Joe completely stopped his attack for two reasons. One, Kyle's spear flew by him, having gotten kicked up in the storm, and while it had no real chance of actually hitting him, it was loud and a kind of what the hell moment. The other reason was Kyle. [Cue Music: What's Up, People!?] Joseph's eyebrow ticked, his blank face turning into a frown. "...WHAT?!?!" Joe raged, and feeling Kyle's charge, leaped up into the height of the sandstorm, which suddenly seemed to quiet a bit, before Joe assaulted the dragoon with wind bullets and wind blades. And if he tried to vault out? Joe would spam Chinooks to bring his happy a** back down.

{Cue: Evacuate the Dance Floor -Ultrabeat Remix-} Kyle grinned as he plunged straight through the air, missing Joe as the other teen leapt away. Oh well! That just gave him a clearer shot to escaping the sandstorm (which, he noted, seemed to dull the moment Joe was caught off guard by Kyle's comment). As his Charge continued forward, he felt the bullets and blades at his back. Virgo's Verso, though near it's end, was still active, meaning as Kyle was launched out of the dust cloud, he was still being healed.
Immediately dispelling his spear, he fell forward onto his hands and twisted his body into a front flip; from there, he merely continued to twist and turn, contorting his body every which way until he was out of the storm, smiling like a giddy child. Heck, he even laughed, but not out of arrogance or pride- he was honestly having a blast at this point. The atmosphere of the beach, the constant barrage of the sea breeze manipulated by Joe-
This was why he wanted to fight here. Win or lose, he was going to have a damn good time.
Sure, there was a little strategy behind his actions. The laughter would certainly piss Joe off even more. And angry Joe, as proven in this case, wasn't hesitating to waste his magical energy in broad attacks with a chance to hit, instead of precise, opportune strikes that had a guarantee. Joe wasn't quite as magically inclined as Kyle- if he kept wasting his energy like this, he'd be out soon.
Which was good, because Kyle was nearing his energy limit as well. Sixteen Stars, a large cloud of Cosmic Dust, a Vault, a Charge, a few Neutrons, and hell, the Verso to top it off. If worse came to worst, Kyle could simply absorb the Stars out on the field to replenish the energy each cost, but he wasn't planning on that.
Out on the clear shoreline, Kyle continued his evasive maneuvers, flipping and twisting around and, in brief intervals, 'dancing' out of the way of attacks. The constant explosions of wind would knock him over, doing some minor damage (the Verso had run out after the last successful Blade knocked him out of the storm), but those gusts of wind would only give him additional momentum in his flips and spins. If anything, Kyle was using the wind to keep his evasion going strong.
"Ooh, close!" he shouted as one of the blades narrowly passed his shoulder as he fell to the side, doing a hand-stand and flipping over as he did. As strategic as this all was, Kyle could hardly call it intentional- he was just having a fun time, and the adrenaline was just pushing him further. The taunts and almost constant laughter might make Joe waste more energy, sure, but Joe's rage could very easily spell out Kyle's defeat.

Joe stood there in the middle of the slowly quieting sandstorm, breathing heavily. Oh, yes, he was being mocked, and was getting so irritated. He was trying his best, damn it! [Cue Music: Heavy Metal] Joseph let out a roar. He wasn't going to lose after that! The sandstorm picked back up, and Joe charged towards Kyle, the sandstorm acting as cover as he dashed forward, arcing wind blades to go above and come at the dragoon from the sky. Suddenly, Joe had the magic in the sandstorm rush Kyle, bringing the sand with it, surrounding him, and as he came up at Kyle full speed, he reached out with a hand. If his 'rage' attack worked, the fighter would have the battle mage by his neck, and would leap into the air, then plummet with Kyle beneath him, landing on him knees first, before flipping off and landing once more, then flipping off and blasting the male repeatedly with air bullets to send him flying off into the distance or further into the ground. If it didn't work? Well, at least he wouldn't be raging as bad.

