David's bored stare continued for several seconds after the man stopped talking. He threw eating utensils when questioned, and then wanted information on the Ichibi? One had to wonder if this man was sane. "If your next trick is the proper way to kill a man with a spoon, I really couldn't care less." David bluntly stated, idly looking into the back of the stand, wondering when the host was going to return, and possibly feed him. "As for the Ichibi, I wouldn't know it's full potential. Infinity is hard to measure." It was exceedingly rare for David to boast, but he wouldn't deny that single fact. He had researched the demon himself for years, before and after being sealed, and he couldn't even glimpse the end of it's potential. And the fools considered it the weakest of the bijuu. What a laugh.

"Yeah, well, change that. We can't have weaklings in our vicinity, can we?" Ryuji still wore his blissful smile, even though he had inadvertently insulted the host. David would get used to it. Ryuji was a unique person, his personality hard to pin down. On one end, he was a bumbling fool who's skill could have been questioned by even the lowest academy student. On the other end, however, Ryuji was a frightful jounin, one who had earned his 20 times over. "Now, since you are the Ichibi Host, you might as well get a little info on our organization, i suppose. Our leader, Genzai, is very eager to meet you. In fact, he sent me here to talk to you. Supposedly, you are "a treasure of the Sand", a sobriquet i hope that proves correct." Ryuji took a moment to pause. He was getting hungry again, and his sake supply was running low. Turning his attention away from David, he reached in his bag a moment, searching the contents for something that seemed important. His face lit up when he found his chocolate mochi cakes from earlier, and setting the bag aside, he looked hungrily at the desserts. Palming one, he threw it in his mouth before continuing. "Tell me, David, do you know the one thing ninja require most in this world?"

David's eyebrow rose at the implied weakness the man suggested, but he did little else to retaliate. He really didn't care what the man thought, so long as he didn't insist on throwing table settings at him. He had to scoff a bit when the man called him a treasure of the sand though. Had people really changed their view of him that much while he was incapacitated? Maybe he should have tried beating up giant monsters more often. He took a pause at the question though, staring off into the depths of the stand thoughtfully for a moment. Well, not really, he was still just wondering where the cook was. "That would depend on what kind of ninja you wished to be." He answered, staring off into the stand still. "Some would say power. Others would prefer speed, stealth, or just skill. Some would even say luck. Me, I don't have an opinion on the matter. I just do what works." He finished, shrugging at the end and turning back to face the man.

"You're thinking in terms of battle, David. Ninja do require all of those, thats true, but they need something else. Shinobi like you and I are mere tools, nothing more than objects used in battle. If one of us dies, there is another to replace us. If I were to kill you right now and take your demon, that would be the end of it. Jade-chan might try to stop me, you might try to stop me, but if i did succeed, you would die, forgotten in a few weeks, and i would obtain a power many long for. Then, the world will keep on going....." Ryuji took another mochi cake and ate. His eyes closed with satisfaction, and for a moment, he stayed quiet, gathering his thoughts. He took another drink and leaned back. "Man, these things are perfect, i swear. go even better with sake. So yea, as i was saying, most people are nothing more than a tool. Now, David, would you like to stay a tool? Or would you like to be something more? This is the true goal of the Death Dealers. To change the world so people who are too stupid to attempt can have an actual purpose. Shinobi everywhere are perfectly fine with doing nothing but killing, then dying. Normally, we would be fine with that. Behemoths are behemoths. Let them die. But.....these shinobi are sprouting up and about everyday. This world is becoming ignorant, lazy, sorta despicable. There are self-proclaim shinobi running around and not even acting like shinobi. They don't have any type of code. Any sort of honor. This cannot happen. So, we, as the Death Dealers, must do as our name implies: Deal Death. By inflicting disaster after disaster, we take out the weak, strengthen the strong, and rebuild the ideals of the shinobi world, by force if necessary. Sunagakure seemed to be the prime village for this goal, and by joining up with us, it's preponderance will only increase. The world needs changing, David, and we can't wait around for someone to change it. Catch my drift?" Ryuji finished his last mochi cake. This slightly upset him, but he was more interested in David's response. The boy seemed intelligent enough to get the idea. The world was weak and corrupt. The Death Dealers needed to make it strong. Stronger. Stronger than it was before. The wheels of fate are turning.

David held back a snort at Ryuji's implications that anyone could use David as a tool. Yeah, he knew all about that 'fate of the shinobi' crap, but if anyone tried, they would have one hell of a time trying to apply it to him. He just wasn't that good at following other's rules. Giving up on the cook coming out anytime soon, David spun around on his stool, leaning back against the counter as he let the man finish. He already knew pretty much everything the man was saying, some of it even was his reason for remaining a shinobi rather than just walking away a long time ago. "Why don't you skip to the part where you come right out and ask me to join your group?" He said, with a snort. He didn't know what the man thought he was implying, but the recruitment speech was definitely there. "But it won't do you much good. I'm quite happy in Suna." He rather liked what the man was saying, if only because he had come up with most of it himself, minus the whole causing disasters part. That seemed a bit zealous. But in the end, his plans only reached as far as this village, he really didn't care about the rest of the world, and wasn't going to leave just for a nice speech.

