Veronica sighed heavily. "Daviiiiid. I understand, I do. But Raffaele loves him. My husband. He loves my Hunter."
She ran her fingers through her hair quickly, catching a knot and pulling her hair by mistake. "Agh," She pulled it apart, smoothed her hair out and then looked up at David.
"How do you know their not hooking up somewhere in the woods right now?" It wasn't that she didn't trust Hunter. She was just irrational, always had been.
Old habits die hard.

Everyone has an opinion about love, what it is, what it is not,
how, why and when. Everyone, from the breastfed babe to the
night creature. Love is as personal, and as universal, as we
desire to create it. For me, love is defined by my immortal beloved,
whom I sought for centuries. Hunter laughed and shook his head "Take him, he sucks at housekeeping anyways." yeah because David really didn't do much these days. Mostly because Veronica did a damn good job of calming him down whenever he got in a mood like that. And he really wasn't that bad a housekeeper.
At the mention of Veronica he frowned and looked at the man. "Raffaele, I'm not going back there for at least the weekend. I'm tired of her doing this every time we get into an argument." define this? Why this was how she blew everything out of proportion, made it his fault, and somehow managed to do him bodily harm. Every single time, and she ran off too sometimes, which led to him searching the property and the surrounding woods desperately till he found her. It was about time she got a taste of her own medicine, the only difference was that he had waaayyy more practice with losing people following him than she did. After all, the only people she had ever had follow her was Hunter.
"You can go back and get your pack of mutts if you want, all she should do is assault you with questions." yeah hopefully, if not then David better do his job and keep her out of trouble, as well as out of harms way. But Hunter wasn't going back there just yet.

David raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Why would you say something like that Veronica? You should know better." he said in a scolding tone. She really should know better, Hunter would never cheat on her.
He crossed his arms and looked at her before shaking his head and sitting down across from her. "You need to chill out Veronica. And not just right now, with everything. You husband is not one for drama, he never was and you know that, you fill up any excitement he could want or need, and now that this Versipellis has shown up... frankly it's more than he can deal with at the moment. He needs time to gather his thoughts, and his wits about it." he said.

X"Ew I don't have the time for questions." That was bitchy! But then again Raffaele was constantly questioned by everyone...for like twenty million reasons. So you could sympathize with his apparent disdain.
"I mean...well we could always go to Dante's place...but he's coming back tomorrow sooo..hmmm." He placed his fingers on his chin, apparently in thought.
"I suppose I could always just yell at him if he starts asking who you are and stuff." Yeah because Dante was human...which meant like he couldn't do s**t.

Veronica looked up at David. "I know he's not.. but its just the fact that he could be. He could very easily cheat on me and I'd never have the slightest clue." She sighed heavily.
Then David was using his 'fatherly' voice with her. She cocked her head to the side, her hands flew to her hips, and her lips were more than ready to spit fire his way.
But she stopped. Her eyes casted downward and she felt her heart sink. "I just..have to let my past go." As silly as it might seem, she still had those trust issues. She was afraid of losing Hunter and she was so unsure of how to show her love. She knew that sex was the making of love, but they couldn't be constantly ********. And Hunter never seemed to like to go out in public and have mini not-super-affectionate PDA moments. They were in the middle of nowhere now, for Gods sakes.
Really, there was no excuse. "David, he isn't coming back, anytime soon at least, is he?" Her voice sounded so... pathetic. Her eyes watered and she barely had the strength to look up at the demon.

David looked at her and raised another eyebrow. "You really should, he did." well he let go of everything that wasn't engraved into his soul. He loved again, that was proof, he loved her deeply. Of course, you wouldn't know it, but Hunter was all emotion. He felt every emotion intensely, which was why he was so dangerous, and also why he loved Veronica the way he did.
"I'm sure he will be back eventually." he said lamely. He couldn't guarantee when, nor could he tell her that he was in fact standing quiet a few miles away talking to Raffaele.
After babysitting the vampire for nearly a millennium David had gotten used to subconsciously keeping tabs on his whereabouts and happenings, that way he could pop in and stop him if anything went down.

whom I sought for centuries. Hunter chuckled and shook his head. "I'll just hang out here, I don't want to intrude on you and your boyfriend." he really didn't actually. And he preferred it away from the cities. Which reminded him.... his and Veronica's anniversary was in about two days and he had been planning to take her into the cities anyways for some dancing and letting her actually be around people. Most of the reason he had kept her secluded for so long was how new she was at being a vampire, all it would really take was someone to piss her off. But he knew she had amazing self control so he knew she would like going into town more that wandering around in the wilderness and picnicking or something like that.