Aww, hell.
Kyle was able to maneuver away from the arced wind blades, sensing their magic trails. However, the massive wave of magic was unblock-able as the sand rushed his way, blinding him momentarily. He stuck up his arms to block any attacks, but Joe had managed to see around that...
... and grabbed his neck.
Aww, HELL NAW.
Immediately, even in the middle of the assault, Kyle was enveloped in a bright, burning light, definitely enough to hurt Joe's hand as he gripped Kyle's tender neck. The attack went through, and did a rather significant amount of damage. As each air bullet pushed him further into the sand, the Divine Intervention was worn away, turning into Cosmic Dust that surrounded him.
When the attack was over and done with, all was silent... for a moment. The teen currently buried under a somewhat significant amount of sand pulled himself up into a sitting position and coughed, glaring at Joe. The sandstorm was gone, so he could clearly see his opponent now.
{Cue: Administrator}
"You know, I'd planned to ask you to surrender," Kyle asked, his tone now anything but entertained. He managed to get up to his feet without any sign of pain (all the while mentally screaming in pain-rage), and the Cosmic Dust that had settled around him was quickly absorbed for a not-quite-insignificant portion of health return. "But then you went and grabbed my neck. So @#$% that."
It was at that point that Joe would have heard a light humming surrounding him on all sides. The 16 Starlights had all seemed to gather, having surrounded both the fighters in a circular dome-like structure of spheres, with different numbers of stars in different horizontal rings. These rings began to revolve around the two combatants, faster and faster until they reached a nice, quick pace, releasing the strange humming noise.
Kyle's arms began to glow with a familiar golden light as he twisted his body somewhat to the side, giving Joe one side as he lowered somewhat. He snapped his fingers- and all 16 Starlights began to open fire, firing rapid shots of weak-but-precise Holy fire, like hovering turrets of energy. On cue, Kyle Radiant-Charged forward, kicking up a massive sand cloud behind him as he assaulted the distracted bo-staff wielder.
If the staff wielder was sufficiently distracted enough that Kyle was able to get close enough? The dragoon would attempt a powerful, blunt punch to Joe's gut, followed by an elbow to the face with the same arm, then followed by a leg sweep, finished with an elbow to the ribs to knock Joe into the sand.
If he missed? Kyle would just follow him anyway; the cannons would be around for awhile. They weren't a strain on his energy, since they'd already been put out- they were self-sufficient at this point. He was done screwing around.

Joe was angry still, oh yes. But it was controlled now, thanks to the pain in his hand that Kyle caused. Now it went internal, becoming dark and cold...
"Turrets?"
Joe watched Kyle snap his fingers and charge, and Joe dashed to the dome's edge, getting hit by about three shots when at the wall, then dove through one of the holes, getting shot once more in the bottom of his shoe.
Damn, gotta be fast.
The fighter sprinted at full speed to the shore, leaped up, then dove under the water, his air automatically make a small bubble around him so he could breath as he swam down and settled on the floor of the ocean, crouched and waiting to see what happened for this tactic, and how to work it to his own advantage with the now sixteen turrets and angry Kyle after even the slightest trace of him.

Kyle growled as he stopped at the edge of the dome, immediately raising his hand to tell the turrets not to waste their energy; as he did, the glow on his arms also vanished, saving a good bit of energy on that. The bullets stopped, having no trace of a target, and merely went back to revolving, this time at a much slower pace, allowing Kyle to get back through and into the center.
He was low on energy. Some of the blasts that had been meant for Joe ended up hitting him, and those had restored a nice portion of health, but he still wasn't at full capacity, to be certain. Joe was likely lower on energy than he was, but that didn't help much at all, considering Kyle had barely made a hit on the bo-wielder.
He's too fast. I tried to surround him, but even then only a few of the bullets hit. He didn't guard, so they were able to do a bit more damage, but nonetheless...
After reaching the center of the Star Dome, Kyle turned to face the sea, summoning his spear to plant in the sand beside him yet again. Holding up one hand, he absorbed one of the highest Starlights, converting what energy was left back into personal mana. He took a deep breath, and then another. If it was a waiting game Joe wanted, Kyle would play.
Besides, he has to come out of the water. He can't burrow. Just keep an eye on the water...