"Who said we wanted you to join our group, eh?" Ryuji kept David's gaze a long time before laughing. He scratched the back if his head, his eyes still trained at the Ichibi Host, and grinned. "Its understandable that you are satisfied in Sunagakure. Its a fine village, one of the finest. Exactly why we chose it. You see, Jade-chan is an old ally, one who the Death Dealers can trust. Her leading the Sand village was only a plus in our plans. By joining up with the Death Dealers, not only will an individual gain power, but there village will as well. We plan to make Sunagakure the strongest village out there. The others are weak, nothing like the Sand, and therefore, need "adjusting". Now, i'm not sure if you'd like to see the other villages fall, but thats whats gonna happen. Sunagakure will come out of the new era stronger than others, and the other villages.....well, excuse my exaggeration, but they will bow down to the Sand."

David rolled his eyes slightly at the man's words. He claimed not to be recruiting, but this still sounded like a recruitment speech to him. "That's all well and good. But that's all for the kazekage to decide. Why are you telling me?" It didn't go over well with David when people tried to manipulate him, and while that may not have been Ryuji's intention, he couldn't see where the current line of conversation had anything to do with him, unless it was intended to make him join their little group.

Ryuji raised an eyebrow at David. He would definitely have troubles with Genzai, especially if he continued to act this way. Setting a hand on his hat, Ryuji sighed. "You're smarting than i thought, kid. Just make sure to keep that mouth in check, ok? Now, i want you to meet the Leader of the Death Dealers. Well, that, and let me train you. You spend a couple of days with us, get to know the group, and report back to Sunagakure, not mentioning anything to anybody except Jade-chan. Simple, right?" Ryuji smiled as he uttered the last words, making this little "mission" seem like a vacation for David. It would be a perfect opportunity to learn and train, as well as build relations with other Death Dealers. Plus, maybe, just maybe, David could teach Murasaki something. Hell, this could be a win win situation for everyone. "Now, i know its a pretty big thing, a complete stranger asking you to come stay with his anti-establishment group for a few days, but hear me out. Consider it as a mission. Jade-chan will keep tabs on you, i'll keep tabs on you, and you'll be able to explore the world outside the village. Most likely, you'll learn something new. "

"Smarting?" David muttered. The man must have meant smarter, but to use the wrong word in that sentence? Highly... Something. He didn't even want to go there. The man had apparently gone from not so subtly trying to recruit him, to already considering him a member of their club, oddly enough. "While I'm not against getting some extra training, that's still for the kazekage to decide." He pointed out. Leaving off the minor detail that he had his own student to worry about now. If Jade wanted him to go along with this, whatever this was, he would, but it still struck him as very... Strange. Maybe the man just wasn't used to talking to people? Or most people he talked to were easily convinced? Or maybe David was just more socially inept than he had initially thought and the man was perfectly normal. That was an odd idea.

{ Too bad, it's fact now! Muahahaha! Anyways, we should probably wait for Jade before moving on, or if you post, talk to her or something. Considering the number of times David's said it was her decision, she should be involved. }

{Sorry I was away so long...virus..attacked..so I did as Hinote said, and 'burned' it with 'fire'}

Jade's clone had been silent throughout the ordeal, but thought it would be a wonderful idea for David to train with such a competent ninja. "As long as you have finished up with Karonashi, than you may train with Ryuji-chan. I must be on my way now." The clone said as it rose to its feet, ready to disappear. It placed a hand on Ryuji's shoulder before going. "I'll be in my office if there are any problems. Teach him well." And with that, the clone turned into nothingness, leaving a plume of smoke behind.

Ryuji smirked. The mission to Sunagakure had been a total success, and now, he would have time to train the Ichibi. He gave him another look over, trying to notice anything odd about the boy that he failed to catch earlier. nothing out of the ordinary. With a stretch, Ryuji stood up, gently nudging Kami with his feet. the bear awoke with an angry growl, and for a moment, it seemed as if it were about to attack. But it didn't. It just stood up on both its feet, so calmly like a human, and waited for Ryuji and his guest. Ryuji turned back to David. "Ready to go?"

"Sit down." David said, rolling his eyes as he spun back around on the stool, facing the counter once more. "I didn't come here to talk to you after all." A smirk graced his lips as the cook finally returned from the back. After David made a quick order, the man was gone again. "As Jade said, I have some business to take care of here before I even think about it. Unless you wanted to take Karonashi along too?" Now that was a thought. If the man wanted to assist in whatever training his new student needed, that would work out rather nicely.

Ryuji raised his eyebrow at David. Kami growled loudly. Tension was apparent throughout the ramen shop, even if only between Ryuji and David. He was getting annoying. Really annoying. Ryuji rarely ever lost his cool. In fact, he was always a chill guy, and a smile would usually be the only expression on his face. However, if there was one thing that he hated most in the world, it was being ordered around. Worse, being ordered around by his inferior. He chuckled a bit before looking back at the Ichibi, his smile turning into a more devilish grin. "Listen, Mr. David, watch your mouth. Your manners are s**t, and frankly, the way you act is annoying. I don't know who Mr. Karonashi is, but no. Its only gonna be us. And don't act cocky around Genzai. Thats some advice you ought to take. That tough guy act you got going on? Gets real lame real quick. He's not as forgiving as me." Ryuji adjusted his hat. By looking at his face, it would seem as if he didn't even insult David or lose his temper. He merely kept calm. "Now, you can finish your business with that Mr. Karonashi, i don't mind. But, i'm leaving tomorrow morning, so if you're not at the gate, i guess i'll just have to find you, eh?"
