The only time I went out of the US before was a disastrous trip to Canada. I was little, and we went into Niagara Falls. I thought we were going to "go down the drain," and I couldn't stop screaming. XDD
I swear, that and Beavis and Butthead are my only childhood memories. XD

I lived in England for a year. It was awesome.
And now I'm in the strange country of conference-land.

@Jujy: I didn't think England was that cool but if you think it is then ace biggrin
@Scraps: that's awesome! I can understand why a child would think that... maybe you should write a short story about it? Or even a children's story! lol.
@Eileen: I never knew you'd lived in England! :O

Haha, maybe I should write something about it. I do have a blog, but it's a Tumblr that I mostly use to post links and the like. xD

Haha, thanks guys. I might keep a blog, but I'm not going there for another month.
Anyway, are there any grammar topics you guys want me to touch more on? Anything I neglected to talk about, or anything you guys feel you need more help understanding? I don't want to make classes about things you guys already know, so yeah. XD

I think that's a regional thing, for the most part. In the US, you'll see people's initials with periods (J.K. Rowling) but other acronyms without (SCUBA, USA), but in The Queen's English, I don't think periods are used for acronyms at all. I think the Queen's English has spaces between letters in people's initials, though. I'll go double check.
Abbreviations always have a period after them in US English, but not in The Queen's English: "Abbr." in America but "Abbr" in UK English.
Anything else? How about punctuation with quotations?

It's a stylebook thing, mostly, I guess, and one that keeps tripping me up. Which I guess is why they print the damn stylebooks. T.T (they are expensive)
Punctuation with quotations is pretty basic, isn't it? It goes inside.
