You're right in saying it isn't as "strong" as Chobits. Chobits emphasized the fact that Chi was a machine a lot more (though ZK does touch the topic at least every volume, even if it is subtle).
I just hope the android storyline doesn't get overused too much.

Wakaiba I completely aggree, but the series isn't as strong as Chobits. The overall concept is being copied by other artists too. (Dears, anyone?) You shouldn't talk like CLAMP invented the whole idea of androids as humans. This concept has been used for a long while know. If you want to give the credits to someone, it's Azimov's. And only because CLAMP used it, doesn't mean that Watase is coping them. Also, Zettai Kareshi was somewhat like Appare Jipangu!: mainly written for comical purposes. And for the sake of fanservice and a normal romantic storyline. The "dramatic complications" only appear in the last two volumes, and in a really different way from Chobits. Night is mainly treated as a human in the whole series, while Chii always was treated as a robot. And really, the ideas Watase had for Zekkare were much more innovative than CLAMP's for Chobits.

I vote for Night b/c they are so cute together! And he cares for her! He told her if she couldn't get 1,000,000 dollars he would go back and make a deal with the guy I forgot his name so yeah... But Soushi cares to... man is this hard.... confused

Night! Night! He's so hot and loves her more than anything! He still remembered her even though he was suposed to lose all memories of her! She has to end up with him...i know that everyone is going to respond to this and say that Shoushi loves her too, and i know he does, but he's known her for sooo long and he's waited until now to tell her. I mean she's been rejected by way too many guys, shousi had plenty of times to comfort her and to tell her how he feels...and she has Night now and now shoushi just confesses to her...i love shousi, but sometimes he just annoys me... and that's why she should end up with Night.

I'm not sure when in the series this was and it may not have come out in America yet, but what about the time when he was supposed to forget about Riiko but he still remembered her? Despite the programming that was made to delete all memory of former owners. Therefore it's entirely possible that Night does love Riiko for Riiko, and not just because of his programming. I still like Soushi more than Night, but I can see why people would choose for Night to end up with Riiko rather than her with Soushi.

...I meant that specific part of it. Not the book, or the series. I'm entirely aware that it's being released in America, seeing as I live in the U.S. But I read scans some months ago, before it was licensed, and I don't know if that part's out in the U.S. yet, since I don't follow it right now.

Riiko should end up with Soshi! He totally loves her and obviously knows and cares about her very much. Night, on the other hand, is yes, just a "doll" or whatever he is, and his qualities are characteristics Riiko chose out, right? But still, he's a good guy and boyfriend. whee
But I still think she should go with Soshi. -hehe- I always root for the guy who likes the girl but doesn't want to admit it..or the guy who is the obvious one for her. biggrin
