The balls were thrown and the dark ball was the first to hit the Feraligatr and suck it in.

The black ball wiggled on the ground furiously, and when it seemed it might escape... DING! The angry mama was caught.

However, Panther's ball would seem less effective as the completely healthy Totodile, while sound asleep... somehow managed to pop out of the ball, still snoozing on the ground. What the...?! The other two were gone.

Zach was genuinely pissed, and yet there wasn't a whole lot he could do about it. So he simply sighed, and went to a tree to tend to Yasu.

He used a revive and a potion, and then sat down against the tree to take a break. He looked toward Yasu, "Hey Yasu, I know you just got your a** handed to you by an idiot trainer's snorlax, but you mind grabbing me a fresh water in there? You can grab the treats for yourself if you want, I just would rather sit here for a little bit so I don't tear something's head off."

Yasu gave his trainer a worried look, he could tell his trainer was genuinely upset, which isn't typical for him at all. He complied however, digging through his trainer's pack, but he hapened to catch something shiny in one of the side pockets, and nosed at it curiously. Much to his surprise however, he started evolving! He flashed white, and started growing... and then in a burst of energy, he became an espeon!
He looked at himself startled, not expecting that to happen at all. "Espeon!"

At that, Zach flinched. Damn it, don't tell me... He turned around to check on Yasu, and discovered an Espeon, holding a bottle of fresh water. "Damn it Yasu, I was saving that for later... Ah well, this is just how my day has been. I guess I shouldn't really be surprised. It's good you evolved, I just wish you had waited a little longer." Yasu's ears went down a little, disappointed that his trainer didn't approve of his evolving. Zach said, "Oh, don't be like that, you couldn't have known this would happen. This is probably the best thing that has happened all day really."

After taking some time to drink the fresh water, he got up and decided he would have to head back empty handed, not something he intended to let happen again.

Knocked back by the Tackle, the Pidgeotto was able to evade the water gun. The bird retaliating with a Whirlwind attack at the Vaporeon... before suddenly falling asleep.

Panther nodded, seeing that the pokemon was still asleep. He didn't want to hit it again, knowing how much of a difference in stage shade was form the water pokemon. He tossed a pokeball again, trying to snag it before too much more time had passed. It sounded like the fight had stopped up ahead, so either they were screwed anyway or there was more hunting to be done.

Mau looked at Cal, then Blossom and Aki. He pulled a ball from his pocket and lobbed it at the sleeping bird. "Don't mind me, Cal."

Leonard slowly walked over to his Dark ball, which contained the newly caught Feraligatr. Thank Arceus that worked, or they would've been wiped out. He gingerly picked up the orb, like it was going to snap his fingers off at any moment, and slipped it into his bag. Introductions for the new team mate will have to come later. No doubt the Feraligatr is going to be still livid about its capture.

"Great job guys..." He couldn't believe that his Pokemon came through for him. For once. He pulled out some Potions and healed everyone's wounds, first Omega, then Seance, then Brick. Afterwards, he figured that he didn't need all three of them out at once anymore, so he called back Brick and Omega.

Now turning to Zach, he was surprised to see that the Eevee evolved into an Espeon. Well that could've been more useful a couple minutes ago... but at least he wasn't going to be completely useless now.

"Hey, congrats on the evolution." Leonard managed to smile a little bit. "Are you ready to go now?"

The Pidgeotto was sucked into the ball and... Ping! Success!
