Forest glanced at the table, everyone was either staring at their food, or thinking to themselves. It wasn't necessarily an awkward silence, but, it was very, very silent. He continued to poke at his food, the curiousity of the newest guest was feeding his hunger. Forest smiled, he had an idea.
"So, who wants to know what they're saying?" Forest glanced at Elphida, changing his ears from that of a weak humans, to an owl's, capable of hearing a mouse squeak from a few hundred yards.

Gal senced that someone was starting to liston to their conversation and imidietly thought of the angel in the other room.
Gal: dang snoop.
he walked back in to the dining room and looked at the angel.
Gal: dont liston to conversations that you have no busniss in angel.
his tone was not nice.

Forest leaped up and growled. Preparing to unleash a wolf on this pathetic demon. "You're a fool, demon, perhaps you'd like to try an assortement of venoms from an entire planet of deadly species? Becuase I'd love to make that happen." Forest smiled, growing two pointed, venomous, fangs of a cobra, ready to strike. "Using Angels as scapegoats makes me sick, so I'm willing to return the favor."

Ruby sighed. She just slowly ate with her good hand. Her ears twitched every so often. If she was ease dropping it wasn't on purpose. She was actually trying to block out the voices.

Gal looked at him and rolled his eyes.
Gal: you have your reasons for doing what you do and i have my reasons for hating them. besides, get used to me being here because i am not going anywhere.
he walked out the door and started to explore the castle.

Forest sat down and started eating again, everyone remained quiet. He was so, so, tired of the quiet. "Why don't any of you people say anything?!"

Elphida had kept her ears covered as the small quarrel played out between Forest and the newcomer. Elphida wished she could have said somthing, wished she could make the newcomer understand that hatred is not the answer, especially in a neutral city! Looking for any distraction to sway away from the tension in the room, Elphida noticed that Ruby's arm was hurt. "Oh dear, Ruby, would you like me to heal that for you?"

Ruby looked up when she heard her name and then looked down at her arm. Again she would be getting help, god she hated help with a passion. But how could she be rude and say no to such a sweet angel. "Thanks. That would be great." She said with a wide grin on her face.

Elphida got up from her chair and gently placed her hands on Ruby's arm. Closing her eyes, a soft golden glow emitted from Elphida's finger tips and the wound healed before their eyes. It wasn't a very strong power, she could only handle small wounds, but it made her feel better from the disheveling quarrel that had left the room in tension. With a sigh of relief, Elphida returned to her chair with a pleasent smile.

Forest clapped his hands dramatically, "What an awesome job, now I can sleep easily tonight, knowing that Ruby is safe and sound. Really, my mind is at ease. That friendly demon is running around somewhere on this estate, the wars going on up there are so comfortingly unending, my family dead because of them, and the neutral zone we all came to know and love is slowly falling to pieces. But, what does it all matter, knowing we're safe and sound among this highly secured little fortress?" Forest sighed, he felt like an erupting volcano, and knew the only thing that came about from erupting volcanoes was destruction. "Listen, you can get mad at me, you can yell at me and punish me, exile me if you want. But, let me know when we stop having tea parties, and do something productive with our lives. Goodnight." Forest walked away, he knew some would roll their eyes, or yawn at his stupid rambling, thinking he was some annoying drama king, but he didn't care. It wasn't his job to be nice and play "who has the most problems?". Because everyone on this god foresaken planet would nominate themselves as the winner.

Sera didn't have time to stop the turmoil. She let it happen, hoping passionately that there wouldn't be any major hurt after this. After Forest left, all that remained was awkward silence. She looked at Adrian and then Elphida. The angel was obviously affected from the tension in the air, so Sera quickly said, "Don't worry, Elphida. Gal doesn't hate angels. He's just one of those cookie-cutter soldiers that has that immediate, repelling reaction to your kind. Like when we first met, remember? I could barely look at you in a friendly manner." She felt the guilt of those days all over again. Right after retiring here, she learned that her neighbor was not only an angel... but a friendly angel. That had led to many confrontations--on her part--along with many misunderstandings. She excused herself and bid her guests eat--if they still could--and left to go after the only one of the troublemakers she could possibly get away with scolding... Gal. Gal was a soldier, after all, and that meant that even in retirement, she was of a higher rank than him. She caught his arm and dragged him into her billiard room on the second floor. The room was warm with books lining the walls and a worn billiard table in the center. She shut the door and when she turned around, her eyes were completely black as they had always been whenever she was furious at anybody. They reflected no light, but seemed to absorb it like two black holes on her face. "Do you have any idea how foolish and unprofessional you were just now? You have no idea how lenient I am in deciding to let you keep your head. If you had caught me at any time worse than this, your punishment would have gone very far past this conversation we are currently having." she fumed.

Adrian's hand turned into a fist as that demon b*****d attached his mistress. He settled for imagining the demon's death in so many harsh, tortuous ways... he may have accidentally smiled at one point. But he could see his mistress was having a difficult time now. He wanted so badly to put his hand on hers under the table. He wanted to comfort her. He wanted to give her a look that she would be able to interpret as, "It's alright. Don't worry about him." ... But to his eternal disappointment, he knew he would never be able to achieve that for her. So, instead, he just said, "Mistress, please don't worry." Yes, that was good.

Gal got up from the floor and didnt make much of an indication that he cared.
Gal: as i said to that man in the dinning room, he has his own reasons for doing what he does and as well do i. If i bother you with my words and my opinions then i will stay quiet for the entire time i am here. i am a soldier.
he started to show his anger for a second and then hid it again.
Gal: that creature that is in your court is just like the others. i have lost a lot because of their kind but, for you, i will treat her like any other person in this court. For you i will be a stone wall. Strong and unfeeling. i wont hold any feelings toward any of them.....but, if any of them show that they have a problem with me i will not hesitate to take my anger out on them.
he bowed respectfuly.
Gal: you have my word as a soldier.
he now had no facial expression and didnt show any emotion any more.
