After that initial encounter, the two dragonets parted way with relatively little trouble and the green prowled towards the boys, her gait more measured then uncertain. Just like the brown before her, she was taking the measure of each of the boys her gaze passed over, leaving a distinct impression of 'ready to pounce' rather then 'looking for Hers'. It was unsettling but it was only a feeling - she wasn't growling, had no teeth bared, just that uncanny prowl.
And the blue... the blue trotted over to the girls and nosed a few of the younger ones, even pushing one poor girl over in his enthusiasm. Her cry of surprise startled him and he jumped back, keening. Did His see that? He hadn't meant to!
His gaze shifted away from the girl he'd knocked over then and played over the others... His was here somewhere....

Optheli spots the woman left in the stands when the other girl went to join the queen on the sands. Carefully she moves along the rail, closer to her. "Hullo?" Maybe they wouldn't mind if she stood here too.

His nerves started to go on edge as the green stared at all of the boys. Thanks to his upbringing with beast, he was able to stand still.
He heard a girl cry out and looked over there, thinking that the blue hurt one, but she just got knocked down. The blue looked as surprised as the girl did. Maybe he was just a little too enthusiastic on finding His?

Nasuymi shook her head. After two little ones breaking out their shells and fighting like a pair of kids, they seemed to separate and go to look for theirs. Was she the only one amused that the blues were heading for the girls while the greens were steadily going to the boys? Arms crossed, she almost wanted to scold the blue about playing nicely but held her tongue.
Didn't want to startle the little fellow between after all.
Nudging at La, she commented. "Don't seem li' that Benden mess has hurt OUR Hatching, eh? All the dragginz findin' their own no problem. Look these lil two messin' 'round. Wonder which way they'll go?"
A smile played on her lips, watching and waiting to see what would happen next.

Liyar watched as the green made her snipping way towards the boys, the blue towards the girl. What a pair! She couldn't help but wonder about the blue that approached them- would this be her dragon? Liyar was quick to get out of the way, even just to allow the Blue past her. If she wasn't the blues bonded, she certainly didn't want to be in his way!

Ofelia turned and looked at a timid figure approaching to sit next to her,a small waif of a girl she'd never seen before (which by now didn't surprise her at all). She gave a friendly (if not silent) smile and a nod of her head that everything was alright, leaving it off to turn her head back to the sands. So much was happening so quickly that she really did feel like she needed to pay attention unless she wanted to completely forget the very first (and maybe only) hatching she'd ever see in her life. It was likely that once this was all over, she'd go back to the Hall with her brother and Walk the Tables.
Weyr life was fun, but Ofelia was a tanner first and foremost.
She managed to look just in time to watch the blue go after the girls, and she frowned for a moment before remembering that Gabriel had Impressed (she'd seen it happen, it was amazing) so there was no fear of that little girl getting hurt.

Akaya was relieved when the predatory green peeled off towards the boys, though perhaps it was a relief misplaced--she hadn't bowled over a candidate like the blue had, though at least the blue seemed apologetic. It did seem amusing that the greens were going for boys and the blues for girls, but such was the mind of dragons. Besides, she thought to herself with a grin, if she was to Impress, a dragon near the shade of Harper blue wouldn't be a bad match!

The blue pushed his way through the anxious girls - several dragons had hatched and none, including the gold, had come their way, surely he'd be one! They weren't His, not at all..... not that one, or that one... or that one. Or that one. His gaze flicked through them, seemed to see right into the truth of them, and then it froze. That.... he padded closer, head tilting to the side, that... he moved closer. Yes! Yes it was! There was His! He broke into a haphazard run then as he fluttered his brilliant wings and tackled Nasuyumi. Nasuymimine Your Daroth found you! What are you talking about? I am hungry!

