[[@Poppy oh noes! don't cry! *hugs* @Hikyirou HELLZ YES WE ARE biggrin ]]
Scat had been walking down the alleyways for hours, having found nothing. His ears perked when he heard screeching tires. His ears twitched, People never drive in this alley He began trotting and came closer to the source of the sound. As he came to the alley he saw something occurring on the other side of the chain-link fence. His body tensed and he rushed to the fence. Peering through it he saw Kona being chased by a few city animal controlmen, another dog latched onto one of their legs. He stared at the fence in front of him. There was a dumpster a little further back. "Hold on!" he yelled, leaping on top of it.
Kona heard a familiar voice and stopped. "Scat?!" she yipped. The second dog catcher noticed her hiding and grabbed her by the scruff of the neck. She bared her fangs and twisted violently.
Scat balanced precariously on top of the dumpster, tensing his legs. He pushed himself as hard as he could, his back paws just brushing the top of the rusted fence. He landed heavily, stumbling a little, just long enough to give Kona a chance to chomp down on the dog catcher's hand. Scat growled menacingly and snapped at the neck of the man throwing another dog into a cage. He stumbled back and Scat stood over him, barking furiously in his face. "Get out of there!" he yelled to her.
Kona clamped down harder and was thrown to the side by a swift punch to the ribs. She leapt up, her right side dragging a bit, and started running.
Scat snapped once more at the man's face, who was now incapacitated with fear. "Let's go!" he yelled to the two of them, waiting for the other female to get out of the truck.

"...My name is Silver..." Silver stated, wincing as Kipcha nudged a particularly painful broken rib. "...What exactly happened to me?..." She looked over herself and noticed that the injuries on her side were in a criss-cross pattern. That's going to make an interesting scar. she noted.

Kaya lept from the truck. "Thanks." She muttered, sprinting back to where she'd left Silver. "This way!" She called. When she reached the cement tube, she saw Silver with her eys half closed. "How is she?" She asked tiredly.

Kipcha nodded to Kaya, then answered Silver, "You've been hit by a car, seems as though you have a broken rib, probably more, but hopefully the rib hasn't punctured any organs such as your lungs." Turning her attention back to Kaya seeing that Kona wasn't with her, "Where's Kona? What happened?"

Scat jumped over the shoulders of the prone man and continued after Kona. He finally caught up to her several blocks down the street. He stopped next to her, panting with a smile. "We...made it.."
Kona was never happier to see the imposing shepherd. She nuzzled into his side. "Thanks to you" she said. She quickly pulled away and cleared her throat. "We better get back.." she said, turning her tail and leading the way.
Scat followed Kona, surprised by her show of affection. After several more minutes of walking, they came upon a construction site. "They should be in here", Kona said softly. It was now midday, and the rain clouds were completely gone, the sky was empty and pale blue, the white light shown through the slats in the wood fence closing off the site.
Kona kicked aside a loose board and squeezed inside, pushing it further to accommodate the shepherd behind her. She walked forward, looking around. She spotted the injured dog, along with Kipcha and Kaya. She trotted up, hoping the injured dog would be conscious soon. "We're back!" she yipped excitedly, "All thanks to this big lug".
Scat smiled humbly. "I'm Scat", he said, seating himself.

Kipcha's tail wagged excitedly, she was relieved to see Kona back in one peice. Looking past Kona, she could recognize the shepherd from the other night, but she hoped he wouldn't know her. "Thank you Scat," Kipcha said, now a bit more stiff. She returned her attention back to Silver, making sure the injured dog was still awake.
(Kipcha's nervous and distant around new dogs, especially male dogs, nothing personal. lol )

Silver looked at the new arrivals. She was beginning to get uncomfortable. She was a stranger and she felt like she was intruding. Her eyes slid slowly shut and her panting sounded labored. She forced her eyes to open again. "Hi... Scat..." she muttered, looking up at him. Her icy blue eyes stayed focused on the two new arrivals.

((Cr@p! You guys have been active.)) Shadow led the way down an ally to a big dumpster behind a fancy resturant. He lept onot a pile of crates and peered into the Trash. There was heaps of food scraps. There always was. This was the most important place on his territory and the only thing (apart from Trixie) worth protecting.
Trixie was unaware of the other dogs having trouble with the humans and continued nosing through some litter in a gutter.

[[lol. I know! This RP has exploded! biggrin ]]
Scat stepped forward. "If you don't mind. A few of my friends were fight dogs, I think I can help". He pressed his nose against the husky's neck. He could just feel her pulse. He inspected her side, gently resting his paw. He felt movement that wasn't supposed to happen. s**t "Alright, I'm going to need you to lie very still. I'm pretty sure a few of your ribs are broken. This is going to hurt, but we're going to have to flip you over". He backed up a bit, trying to see if there were any more apparent wounds. He nuzzled the husky's neck. "What's your name?"
Kona bristled when Scat touched the husky. He doesn't even know her She slowly let the hair on her back down, glancing side to side to make sure neither Kaya nor Kipcha saw. Kipcha seemed tense also, and Kona briefly wondered why. "And how're we supposed to make sure she doesn't move?" she asked huffily of Scat. He didn't appear to hear her. She turned her head to the side when he nuzzled her. Whatever...not like he's mine. And I sure don't belong to anyone
Scat looked to the other dogs. "If you can find a large plank of wood, we can lift her on it, and it'll keep her side straight while she heals. Unfortunately, that's only a temporary fix. Depending on how bad the breaks are, we might have to improvise some kind of splint".
Kona rolled her eyes. "I don't owe this dog anything. I helped her because I owed Kipcha. But my debt's paid now, and maybe I'll just be going".
Scat's face darkened. He walked up and put his face close to Kona's. "If you don't want to help, then you can get out. Did you notice the sign over the fence we went through? This site's been abandoned. Look at the trash everywhere. Nothing will be even thought about this place for years when the City repossesses this plot. And as of right now, I'm claiming this territory". Scat's voice dropped into a deep growl at the end of his sentence.
Kona stood her ground, even thought she was smaller than the shepherd. She huffed in his face. "Fine, oh honorable alpha." She mock bowed as an insult, then turned and began looking for a large plank. Her tail curled over her back haughtily. I don't need him....

Kipcha let out a silent sigh, Here we go, things are going downhill from here, she thought to herself as she watched Scat slowly take the alpha position, but there wasn't much Kipcha could do to stop that. Typical males, throwing around orders, this is surely to cause problems. Not wanting to be useless in the matter, Kipcha prepared to assist in rolling over the husky.
Haru trotted through the allys that threaded through the city, as he left one ally, in the corner of his eye he saw a group of men swearing as they helped each other up and into the van, each had the ever familiar white jumpsuit that each dog feared. Haru silently slipped away, coming to another ally nearby. As he sniffed around, he found a familiar smell in a makeshift den of mattresses, remembering the dog from days ago who had given him food. He crawled in, and waited for that dog to return, he wanted to at least thank her.
