Mirela is so much her mother's daughter. She has a talent for the magical arts, like the rest of her sisters, but Mirela's strengths go beyond mere talent. She enjoys using her magic, and she uses it sometimes rashly and at the expense of others. While this would have worried Lady Eliza some years ago, now she sees Mirela as perhaps her greatest weapon.

Nadya make look a lot like her mother, but she is beginning to see she is really nothing like her. Nadya does not understand the need to destroy, not even for revenge or, as her mother sometimes puts it "Justice." Nadya would rather focus on the good and sees the world as full of endless wonder and renewal. Nadya's power comes from her optimism and faith in the world as a whole. Lady Eliza doesn't understand where she gets it, but she thinks Nadya's healing powers could one day be to her advantage, so she lets Nadya think want she wants of the world, even though Lady Eliza knows better.

Michelle is not as talented as her sisters. And that's putting it kindly. As of yet, she has failed to perform the simplest of spells without some kind of mishap or unintentional side effects. It amazes Lady Eliza that the child has not yet killed herself in her sorry attempts at Gypsy Magic. Michelle knows her sisters are better and wiser than she, but she tries very hard to be the kind of gypsy her mother could be proud of. It's quite difficult when you ruin everything you touch, though. With Michelle's luck, she'd end up helping the monster her mother always talks about instead of killing him like her sister Mirela wants to do.
