Kai jumped slightly when Brooklyn yelled and looked appeasingly at Tyson and Max. Why're they just standing there? Why don't they help? He wondered before looking at Brooklyn, catching the other in the eyes and refusing to let go of his hold. "About six months." He said carefully, forcing himself to watch as something in Brooklyn's eyes broke and the orange haired teen looked away.
"Right then." He said quietly. He reached into his pocket to pull out the scrap of paper he knew was hidden in it. He held it between two fingers in each hand and ripped the piece of paper in two, letting them go to float to the ground separately. He watched them hit the ground and stared at them for a few seconds before turning on his heel and walking away, dashing stray tears out of his eyes.

Tala watched, confused, as Brooklyn ripped up the piece of paper. He looked at Kai, questioningly.
Her looked back at Brooklyn as he walked away and opened his mouth to say something but closed it again. Acting like a fish for the second time that day. He let go of Kai's hand and walked over to the ripped piece of paper.
"Well, that was um...."
He was at a loss for word he bent down and picked up the pieces looking at them. A look of puzzlement crossed his face as looked at the paper.

Kai blinked and followed Tala to look at the piece of paper. He looked at the picture of Tala's head ripped into two and frowned. "What?" He asked simply. He shook off his confusion when practicality came into play. "Someone needs to go after him." He told Tala, looking up the hallway that Brooklyn had left by. He looked across at Tyson and Max. "And I don't think it should be either of us. I think he's had enough of us for one day."
Brooklyn continued to walk down the hall, wiping away tears sporadically, and moving over to the side of the hallway to kick a locker/drink tap/bin/etc whenever he felt the need to damage something. Mostly he ended up damaging his own toes. This only made him angrier with himself Why didn't I see it? He wondered as a kicked a bin over.

Tala sighed and stood up, puting the pieces of paper in Kai's hand.
"Enough of us is an understatement. We'd have to have a death wish to go after him."
He ran a hand through his hair, he realized he did when he was stressed out. He looked over and Tyson and max before looking back at Kai.
"Well, that went better than i expected," he said with a smile, trying to lighten the mood.

When Kai received no reply from Tyson and Max he sighed. "Death wish or no death wish I think one of us has to go after him. And to be honest I really don't want to do it. He smirked at Tala's attempt. "What? You expected there to be nuclear warfare too?"
Brooklyn sat down next to a secluded tree near on of the school buildings. He always came here to think. The difference today was that he didn't want to think. Especially not about that He had just begun to realise what that strange fuzzy feeling in his gut had been whenever he had seen Tala. Now Kai had to ruin it for him. Brooklyn let his head flop backwards on to the tree with an audible thump.

((if so i could just bring in another character. oc or cannon. give you a break from doing two all the time, as talented as you are ^^))
"Weapons of mass destruction, nerve gass, all of that." Tala laughed half heartedly and sighed.
"But you're right. Someone has to talk to him. Just who is going to do that is the question now."
Tala looked in the direction that brooklyn had left.

((okies - the falcon it is. although i think my oc character would've had fun being generally annoying *evil laugh* ok, forget i said that and moving on. im assuming that school is out, since people are wandering around, yep.))
Bryan walked down the corridors, dodging the few people that were hanging around there. School was finished but many students were at the other end of the school, going home, staying to complete projects that were late. This side was quieter, the way Bryan liked it.
Many people feared Bryan, not that he had done anything to gain that statis. He tried to avoid people at all costs. The one time that someone had decided they were brave enough to try and befriend him, they ended up with a giant bruise on one side.
Well, yes, they were annoying him but he didn't have any idea they were standing next to his locker when he opened it.
He sighed and turned around the corner of the school building and raised his eyebrows at the orange-haired teen sitting next to a tree.

Kai sighed and hugged Tala to his side. "I'm sorry" He murmered to Tala, burying his head in the softness of the other's hair. "I screwed up. If I'd just been honest with Brooklyn we wouldn't be here."

Tala smiled softly and rubbed the others back soothingly. "Sshh, it's ok. Things will work themselves out, i promise. You didn't screw up, we screwed up. If we hadn't decided to flirt in class, if we had of just gone to the office, none of this would have happened either."
Tala sighed.
"It would have happened in the end anyways. Guess we'll just have to leave the rest to fate until we can come up with some idea to make things beter."

Kai only half listened to Tala, picking up on one word. "s**t!" He said loudly, before remembering that the school probably wouldn't approve of language. "The office!" He said quieter. "We forgot to go to the office!" He looked once again down the hall that Brooklyn had ran down. "s**t and double crap." He muttered before turning in the opposite direction and heading toward the office, his hand seeking out Tala's and dragging the redhead along.
Brooklyn angrily wiped away the tears that had begun coursing down his face. He hated this. He hated that Kai hadn't said anything to him. He especially hated that Kai had lied to him. He didn't have many friends but he was damn sure that lying to your friends was generally accepted as being not good. Brooklyn let his hands trail along the mess of dirt and fallen leaves beside him. His hand hit a sharp stick and he hissed in pain, looking at his hand to see that the stick had drawn blood. great. just great

"Ah, ok then," Tala said as he was dragged along.

Bryan raised an eyebrow at Brooklyn before shrugging and continuing to walk.
It's none of your business, just keep walking.
He stopped mid-step when he heard the hiss of pain. Sighing he turned around to face Brooklyn.
Damn, curiosity.
"You okay?"

"Do I look ok to you?" Brooklyn asked sulkily as he continued to stare at the blood coming out of his hand. He shook the offending limb, to what purpose was beyond him. "Just leave me alone." He picked up the stick that had injured him and examined it.

Kai stopped in mid step. "Screw it." He said. "Schools out. I Don't care." He began walking in the other direction, still dragging Tala along and chanting that he didn't care as some sort of mantra.
Inwardly he cringed at himself. He was acting like a crazy person. And yet he couldn't stop himself. He shivered to think about what Tala was thinking about his behaviour

No need to think about what Tala thought of his behaviour. The red head usually spoke his mind anyway.
"Um, Kai? You do realize you're acting a little crazy and that's my job."
He smiled at the other teen, amused.

Bryan raised his eyebrows at the outburst. He had no idea who this kid was, but if he was in a bad mood he wasn't getting involved. He grunted a resonse and turned around.
"Whatever, not like i'm the school therapist, anyways.Oh and watch out fo the sticks around there."
He looked over his shoulder at the other teen.
"They have a nasty bite."

Brooklyn turned around to glare at Bryan's retreating back. He looked at the stick in his hands as a half-baked idea formed in his mind. He looked back again at Bryan's back and took careful aim before throwing the stick as hard as he could so it hit Bryan in the middle of his back, pointy end first. "I noticed."

Kai turned back to look at Tala, a look of confusion all over his face. "Can you tell me how I'm supposed to act?" He asked sincerely, looking at his red haired lover to see if he could find some answers in his face. "Do you know?" He asked desperately.