[Cue Music: Underwater Ruins] All Joe did on the sea floor was crouch, and contemplate. Calm, think, focus. What can I do from here? What can I use?Looking around, all Joe saw was water, fish, sand, and coral. Not much...though something swam by than made him smile. Joe picked up some coral, carefully, of course. No point cutting himself on it just to use it, and lobbed it out of the water at Kyle, using wind to cut through the water ahead of it, and to propel it as well, till it was out of the water and flying on it's own. He did this for a few more large pieces, before swimming towards his preferred object. Grabbing it by the base of it's tail, Joe twirled around in the water to gain momentum, before lobbing the creature with many teeth out of the water and at the shore with as much speed and strength as he could muster, using the same wind method with the creature as he did with the coral(with just a tad more oomph). Oh, yeah, Joe just threw a freaking shark at his opponent. He also swam away from that spot in case Kyle started to fire at it.

As random pieces of coral began to erupt from the sea, Kyle parted the dome to allow for things to pass, just in case something set off a Starlight, thus ruining his chances. The coral chunks were relatively easy to dodge, considering there was a loud splash any time another piece left the water. However, after a few of them, there was a moment of silence, and Kyle's eyes narrowed.
What is he trying to pull...?
As if to answer his question, there was another splash, and this one was much bigger... as was the object in question. Kyle's eyes widened, one somewhat larger than the other as the shark came flying his way. Kyle leapt to the side and watched as the shark bounced off the sand once, landing on its side.
Kyle watched the thrashing shark for a moment before closing off the dome once again, walking over to the creature. It easily twisted itself until it was on its belly, and began to gasp somewhat- the thing needed water. It wasn't like a whale or a dolphin, which could breathe air normally.
Now he's just screwing around.
Taking the shark by its tail (and very, very thankful for the gloves, as a shark's 'flesh' was more like tiny razor teeth), Kyle charged his arms with Holy energy (Making me waste my MP, the b*****d) and began to twist, around and around, until he had the momentum to toss the shark back into the water where it came (opening and closing the dome for its passing).
The resulting loss of weight caused Kyle to immediately fall on his side as the holy energy disappeared. He picked himself back up, glaring out at the ocean. How much longer could Joe hold that bubble?

Joe let out a sigh as he realized how small his bubble of air was. He had spammed so much magic...
This is it...Let's finish this, I guess.
Joseph took a deep breath. His last charge. He wouldn't be able to do much more after this, so he not only had to make it count, but they couldn't break away anymore. Grappling would work if need be.
Walking forward, Joe consciously pulled back his air and lost his bubble. He'd need as much magic as he could.
Once he felt he was close enough, and still managing to stay submerged, the wind fighter braced himself, then made a wind boosted jump out of the water and into the air.
Air Stepping while upside down, the male his staff at the dragoon, in case a damn starlight was in his way, and followed after it. If it all went well, he'd not only make it to Kyle, but also be inside the dome and fighting as hard as possible, through punches and kicks while hopefully not getting blasted too bad by the turrets.

There was a final splash as Joe lifted himself up from the sea into the air, and on cue, Kyle threw his arms open wide, parting the dome dramatically, as if to welcome Joe (and his staff) in. Kyle hopped backward to dodge the bo-staff, watching as it stuck in the ground. When Joe followed after, Kyle immediately pulled his arms in front of him, crossing them across his chest both to take the first blow or two, as well as to close the dome behind him.
As Kyle's arms once more glowed a light gold, he moved to enter the fight, hopefully trading blows with Joe. His attacking speed wasn't quite on par (though, with the glowing enhancement, his strength was even with Joe's), but his reflexes made up for that, aiding in his own hit-and-evade attempts.
To aid in this matter, 7 of the hovering Stellar Ray Cannons exploded into Cosmic Dust, immediately coagulating in the center of the dome, hopefully blinding Joe; his air sense may have revealed Kyle's location, but the Cosmic Dust did the same for Kyle, making them even in the ring of senses. The remaining 8 began to once more spin rapidly, firing off ray after ray of Holy Light into the Cosmic Dust, unaffected by the blinding dust due to its tracking properties.
Specifically, Kyle once more attempted a leg sweep, followed by a twist into a spinning-top hand-stand kick.

