 Yamatano continued to fight with his small snake, until Kuro suddenly stopped and stared past his shoulder at something. Turning around, Yamatano saw Kaizen just as he was emitting a spray of water from his mouth to drench him. Scooping up Kuro in the process, Yamatano lept into the air, doing a half flip as his feet stuck to the ceiling, Kuro clutched tightly in his hands. "Kai! Dont scare me like that, Someone could get hurt!" Yamatano said jokingly, glad to see that his friend had made it past the exams as well, while Kuro struggled to get free of Yamatanos grasp.

"Hmm, this little guy? Well he's-" Before Yamatano could finish, Kuro escaped from his hands, crawled on the ceiling with his own chakra, let go to land in Kai's gravity defying hair, and slithered onto his shoulder. "Yo, I'm Kuro! I'm the one with the brains, Yamatano over there just summons me when he's bored, or when I'M TRYING TO EAT!" He said, the last part aimed at Yamatano, who had descended from the ceiling and walked over to Kaizen.

Kai turned his head to regard the rather interesting serpent that had made its way to his shoulder, a playful smile playing on his face as he said, "Well I wouldn't expect Yamatano to be the brains of any operation, that would just be a recipe for disaster." Kai snickered once more before looking to Yamatano, a happy smile spread across his face as he said in an endearing tone, "it is good to see you again... my friend...""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 38/39

Yamatano was happy to see Kaizen, but still, he had to defend himself against the onslaught of comments questioning his intellect. "Oh, so I suppose YOU would be a good head of an operation, Mr. Charge in blindly at every fight I've ever come across?" Yamatano remarked half jokingly, referring of course to the sanbi attack, where Kaizen had tried to fight the beast head on even though it was in the middle of a lake. "But yea, that loudmouth is Kuro, and I do summon him when I'm bored. So, what have you been up to?" Yamatano asked, wondering how his teammate fared in the exams.

Kai merely shrugged at his friend's accusation, his playful grin not leaving his face for an instant. At Yamatano's question, Kai stuck his hands in his pockets and said simply, "Well, my team acquired the necessary 5 artifacts, though we cut it pretty close. Of course I have no way of knowing what will happen next... for all I know I might not be moving on to the next stage, the note we received did seem to imply the possibility that not every member of every team would pass the second stage.""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 38/39

[Forgot to address this earlier, so here haha]
If Kai were to look into his bag, he'd notice the small parcel that was left behind. In it were several small things, A bottle of the same aloe vera drink Tai had given him before, a note, and half of the delectable foreign candy from earlier. Once opened, the note would read as such;
"Dear Kai, this stage of the exam was definitely fun for me. Back in Konoha I don't really have too many friends, though not for lack of trying mind you; mostly due to my demeanor, Haha, but During the last stage of the exams, I felt as though I had a teammate who thought like me, and felt the same strong convictions as I do.I guess what I'm trying to say is, that you will always be a friend of the Uchiha, and A friend of mine. I wish you great luck on the next portion of the exam, even if we end up fighting each other, I will still hope the best for you. Any time you're in the land of fire, don't forget that Konoha's Uchiha compound will always have a spare room for you and your friends."

Yamatano took on a more serious tone as he addressed Kaizen. "Yea, thats true. But I'm sure we passed, cause were both so strong, right? But that note.....It said to be battle ready. I guess that means we gotta brush up on our combat, and maybe even learn a new trick before the third stage. Anything in mind?" Yamatano asked, wondering what kind of tricks his friend had been up to.

Kai smiled lightly before saying, "Oh, I've learned a few new tricks, here let me show you." Drawing his katana from its sheath, Kai turned to the side so that he was no longer facing Yamatano, and then lifted his blade. As he let his chakra build in his chest and then move into his arm, Kai's eyes began to change from a stark-white to a brilliant emerald-green, the pigment seeming to seep out from the center of his eye where his pupil would normally be. In a commanding voice, Kai then called out, "Kamaitachi no Jutsu!", and slashed down with his blade.
A wave of violent, cutting wind shot forward towards an out-hanging branch, easily as thick as a grown man's arm. As the wind met with the tree branch it began to cut large furrows into the wood, until finally it cut the limb in two, causing the end to plummet to the ground. Turning towards Yamatano once more, Kai smiled, a playful glint shinning in his emerald eyes, "Got anything that can trump that?""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 37/39(*cough* you should use the white chakra enhancement on your blades *cough*)

