Watching Alundra stretch out to grab the door's knob the demon grabbed the ladder suddenly causing it to shake a tiny bit, since it was already fastened to the wall. Not satisfied with the shake The demon took a deep breath and exhaled some flame onto the wood of the ladder. Stepping back from it all he watched as the flames grew taller.

As she yanked the door she felt a firm resistance as the door didn't seem to want to be pulled, but quickly soon after it fell inward, causing Alundra to lose her balance. The flames spirited upwards more quickly as the flames grew stronger. Now as if the fire wasn't enough the demon began climbing the burning ladder with a sense of haste in him.

As she entered the doorway she saw a long hallway unfold in front of her. Along the hallway there seemed to be various obstacles blocking her path, all made of wood. At the end of the hall about a hundred feet away there was a large door. Along the walls there seemed to be holes, spaces and gaps. What they were there for was still a mystery.

Meanwhile Maluc was getting antsy in his room with no one speaking through any of the tubes. Randomly becoming bored and hoping he could bring about someway for him to be able to leave the room he flipped the last two levers. With no response in his room he simply sat and waited again, weary of whether or not he should touch the large wheel in the center of the room. As he flipped the levers two doors in the hallway opened. (5A and 6B)

As she ran through the hall suddenly the reasons for the spaces in the wall was revealed. Large flat blades spanning from floor to ceiling shot out from all of the holes in the walls. They began pacing back and forth in their spaces ready to cut anyone foolish enough to not tread carefully into nice cleanly cut halves.

As Alundra glanced back she saw the demon rising to his feet after coming through the door, a pillar of flames as his backdrop. Breaking into a sprint it chased after her down the hall. Before Alundra could get a chance to sprint again she had two more sets of five blades then there were the wooden obstacles.

The demon slowed down just as much to get past the blades, giving Alundra a bit more time to run through the obstacles. Along the hall there were wooden bars and ledges set to force anyone who treaded through the hall to either leap over, or duck under. By now the door at the end was only fifty feet away.

Seeing Alundra get away from the demon with such ease he'd made it past the first set and decided to make it harder for the girl to escape him. Swinging his arms quickly he began to throw fire down the hall, lighting each of the obstacles before his prey on fire.

Noticing quickly that his fires weren't being given too much regard the demon focused more on getting through the blades more quickly. Soon enough Alundra would come to the door.

The door had a pair of pull switches on it that were about four feet off the ground. They were about four feet apart as well. It seemed as if the had to be thrown at the same time for the door to open.
