A failed magician who studied super-hard to summon a powerful demon, but ended up turning herself into a cat and making cake, which she gives to the protagonist so that he/she can use it to heal like 20HP or something.

The necromancer/summoner who specializes in summoning Wolf Spirits but later on betrays you in the game because their brother or sister has been captured and held hostage and she has no choice. DUN DUN DUUUUUN! sweatdrop

An undertaker thats gets possesed by a demon at night and you have to fight him in order to get out of the graveyard.

a fairly short tempered warrior/hero in a game, who uses the element of fire, and later on learns patience and wisdom from some old wise philisophical master guy. the hero then goes to finish his quest and slay his enemy.

The mysterious hooded bad guy who you don't know for sure if he's actually bad, but you just get a really bad vibe from him because he just looks, well, evil. And he's always there. Watching you. O.O
And then near the end of the game, you find out he's your brother, who was kidnapped by bandits when the two of you were young. He rose through the ranks in the bandit camp, becoming the leader for a short while before realizing that he could do so much better than being the leader of a rag-tag group of bandits, so he took off and learned the craft of the dark knights from an elite group of soldiers from the Royal Guard of the evil kingdom of Paravym. He traveled there, where he became the king's personal contract killer. The king ordered him to murder you, but he realized that you were his long-lost brother and was hesitant to do so, and now both of you are about to get utterly owned by the king.

A hunter who lives in the snowy northern wastes.
When the player arrives there, he/she learns that the settlements are being attacked by a yeti and he/she must team up with the hunter and her gang to stop it before all civilization in the wastes is destroyed.

Monster trainer who works at a special arena where the player character can fight monsters they've caught in the wild for cool items.
Like in Final Fantasy X.