Gabriel had been beyond happy for her friend when she had witnessed the green impress to him. She grinned widely at him and gave her own thumbs up, although she couldn't quite make out what he had said her name was. Still, there would be plenty of time later to ask him about it. (And in all honesty it seemed quite fitting that he had gotten a green given his constant flirting. Looked like it was strike one against him on their prior bet of who got what.)
And then almost all at once three dragons hatched from their eggs: a blue, a brown, and a gold. It was quite the entrance rally, although the moment of awe was quickly dashed to bits as the blue began making quite the fuss. Just what is he keening on about so insistently? the teen wondered to herself before noticing that he seemed to be fussing over his own goo. He doesn't like the stickiness? Haha, well, I can't say I really blame him. That didn't make the sight any less humorous, although the gold's responding roar clearly indicated that she thought otherwise.
She watched with interest and anticipation as the male first searched the boys before coming over to the girls. Despite his silly entrance, Gabriel couldn't help but admire how handsome the blue was. His is going to be quite lucky. Although they might have their hands a bit full in getting him cleaned off.
Lo behold Gabriel received quite the shock when the young blue suddenly walked into her and proceeded to smear the dirt and goo aaaaaaall over her.
Mine!! Miiine!! Your Lifth is so dirty! And hungry! I want food and a bath. But bath first!
Gabriel's mind went momentarily blank in shock. She wasn't sure whether to laugh, or cry, or scream in joy, or be just plain grossed out by the mess that she was now unwittingly a part of. In the end she settled for a small laugh, patting her blue on the head while grinning like a fool. "I was wondering when you would finally come along, Lifth. Come on, let's go get you fattened up a bit."
No, bath first, he insisted stubbornly, forelimbs still pressed up against her. You are all dirty now too. Clearly we must bathe first before I can even think about enjoying food.
"Nice try, but I ain't lettin you get away that easily," she replied, backing up a bit so that he would have to return to all fours. "Food first, no question. I'm not about to let you grow weak over a little goo and dirt." And as gross and disgusting as she felt, it probably served her right for having been amused by the blue's plight in the first place. Still, she was not about to let any harm or illness come to her dragon over something like this. Priorities.
Fine, the blue replied grumpily, starting off quickly for the meat. He really was quite hungry, although his need for cleanliness took over all else in his mind. Hurry up. The sooner I eat then the sooner you can clean me.
Yes, master~ she replied back teasingly, still feeling overly pleased as she followed the blue away from the eggs and Candidates.

'Theli plops herself down next to the other the moment she a hit of encouragement. She sits watching for a moment then starts talking a little breathlessly. "Wow, what a Hatching!" For a moment she croons over the beautiful blue that Impressed to a girl, the second one in fact. "My name's Optheli. Did you know the girl who Impressed the gold?"

Nasuymi had watched the blue with narrowed eyes as he pushed aside more girls. This time, he was being much gentler with a couple of the smaller girls. The heat of the Sands was really starting to burn her feet and she hoped to the First Shell that the little ones left would not take so long picking theirs.
He had paused now and Nasuymi was studying him a little bit harder than she had the others who had hatched. And then when he looked at her.
Nasuymimine Your Daroth found you! What are you talking about? I am hungry!
Mouth open, this time she did whoop for joy as she wrapped her arms around him. "Was talkin' 'bout you, silly. An' how 'andsom you're wi' yer fancy colors! C'mon, I will feed you."
She gave a wave to La and winked boldly at the girl before leading her dragon off the Sands. Who would have thought, the creche worker Impressing?
I knew because you are mine. And you will take care of me. I am so hungry.
And so, they went to join the others who had Impressed before them.

As the blue headed forward, La couldn't help but laugh. The little guy was full of energy and apparently had plenty to spare on some of the younger girls at the front. When he went down to business, though, she glanced sidelong at Nasuymi. Was she thinking the same thing? And then the blue glanced over, caught sight of someone, ran forward...
There was the briefest moment of confusion and excitement when La's stomach seized, heart suddenly beating in her throat, but then the blue collided with Nasuymi, and her attentions went from startled to enthralled. A friend of hers, next to her, Impressing a dragon! "Nasu!" she cried with delight, briefly gripping the other girl's arm before backing away to give her time with her dragonet. "Congrats," she said, winking right back as Nasuymi headed off. And then she turned forward.
The green looking at the boys, eggs rocking...a clutch and a half left? Anything could happen, and she was looking forward to it!

