Kurai smirked a little when he came back. She was so bored that she could speak to anyone. "I don't see why not." She answered, leaning forward in her seat as she crossed her legs. She would've crossed her arms if she still had two instead of one, so she leaned one arm on the table surface. "What would you like to talk about?"

StickkyBearr ( This takes before the series.) ((Dammit! >.< I was kinda hoping that it would take place after. Since the manga page that I used in my airbender's profile refers to after Aang is the Avatar.))

Kurai leaned back in her seat at this. It's not that she was surprised, it was that that position was more comfortable. "Really?" She inquired. "Well, then, what would you like to know about myself, friend?" She smirked at herself for that. She hadn't really called anyone 'friend' before. It was interesting.

Kurai chuckled a little at this. "You noticed that I have no right arm, huh?" She commented off-handedly. With her left hand, she traced the scar on her chin, neck, and what is visible of her shoulder. "This scar goes all the way to what's left of my arm. I crossed paths with a vengeful earth-bender who kidnapped a group of Fire Nation children. To win the Fire Nation's trust, I took down the earth-bender and returned the children to their families. They were the ones who dubbed me Kurai."

"owch.. I am sorry to hear that you lost the arm for that.. the most I have is scars... from my stepfather. my brother.. my self even.. when i was younger at least" she chuckled.

Ryu stared at the floor of the large saddle uncomfortably, unsure of what to say.

(Wasnt it Avatar Aang the avatar when teh fire nation attacked, but he vanished? Either way its set 60 years before the series, so its 40 years after the fire nation attacked. Reffering to when katara is talking in the begining.)

Kurai shrugged her shoulders at her statement. "I could only imagine something hurting worse. I work as an assassin, so in my line of business, there are things ultimately more painful than losing an arm. Trust me."
Aire perked up when he said this. "Really?" she asked enthusiastically, leaning towards him. "What kind of guru? what was their specialty?" She was obviously very eager to learn anything new, including learning about different people.

Ryu nodded and looked up to the sky in thought.
"Well, I think he was also a chakra guru... maybe...it's a coincidence?"
He turned curiously to the airbender.
"My grandfather taught my mom what he knew, and she taught me a little before she died..."

She smiles "well I Only really know what my grandfather and my mother taught me.. I would never work as an Assassin, I cant hurt others.. A little odd for a fire bender but that was what my mother taught me. my father wanted me to be a killer.

Aire smiled at him a little and was about to say something until she heard her stomach growl. Chuckling nervously, she rubbed the back of her head. "Eheh... I doubt that you have any food on you, right?" When she received a nod, she slid out of the saddle to snag Sarai's reins. "Then shall we head off to Ba Sing Sei?" Before she could receive a reply, she snapped the reins. "Sarai, yip yip!" But as the ferrakeet leaped into the air, she came back down. "Still exhausted from that storm, huh, buddy?" When she received a series of thrills in reply, she nodded before snagging her glider staff and Ryuu's arm in either hand. "Well, come on. If you've never been to Ba Sing Sei before, you're in for a treat." With that, she lead him to the earth kingdom.
Kurai shook her head at this. "It does sound a little odd, seeing as how fire-benders are the most destructive of all the benders out there, followed by earth, then water. I say that your kind are the most destructive because nothing good can ever come out of fire except for cooking and a heat source. In the wrong hands, a fire can go out of control really fast.

Ryu's face turned a bit red.
"I-I don't know... Ba-Sing-Se wouldn't really welcome someone like me."
He was tempted to tell Aire he should go home, but refrained. This was the perfect time to have his own adventure.

"That isnt compleatly true.. With out fire there is no life.. Fire can be good or bad.. used right, it can produce a sword used wrong.. and it can scar a child for ever.." she rubbed her hand sighing "Fire really can be the Ying and Yang.. It needs to be used with the other elements to work. fire cannot cook something unless it has water to work with.. the pot that it coooks with is earth and the fire needs air to breath.." she shrugs "my grandfather was good at making sure I knew exactly what I was using.. how was the soup by the way?"