Joe might not've been able to see, but his air sense kicked into gear. He had his eyes closed and could still tell where Kyle was and what he was doing.
Forcing himself to ignore the blasts that were hitting him, he focused on Kyle. Leg sweep, easily hopped over, but the top kick was harder.
Joe let his forearm take the blow from one of the legs, then reacted by wrapping that arm around it and bending back in an effort to slam Kyle into the ground, a la Kirby suplex. If that worked, he'd flip back, still attached to the leg, and swing around to deliver a kick to Kyle's chest.

For a moment, Kyle felt accomplished, having caught Joe. That didn't last long, as he was quickly pulled over Joe and forced onto the ground with a nice grappling move. Kyle's mind raced as he tried to figure out what to do next; the dust, however, allowed him to sense the coming kick to his chest.
Kyle's immediate response? A reflexive Banish spell straight at Joe's coming location. If the fighter was knocked somewhat upward and back by the force-push type attack, Kyle would quickly jump to his feet and fire off two separate Banishes at the location of the fighter, hoping to catch the speedster in a moment of recovery with the weak-but-fast attacks.
Otherwise? Well, he was getting a damn kick to the chest, wasn't he?
The cannons will be down soon... gotta make this quick.

Sure, the banish hit, but Joe refused to let go of Kyle's leg. No, grappling at this point was his strength, his upper hand. No way was he letting go without a damn good fight.
The kick, which had been aimed for the center of the chest, but with the banish hitting, it hit between Kyle's side and his chest with less force than intended, and Joe hoped the momentum left in the kick helped him force Kyle up in the air by the leg, and then slamming him back down, face first, into the ground, with a good grip still on Kyle's leg.
I can NOT let go!

Kyle grunted as the kick landed on his side, a scowl featured on his face; at least, until Joe decided to twist him around by the leg yet again, plowing him into the ground face-first.
A face plant? Seriously?
Well, @#$% you too.
{Cue: Spirit of Motherwill [Damn the mistranslations]}
The cannons fired their last shots and vanished, but that didn't seem to matter. Immediately, all of the Cosmic Dust that had clouded the area (7 Starlights' worth, take away a little energy for the shots they fired) was sucked into Kyle, as if he was some vacuum that needed to be filled. The moment the last speck of dust was gone, there was a violent pulse of energy and a flash of blinding light. The pulse was definitely enough to dislodge Joe's grip, as if magically.
When the light diminished, Kyle's swallow was pointed directly at Joe, but it was not held by any force other than a glowing white aura. Behind it, Kyle stood in the same position that he'd started the battle in, his arms at the side, palms facing forward. However, his eyes were now a piercing indigo, his hair was a bit longer (with vibrant silver streaks); to top it off, he was covered in metallic golden armor, like a futuristic knight of sorts, a deep-green tunic cloth covering the middle of his front and back.
"Throwing my face in the sand? Really?" Kyle asked, glaring at Joe with a look that just exuded frustration. "Real mature."[[Can't find any good pictures for this one ._.]]

Joe chuckled as he stood there in front of Kyle. So, really, it came down to Kyle having to summon drive? Well, Joe was actually kinda happy that Kyle had to resort to it. But he wasn't stupid.
Energy levels are so low...I could drive, but I don't know for how long...gotta make it count.
The air around the beach seemed to start to move all at once, shifting slowly, then speeding up and surrounding Joe, who glowed in a light similar to Kyle's, except holding a greenish tinge.
The light faded, and there stood a new Joe. Hair much longer, clothes gone except for the tattered remains of his pants that seemed to take the form of a loincloth more than pants or shorts. Tattoos of lines and markings covered him head to toe like they were meant to be there, and wind seemed to exude from his very pores as he held his staff. The most prominent feature, though, would've been the pair of wings, reminiscent to Sylph's, that seemed to have grown out of his back.
He looked feral, and held that same frustration in his eyes that Kyle did.
"Two can play this game. Your move."
I can only hold it for so long...I can probably get in one good attack after Kyle does something, but that will be all...and that's if I can even pull it off.