Wow, so far this Hatching was proving to be something spectacular. Not that they all weren't, of course, but Lima certainly couldn't ever remember a Gold Impressing from the Stands like that little one had done. And the bronze before her. The others were having little trouble out on the sands finding their own as well, and it is all the wherhandler can do to sit in her seat and grin through the whole process. Limask would.. alright, no. The wher would not like this at all, too many people, and big dragons around for her liking. But she would definitely be reliving the best parts tonight on Watch with her loving brute. It was good to see that the Benden trouble hadn't put a damper on things too badly.
Oh, the newest blue to Impress was such a striking thing. He Impressed to one of the girls too, she'd have to find some time in the mornings to make certain to congratulate the girl on her new bond, as well as the others of course- but Blues and greens were more to the comfort zone to approach when you somewhat know of the ranking yourself. Limask is missing a grand time of things in that cave of hers.

F'ren was busy feeding Toulonth, her eyes whirling blue/green. He barely noticed the other Candidates turned Riders feeding their new dragons. Suddenly he heard a dragon keening in the backgroud and his breath caught in his chest, his heart pounding as he stood stock still, hand limply holding a chunk of meat. He spinned around in time to see a prettily marked Blue rolling around in the sands.
Toulonth stopped mid chew as she felt F'rens distress, Mine? what's wrong? why are you so sad and scared for? she asked him, her eyes whirling slightly lavender as she matched his distress
F'ren blinked and turned his attention to Toulonth, kneelng he cradled her head in his arms It's alright Toulonth, i just thought that the blue was going to go .... he left the last unspoken, a flash of the Crimson's death shot through his mind, but he quickly covered that as he noticed that the Blue was heading to the girls, and then Impress. He punched the air with a shout "YES!", startling Toulonth "Gabriel! she got a Blue" he said to her. You are happy for this Gabriel? she asked him We should go and greet her, that will make you happy! she said brightly nudging him towards the approaching pair.

And a new queen is born. Primath noted, with a reluctant approval. She could appreciate the tiny queens attitude, though it would be far more celebrated in a tiny gold than in a green like herself, and B'tar squirmed under the hot prickle of her jealousy, trying to pretend it was the heat, and hoping she didn't share these feelings too broadly. He didn't care to get kicked off the sands for his dragon's color-envy. We won't get kicked off.Primath added, muffling a snort. Two impressions in the stands though. How interesting "Very." he muttered back, fascinated. The new queen rider's outburst was...amusing, and he took a moment to follow her jutting finger, wondering if any of those dance steps would be repeated at the gather, before grinning wickedly as he realized exactly who Moira was pointing at. Oh really. That must have an interesting story behind it to be sure. He'd have to see if anyone knew it later. Mostly he otherwise watched the other colors impress without much comment, with a sort of notational interest, (He was largely curious to see an Atype be hatched.), until he saw the fierce little green from the bared fangs egg. Very funny! --------------------
Salin was starting to feel slightly crestfallen: This scenario felt... familiar. Though having two dragons, the queen no less, head for the stands was a new twist. Still there were a large number of eggs to go, and still a green wandering around the sands. He was surprised and pleased that two of his friends had impressed though, apparently both of their sense of confidence had paid off in spades, and he tried to muster some of that for himself. Still. 'In your face'? What was that about? Was that one of the Benden riders the girl had mouthed off to?
--------------------
Saekagi followed with amazement as one after another, the dragons around him found theirs, so far with no bloodshed, and no hatchlings lost 'between'. After the tragedy with the lost rider and mother dragon, it was an huge relief, though Moira's dance on the railing seemed a touch on the surreal side.
