 The Dungeon Master
All Knowing | All Powerful | Really Annoying at Times...
When you touch the tile, for the short time your finger was in contact with the mirror, you feel an intense cold which sends a shiver through your entire body. Simply hovering your hand over the tile would reveal nothing at all, but upon touching it, you realize that the tile's convex mirror surface is bone-chillingly freezing.
You don't hear anything of interest though.

The spit doesn't last very long on the tile as it seems to simply roll off the surface and drops right back down onto your face before you begin your descent to the ground.

[Eww, I was hoping that it would just freeze to it. Your pm makes me want to hit myself. I don't know if I should go back to the scroll or the tile XD]
"Argh!"Deil wipes the spit off of his face as he lands on the ground. "Guys, the tile is only cold if we touch it. Everything else stays the same. Maybe the tile is only a detraction, and we need to focus more on the light. Maybe the light has a message, but it cannot be seen just reflecting everywhere. Deil pulls his scroll back out, and unrolls it. He then holds it parallel to the light to see if a message appears.
[Omg, I think I know where a clue is! The back of the tile I picked up O.O]

CONGRATULATIONS!
...the back of the scroll shimmers with a feint green glow, but nothing out of the ordinary is spelled out or written on the scroll in any way, nor can you find any message from the light in any other form of reflection or angle. Like so many lights before it, this one seems to simply be...a light, except that it's green.

Disappointed, Deil puts the scroll away. The answer is probably in the shape of the light. Maybe kuni have something to do with it. Deil jumps back up to the different tile, this time giving the tile a quick jab with a kuni where the spot of where the light comes out on the spot below would be. While he is up there, he also looks at the edges of the tile and looks for any more cracks like the one on the floor.

In a moment of complete shock, the instant the kunai struck the ice tile, all of the members in the room felt an extreme disorientation as it began to seemingly spin rapidly. the room suddenly grew incredibly cold as everyone finally gained there bearings and looked around to see that the room had morphed into a frigidly cold ice cavern. The walls were sheets of Ice, as large stalactites hung from the ceiling, and the floor was covered in crisp white snow. The air was freezing, and the warm breath from your mouths became quickly visible, practically freezing in the air as it was released. After a few seconds of bitter cold nothingness, you all stare around at the wonder and beauty of the rooms transformation, which seems to have grown in size substantially, about 100ft by 100ft.
 All of the serene peacefulness of the room came crashing down suddenly however as you heard an incredible roar come from the side of you. turning in shock you all see an enraged Manticore charging directly for you. Kicking up snow violently, and crushing a nearby stalactite to pieces as it leaps towards Deil, to swipe at, and or rake and bite him.

It's about twice your size, if not larger. it has the general dimensions of a cougar, but in this case, is about twice the size of that, and the tail has about a 10 foot reach behind it and a 3 foot reach in front of it.

Deil saw the beast lunge, and reacted on instinct. Deil lunged to the left to dodge the animal, throwing the kuni in his hand at the beast's face as he did so. Deil's squad members jumped the opposite direction and hid behind a stalactite.

Taya rolled into action, pulling a sword from Torch Boy as she waited to see if Deil's attack actually did anything. If it didn't she was read to burst into an attack.

[I know! I'm so glad we finally got out of there!
Technically I was not following squad rules by doing all that on my own, but, whatever. You are now back in command, unless you want to give it to someone else. The good thing is that we are the first to get to this stage! smile
The bad news: its only a matter of time before meta-gamers read our solution, and we are no longer special. O.o So I hope Cobra gets on soon so we can kill this thing twisted ]