(Even Better, something to trump you mrgreen ) Yamatano watched in amazement as Kaizen performed, if his guess was correct, a Fuuton attack. [i ]"What the, wind style? Has the Gobi affected him so much that he can now use any elemental chakra?" Yamatano wondered to himself. Despite his concern for his friend, however, Yamatano didnt want to back down from a challenge, especially one he knew he could win. "Alright Kai, you think your gust of wind is hot stuff? Let me show you how a skilled shinobi does it." Yamatano said half jokingly before turning to the same window and targeting another branch, this one connected directly to the trunk of the tree, so thick that Yamatano would just barely be able to wrap his arms around the entire trunk. Making all the necessary handseals for the one jutsu he used them for, Yamatano lifted his right arm to the sky. Water within the air condescended in Yamatano's palm, forming what seemed to be a ring with a blade on the end. With a simple flick of his wrist, Yamatano extended the blade to reveal it's true form: a Fuuma Shuriken, Yamatano's signature jutsu. But that wasnt all that went into it. Yamatano went one step further and poured his white chakra into the shuriken, increasing it's size, cutting power, range, and iving it a glowing white, almost heavenly appearance. As the shuriken floated and began to spin in his open palm, Yamatano reached back behind his head, the shuriken still spinning, and cried out "Suiton: Shiro Fuuma Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu!"As he brought his arm forward, the shuriken left Yamatano's palm and sped toward the branch, sawing through the branch like a knife would through butter. The branch fell to the earth with a great crash, and Yamatano turned back to Kaizen in triumph. "I guess your not the only one whos had a little private tutoring from Lord Mizukage, ehh?"Chakra points: 20/31

Kai's eyes widened as Yamatano created a huge looking shuriken, using only the water from the air, and when he went one step further and appeared to infuse it with another kind of chakra, Kai couldn't help but gawk in open amazement. After watching the water shuriken sheer through the branch of the tree, Kai turned back to Yamatano, his eyes shifting back to their usual stark-white, and said with no small measure of envy, "how did you do that?! You've got to teach me that one!""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 37/39

(........I wanted to win) Yamatano stood there, his grin evident beneath his mask as Kaizen all but begged to learn how to use that jutsu. "Well that jutsu, the Fuuma Water Shuriken, is something Lord Mizukage taught me. But I was able to make it even stonger by pouring my chakra into it. In fact, I can do that with just about any weapon or weapon based jutsu. See?" Yamatano remarked as he pulled out his left dagger and poured chakra into it, lengthening the blade and sharpening the edge. Yamatano decided not to tell Kaizen that this was a bloodline power among the Hatake clan, instead choosing to watch his friend attempt the same thing with no results, resulting in frustration for one and a,usement for the other. Oh, this was going to be a fun afternoon, Yamatano could just tell.

Kai narrowed his eyes at his friend's display, then smirked as he thought to himself, that doesn't look too hard. Looking down at his blade, Kai nodded his head and then closed his eyes in concentration as he began to pool chakra in his chest, letting it build and build, before letting the chakra flow into his arm. As the chakra flowed down the length of his arm and through his hand, Kai could feel his excitement beginning to build. With a technique like this, my chances of success will be just that much better, Kai enthused to himself as his chakra moved to fill every contour of his arm.
Then, almost of its own accord, his chakra surged forth, pushing itself into the blade, as Kai's stark-white eyes opened wide. As his chakra poured into the blade, his eyes began to shift colors. From the center of his eye, where his pupil might have been, a deep silver-blue began to spread throughout his eye, moving like ink through water until both his eyes looked like liquid lightning. Meanwhile, an equally amazing change was occuring to his sword. As Kai's eyes shifted color, electricity coursed up the length of his blade, until it reached the end of the blade and a booming clap of thunder sounded.
Looking down at his blade, Kai blinked several times before a huge grin spread across his face. Looking up at Yamatano, Kai said excitedly, "How's that! Got any other tricks for me to improve on!""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 38/39

Yamatano stood there in disbelief, still staring at Kai's sword, his one visible eye having gone extremely wide. Kai had just used chakra to alter his weapon, something that was supposed to be a secret technique of the Hatake clan. Whats more, the chakra he had brought forth was elemental, and it was lightning, the element of his clan. Disbelief aside, however, Yamatano was happy that his friend was able to accomplish such an amazing feat. "Uhh.......well...........wow, to be honest, I wasnt expecting you to be able to do that. That power is a Kekkei Genkai of the Hatake clan, but I dont think that was the case for you. The chakra is different, and your blade looks like.......well, a great column of lightning. Kai, keep that ability secret until you figure out how you do that." Yamatano instructed, still marveling at the blade.

Kai nodded his head as he looked down at his blade, electricity visibly arcing off of it as he held it in his hand. It was hard to believe it was real, what else could he do? And why was he suddenly able to do these things?"I... I think I'm going to go get some rest... I'll see you later, Yama", Kai said in a monotone, still gripping his blade as he turned away towards the common room of the treehouses. He needed some time to figure things out, and honestly he could use some rest before the next part of the exams began.
Walking into the room, Kai sat down on the plush couch, holding the still electrically charged blade in front of him as he gazed at it with silver-blue eyes. Closing his eyes, Kai drew back his chakra, causing the electricity that coursed through the blade to dissipate. Laying the blade across his lap, Kai's eyes began to shift back to their regular stark-white as he continued to simply stare at the blade, his mind distant as his thoughts wandered. As he sat there, thinking of nothing in particular, Kai thought about what had happened to him over the past year. How he had gained the ability to use elemental chakra, the strange dreams he kept having, what had happened to Kanzuki. During the Gobi attack, Kai had fallen unconcious only to find that when he awoke the Gobi was gone and he was perfectly fine. Kai's eyes became terribly distant, his mind turning as if trying to make sense of a situation that was senseless. Then all of a sudden, Kai's eyes widened as the vision of a great white eye flashed in his mind."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" Chakra points: 38/39
