(( Actually... roll to see if he shorts out the detonators. ))
Result: Yeah, I'm gonna say it happens. xd
Though the charges won't go off, of course, but they won't go off unless done manually now. ))

Alber was now next to Stryphe, hearing the last part of his conversation with Owle. Now he too was watching Owle to see what she would do next.

Quick as lightning, Truewind lashed out with tendrils of wind, slashing through the air not toward James, but toward Sey and the winged man he did not know. Finding no purchase on the the man's wings, he frowned, withdrawing the tendrils.
"Very nice, Sey." he murmured quietly.

(Um...True?
The core is with Sey. Who is cuddently covered by Allen's wings. Which are virtually immune to magic.)

((With two dice, for both of the devices? Or just one? ^^;; I'll assume one, but add I should get to add my level bonus, shouldn't I?))
EDIT: ((I'm so sorry, Crim. I got messed up because you posted while I was posting. I missed it. ><))

At which point he was shot, by a rather large, armor piercing round from the rifle James had aimed directly at him. The gun was designed to go through robots, it would probably do a little more than blow on him.
"I'm a lover, not a fighter. I'd love for you to bugger off."

And FYI For Owle, Flare and Truewind:
Stryphe, Alber (Degobah46) and Allen (The Crimson One) are still protected by these barriers.
arrow Barrier of the Saints - Deflects small projectiles (Non-magical arrows, knives, etc.) aimed at a target for a duration of 10 minutes till overpowered or broken.
arrow Curtain of Light - In a spray of sparks, a Barrier forms around the target and lessens the amount of damage a target takes from magic attacks and telekinesis (Magic missiles, explosions, mind blasts etc.) for a duration of 10 minutes or until overpowered and broken. Curtain of Light can not hold up against strong magic/telekinetic attacks and is dispelled after a major hit. The Shield can deflect weak spells or the aftershock of one but unless the caster focuses her aura directly to the area of the shield that will bear the brunt of a strong magical attack, the barrier will be overpowered and broken.
arrow Curse Refraction - A holy shield forms around a target, reflecting status effect causing spells/telekinetic attacks back at the caster. Curse Refraction cannot reflect area based status effect spells; only spells focused solely at the target which Curse Refraction has been cast. Curse Refraction is dispelled after a major hit from an offensive spell or telekinetic attack. Spell duration 5 minutes
arrow Rune Refraction - A holy barrier forms around a target, reflecting offensive spells and telekinetic attacks back at the caster. Rune Refraction cannot reflect area based spells; only spells focused solely at the target which Rune Refraction has been cast. Rune Refraction is dispelled after a major hit from an offensive spell or telekinetic attack. Spell duration 5 minutes
(( Bottom two wore off by now talk2hand ))

"You sure?" Owle asked Stryphe. "Like you said, if she fell asleep with all this going on, she must be really tired...but if you want me to." She stepped forward, towards Allen and Sey, wondering if the man would move aside for her to wake Sey. "Stryphe wants me to wake her up," Owle said.
She glanced up at James, and at True. "Whoa! James, True, what's going on?"
((Sorry it took me so long, someone called a judge and I thought I'd best try to smooth things out.))

Alber, not knowing Owle at all, was hesitant about lowering his guard. Instead he opted to follow Owle over to Sey, keeping about two feet behind her.

Allen kept still for a moment. And then, after a moment, he spoke, his voice muffled through the wall of scales.
"...if you hurt her, friend or not..."
And then, his wings opened slightly. Not enough for anything basketball sized, like the core, to be taken out but enough that Owle could reach on and wake up Sey.

Startled by the gunshot, Truewind took an involuntary step back. The Air Shield he had been holding peeled away before the bullet and popped like a bubble with an audible snap. Slashing through the air, the bullet impaled itself in the massive, mythril-bound tome with a loud crash, and Truewind bit his lip to keep from yelping.
"That was real loverly, James." he said, and responded with a blast of gale-force wind, aimed at the gunner.

"And I thought we were just going to talk," Abel rasped with a grin as the hell broke loose between the other two, "Nothing's ever easy."
He began to activate his machines again While they had pleny of time to cool down, he still had to activate the more battle centric parts of his body. As this "warm up happend" it released a wave of demonic energy from the machines. What else would you expect from machines made in hell?
Stryphe and Flare would more than likely be very sensitive to this, Owle might even remember it from when Abel used it in her mind.