And in theory Dante could be labeled as a boyfriend...it was just in front of Hunter such a superficial title was not acceptable of the man who really Raffaele was planning to kill then take the money of.
Hell boyfriend was a dumb term anyway.
He had been in love with Hunter, and they had slept together...and lived together and all this crazy s**t...but Hunter had never no for one day been Raffaele's boyfriend.
"And yeah, you're going to hang out in this field by yourself for a few days? Are you going to live off of the kangaroos?" Which Raffaele knew Hunter hated.
"You don't even have porn to entertain you here." He figured he'd just add his gay friend's catch phrase there...because it was true!

Veronica let David's words really sink in for a moment, she pondered everything.
Hunter had loved a girl who turned her back on him entirely. He had been through so much as well, and he let everything go and fell for her. He married her for heavens sake. They had raised a child together, whether it was their child or not.
They had built a life together. Hunter and Veronica Black. Forever.
And Always.
"Eventually." She sighed finally before retreating back into the house. She went up the stairs, slugging up them. She went into their bedroom and slammed the door. She threw herself on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
This was not Veronica. The normal Veronica would throw a hissy fit and tear through the woods until she found Hunter, they'd fight and have hot make up sex and that would be the end of it.
But the old charade had to get old eventually right? Maybe Hunter was just finally fed up, he had obviously had enough.
If Veronica wanted to keep him, she had to change.

whom I sought for centuries. Hunter chuckled, "I like handing out in fields, and I really don't need porn to keep myself occupied." He grimaced though at the thought of eating a kangaroo. "Animal's taste disgusting." he growled at the thought and then looked at Raffaele with another frown. "Why are you all decked out like a vampire Raff?" it was a good question in his mind, because he wasn't totally grasping the concept that Raffaele may not entirely be himself anymore. But he didn't know much about Versipellis so you really couldn't blame him.

David sighed, that girl was ridiculous. Really really really ridiculous. But it wasn't his place to butt in, if they worked out then they worked out. If not, David supposed that he would be back in business of keeping Hunter from killing things.

XAnimals were delicious...but then again whenever Raffaele was playing vampire...humans were the only suitable food source...because it wasn't like vampires ate vital organs which were like deliciouso!
Oh, hard hitting questions?
Fine, Raffaele could be honest with Hunter...he always had been anyway.
"I'm not always a vampire...it's just that being a vampire is incredibly continent. Most people think you're human, you're strong, fast, alert...oh and no one comes after you screaming they're going to make you into a decorative furnishing piece that will forever give their family glory and fame." Truth.
Hunters...not the vampire fighting ones, but the ones that came from like occult families that poached rare creatures....they were incredibly annoying.
"If I can be anything I want to be, a werewolf, a demon, human, cat, dog, mouse, a unicorn, vampire's just gain the most respect....well, being a versipellis gives you the most respect but I hate being in my real form or whatever the ******** it's called."
That and maybe being a vampire would make Hunter like him more.

XThis was about to get very complicated...and usually Raffaele would be like shut the ******** up b***h....but this was Hunter they were talking about...and after hundreds of years of separation Raffaele wasn't going to pass up on any opportunity to spend time with the vampire.
"Well, Apollodorus...the guy that kidnapped me, said what a versipellis looked like as a human, will always be a part of them. It's the easiest things to s**t into, and strangely, no other shape shifter out there will ever be able to look like what I did when I was human. So in that way, he thinks--and I guess I do too, that yeah it is my real form, but at the same time it's not. I'm everything and nothing all at once."
And that was the harshest reality of all.
"I never let anyone see me as I was though, save for my wolves and you...because even though what I look like under my skin is who I really am....looking the way I did when I was human is how I like to think of myself, and it's very important I preserve those who put on the skin."

whom I sought for centuries. Hunter nodded his head, not completely understanding, but getting enough out of it to know Raffaele wasn't going to just show off his human form to anyone. He did know the man could change into just about anything, just like Max and just like David's daughter, although she wasn't a versipellis, it was just a demon trait she had inherited from her mother. Speaking of which now really wasn't the time to leave home because Amelia and Max were coming over soon too. Hunter sighed and looked at Raffaele, "You should come back to my place and meet David's son in law."
