"He Tick likes heads. Apparently Tick yours was fluffy enough to meet his Tock standards of nesting. Or your Tick hair is yellow enough to look like straw, and Tick thus the perfect nesting material." She nods, as if her words were pearls of wisdom. Cupid coos, settling down into Altair's hair.

She blinked a few times. "Oh." Well then. She reached up to pat at the bird on her head, then stopped, eyes going wide. "He won't poop on my head will he?!" She seemed utterly horrified at the possibility. Bird poo on her head? She'd have to go home immediately!

Phyl gave her an incredulous look "You're Tick his new nest, why would he Tock excrete on his living space? he Tick would have to find a new one!" She shakes her head, clicking her tongue in disappointment.

Well, she did have a point... "I don't really know anythin' about birds." Altair shrugged a little and then plopped down in the sand. "How come you're ticking like a clock?" She quirked a brow and tilted her head, forgetting about Cupid for a split second before righting her head again.

Cupid pecks her gently; as if chastising her for moving. Phyl just shrugs the question off "I dunno Tick. Feels Tock natural. Why does Tock your hair look like straw? Why Tick bother asking silly questions?" She sits down in the sand "It's just the way Tock things are, no point questionin it."

Phyl shrugs, reaching for Cupid and whining. Cupid fluffs up his feathers, finally nesting in Phyl's lap. "I dunno who any of those Tick people are. are Tick they nice?"

She blinked, and giggled a bit. "I wouldn't tihnk you would... Papa and Mama are my parents! And Kindle is my twin sister." She nodded a little. "Uhh... Papa is grumpy all the time but he's nice...... sort of... Mama is really nice, and so is Kindle." She nodded again. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

Phyl hugs Cupid, frowning slightly "Nuh-uh. I don't need Tick them. As long as Tick Cupid is here, I don't need anyone." It seemed more like she was trying to convince herself than Altair. She does however throw Altair an intimidating glare, as if daring her to question otherwise.

Altair felt a shiver run up her spine and the hairs stand up on the back of her neck, but she was accustomed to glares... Her father was Deskri, after all. She'd seen her fair share of death inducing stares, though they weren't ever directed at her... this felt different though.
"Oh. Well... I guess if you don' need 'em you don' need 'em." She shrugged a little. "I never met anyone without parents though. You must get to do whatever you want, huh?" She grinned.

This only served for Phyl to harden her glare, until she realized that she was letting her temper get the best of her. She shakes her head, looking away "No. They made me live in the dorms and be Tick taken care of by the dummy Tick Elder. The jerkface shoves Tock a bunch of stupid stuff in my room and I Tick can take care of myself."

Altair frowned a little. "But sometimes its nice to have someone to go to?" She shrugged a little. "I dunno I think its nice to get taken care of sometimes... 'cept sometimes it gets annoyin'. My Papa is really overprotective most of the time." She siiiighed loudly. "He won' even let me 'n Kindle go off campus."
