secods. she was tence and ready to strike. Nomiya Yasashii Otogakure | Crystal | Jounin Bomber { Sealing } Combo Kariko | Alcohol | Bartender Support { Information } Contact ~
No. No no no. Yasashii's teeth ground together even as he still moved forward. He had failed, and another of the girls was dead. And now, the demon of a man had his sights on the other two. he was mocking him, showing him that he could never hope to stop him. It made him mad, no, furious. For the first time in years he was truly angry, angry at the feeling of helplessness that he had not felt since his homeland was destroyed. And then it was gone. He was not helpless, it had been years since he could be considered anything like hopeless.
Even as he ran, Yasashii's eyes began to shine a bright white, and what could only be considered liquid lightning trailed out of them and behind him, following him as he ran. Then it began to run off of his fingers too, and his feet, the lightning stretching across his entire body. As he underwent the transformation, his feet ceased to touch the ground, his arms melded with his sides, he became a bolt of lightning, and then he was gone.
A crack of thunder resounded over the clearing, and Yasashii was back, standing on the opposite side of Aki as before, in front of him rather than at his back, liquid lightning still running off his hands. Aki was frozen in place, tendrils of lightning running up and down his own body, paralyzing him. Yasashii reached out, long arms grabbing Aki by the shoulders, and lightning began to fly about once more, circling the two until they were concealed from sight within a glowing ball of electricity. Another crack of thunder, and it was gone, along with both men, leaving behind only charged air and a feeling of emptiness where they had stood.
~ [Chakra: 109/125]Yaaaaay battle over! Or at least the part we/you have to worry about is. Yasashii has removed Aki from the area, gone to the RP Void to battle him one on one without endangering the genin. You're free to head home now. Hopefully next time we come up with a mission it won't take nine months to finally end it. I am sincerely sorry for the time wasted on this mission. As consolation, please accept an S ranked mission credit for "Surviving against a legendary foe", redeemable at your local kage's office. Anyways, the two jutsu Yasashii used in this post both exist, I just took artistic license with them. Probably broke a few rules too, but hey.

Naiten watched the short struggle and disappearance warily and fearfully, but without much other emotions. When the glowing ball of electricity faded, the girl could see neither of the men. She didn't know where they were, but she was sure that they weren't anywhere near. Neither did she really care for their location now that they had nothing to do with her. Tentatively, the girl stepped out from behind Hiniko and up to the drained Suki. She reached out to her dead teammate and touched the seal that she had placed to hide the ruby. A surge of chakra through the seal, and it opened, allowing the strange, ruby-like stone to appear in Naiten's hand. The girl stood up with the stone and walked back to Hiniko. As her hands firmly grasped the warm gem, the girl quietly looked up at the other older girl and the only other survivor. She didn't say anything, but it was somewhat obvious that she was waiting for Hiniko to determine their next actions.

Hiniko watched with surprise at the struggle between the two men. She hadn't expected it to end this way, and the fact that it had left her somewhat empty. She wasn't sure how to take everything. Naiten stepped out from behind her to collect some sort of gem. It was now just the two of them. The young girl looked up at Hiniko. So was she supposed to lead now? Hiniko took a deep breath and made a shadow clone. The clone stepped over to stand beside the body naiten had just walked away from.
"Let's go back to the village, there is nothing we can do here, my clone will stay with the body until we can send for someone. Is that alright?" She didn't much think the girl would have an issue with it.

Naiten nodded her head silently. She then waited for Hiniko to lead the way. Obviously, she was strictly just a follower. Actually, now that she had gotten an answer for their next actions, the girl's head was humbly lowered as it usually was. Her only other movement was to store the gem in her pouch. She couldn't do anything with it, it seemed, but that didn't mean it didn't have its uses.

Hiniko sighed tiredly. She was so done with this. This place, she thought about some old friends of hers, and she clenched her fists to lead Naiten back to the village. The girl was obviously a follower. Not that Hiniko minded. She hadn't always been the kind to take orders, and being the sort of leader now, was no problem for her. "When we get back to the village we will report to the kages office. Or at least I will, i think it best if you try to get some rest." She said to the girl before she fell silent again. Naiten quietly nodded her head again and followed after Hiniko. Her steps were soft as she walked behind the older and bigger genin. The trees swayed softly in a slight breeze. If it weren't for a few charred pieces of ground and the presence of several bodies, it wouldn't have seemed like there was a fight at all. Naiten recognized this, but didn't really think much of it.
