ugh. really bad story with this one. :/
our band director that has been teaching at the school for 10 years is moving to another school and he set an amazing show for this year.
it was Rhapsody in Blue and Green (our school colors)
it included: rhapsody in blue, some other song, and bohemian rhapsody
but then our new directer came along and changed it to:
War and Peace. D:
wtf is that? and its definitely not what our school is used to playing on the field.

our band director had some kind of brain fart cause we have to play the theme song for baseball at a football game talk about retarded

MusicIsLyfe104 ours is "Rock Anthems" Rock 'n Roll All Nite (Kiss), Who Are You? (The Who), and Come Sail Away (Styx) Haha! That's our band's theme too! We're also doing Come Saila Away, but instead our other two songs are Livin' On a Prayer (Bon Jovi) and You Shook Me All Night Long (ACDC)

dragonblade629 SPHS is considering Nightmare Before Christmas (I know, epic!) but I;m trying to push for a show I put together from individual songs, all of it being 80s Sunset Strip Glam Metal. I did Nightmare when I was a Sophomore ^^ Epic show, especially when it sounds great.

Alchemic Kraehe This year's show is going to be themed Fate of the Gods. At least, that's what the song we're basing it off is called. Our Wind Ensemble played Fate of the Gods, and everyone fell in love with it.
The best part about this is that our band director is writing the movements and the drill. I'm so excited! I'm so jealous O.O we were considering playing it either my Junior or Senior year. Sure, we played an awesome Jazz show (Go Daddy-O, Zoot Suit Riot, Harlem Nocturne, and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy) junior year and Jekyll and Hyde Senior year, but that would have been awesome.

NeoRaptor99 Music from Avatar is what we are doing so, one of the colorgaurd said no i refuse to be dyed blue ok ill do sparkles the black stripe across the eyes becoming a highlighter but no i will not be blue lol ahaha that's our show too biggrin the guard is gonna be in blue spandex or something like that

we are supposed to be doing a latin theme, btu one of the songs doesn't make sense: Poker Face (Lady Gaga. the one that doesn't make sense) Sway (Micheal Buble) Legend of the One Eyed Sailor (I'm not sure who it's by) but next year we are supposed to be doing a "Bad" theme. Bad by Micheal Jackson Bad Romance by Lady Gaga and something else...that starts with "bad"

Our show theme is "American Landscapes" from what I was told.
(I believe it's all by Aaron Copland.)
The opener is "The Promise of Living" and then it goes on to something else, I'm not sure but I think it's "Appalachian Springs".
Our ballad is "Down a Country Lane", and we don't have the closer yet.
But I love the opener, it's just how the drum line comes in (It's pretty boss) and then everyone starts to get louder, it gives me "goosepimples" (Its how our band director put it: "Now, didn't that just give you at least one goosepimple?!?!")

❝ This year is my freshman year in high school, and the theme is Pyramids of Egypt. It's a lot of fun to listen to/play, and the drill isn't difficult, just impossible to clean. I'm enjoying myself doing it, while getting burned from the sun and heat. I've already been in band camp for two weeks now, the first week being 13 hour days, and the second week only 6 hour days. From now until school starts, we only have rehearsals from 6-9 at night. Phew.
Last year, when I was a banner carrier, the theme was Styx and the band did Mr. Roboto, The Best Of Times, and Too Much Time On My Hands, all by Styx. Wow, was that fun. : ) ❞ ╚══════════════╝

Our marching band show this year is Jazz theme.
We are so excited because we are doing 2 marching competition this year and our band just moved up 2 classes.
My band hasn't been to MSBOA's marching competition in quite some time, and we are super excited!!!!
