Rhys was minding his own business, arms wrapped around his wife's slender body and attractive dress when who should appear but... a raven woman? Wait, no... he'd seen her before. Kept to herself, but he was abreast of news of the Hostess Club, and so he knew her a little better thanks to that.
"Hmm?" He asked the room at large, looking up and around for an instant before finding Vika's face. "Ahh. ...Vika, right? No, I don't think we've met, but I've heard about your restaurant. Supposed to be a nice place, right?"
A proposition? What sort of proposition? Rhys wasn't too keen on leaving Amelia here when this was probably the best part, but he WAS still Hoast Klub Leader and Defender of the Night. He could spare a few minutes if it really was serious business. "Um, sure," he said, letting go of his wife. "I'll be back in a bit," he said to Amelia as Vika led him away.

Vika tried her hardest not to stare at Amelia as she led Rhys away and up the steps of the castle. What? She had a thing for dresses. And the girls who wore those dresses. And the girls--okay, Vika, you can shut up now.
She carefully led Rhys to an isolated corridor. She glanced around. The coast was clear. "Okay." She smiled. "You know about those tragic events that circulated months ago, right, where that poor girl was kidnapped and the ballroom was trashed? Well, I was thinking we'd have a fundraiser to raise money to repair the ballroom and all the damage caused. It's the perfect idea! We could donate fifty percent of the proceeds to the Eyris City Council."
"But..." Vika paused for a moment and pondered. "We need to make this interesting...some sort of rivalry so we'll bring in lots of money."

Woo, two in one~!
Oh, the woman was a proper lady, it seemed. Not too many of those, in these parts. Women of the upper crust seemed more likely do cut one to ribbons (Ayra) or bludgeon them (Isadora) and so on and so forth. But this woman, Iris, her name was, seemed definitely different.
But Rystda... Rystda... it seemed so... familiar. Rei couldn't put a finger on it, though. Just one of those nagging, back of the skull thoughts. Wouldn't do him any good to think about it.
"I'm Rei... let's just go with Rei." It occurred to him that a surname had been so unneeded that he never put much thought to remembering his. Great. "It's nice to meet you, too, Iris." He did a near-mandatory hand shake, but couldn't help but smile at it. It was kind of silly, after all. "...So, where are you from, Iris? Most of the locals are from... other lands, I guess is the easiest way to put it..." Likely, Iris didn't know much about Learania, or how people allegedly got there. If she did know much about the area, she probably would have known about the Host Club...
...what.
This was the prime reason that Sephas didn't go to social gatherings. He wasn't good at them, and weird things always happened. Like a little girl asking what kissing was like. It was ridiculous.
"...k-kissing...?" he stammered, clearly taken off guard. Still, his retreat was hampered by Amara's barnacle-like grip on his arm. "...well, I... I can't answer that, little girl." He really, really hoped that the kid would just take it at that and stop asking. Sephas wasn't too keen on elaborating on his nonexistent love life to a little child...

Rhys had a vague feeling that Vika was staring at something behind him... ah, well. Right now, he didn't feel the need to worry.
And she began. Yeah, I remember hearing something about that... something about her going all the way to Sentria, Rhys thought, having no idea whatsoever that the woman talking to him had in fact played a major role in that incident. Something about a sorceress, and a giant evil tower? He supposed it should concern him, but since she hadn't been seen anywhere recently suggested there was nothing to be concerned about.
He paused. The ballroom hadn't been hit THAT hard, had it? They were able to use the same ballroom, and nobody had complained of damages...
"Since the City Council already paid for doing that and now we'd just be replacing what they lost, right?" Rhys said, taking it in. "Yeah... yeah, that would be nice. We'd be giving to the community," he added, Bishop Senses tingling, "in a way that suits both our clubs' strengths, so how could I refuse?"
And as for the "But" part... she could be on to something. Two heads are better than one, as the saying goes. Or in this case, two clubs competing bring in more customers than one.
"Hmmmm... well, both our clubs are into looking classy and throwing the best parties we can. Maybe the winner..." He didn't have it down yet, but the wheels in Rhys' head were clearly turning with no red lights in sight. "...The winner gets to have the other club join them for a party or something, and--and... ahh, the losers should dress differently, but I'm not sure how... wait!" He shouted, as some strange inspiration struck him with a two-by-four. "The losers could wear..." he posed.
"TIIIIINY MINISKIRTS!!"
He paused for a second.
"Or at least, skimpy-ish sort of clothing. I feel like that could be something either side can work with," he added.

Its not my fault your such a moron
Derrin Hasstorn Just leave me alone ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Was he being lectured? Was this man actually lecturing.... Derrin? Well the stranger had just proven himself to be as dumb as a post.
"Firstly when you hold your finger up like that I am sorely tempted to break it, Secondly my name is not lad... it is Derrin and you will address me as such. Thirdly.... WILL SOMEONE SHUT THAT DAMN SHRILL WOMAN UP?" Derrin was to far away from the fighting but he could sure hear some girl screeching over and over again.
His scowl couldn't get any deeper but if it could...... oh boy would it ever have.
"Now I'm looking for someone... have you seen a green haired buffoon? Answers to the name Jaren?"-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feh, How annoying. Magic is my life, my soul, my heart

Hmm, was there something going on in the castle tonight? The bishop hadn't been informed of this. Then again, he hadn't been informed of very much lately, because not everyone knew that he'd returned. But, if there was a party going on - and the music seemed to point to this being the case - he'd go ahead and stop on in, say hi to a few people, mingle. That sort of thing. He started up the stairs... then paused, swishing out of the way to allow a figure to roll down the stairs past him. What a strange person. Wouldn't it be safer to simply walk down? But, the Saint shrugged, continuing on his way. Who was he to question the transport methods of others?
And here was the party, bright, loud.... and quite inviting, surprisingly. Renault didn't expect that he would want to go to something of this sort, but he rather liked the idea. He knew nearly everyone here, by now; assorted laguz, the pyro prince, Lady Melethia, his daughter - husband not in evidence, oddly - and a few he didn't know, such as the blonde in the corner, or the slightly damaged redhead near the bar. His face brightened, though, upon seeing Isadora near one edge of the room, watching over the proceedings. She looked.... honestly, rather stunning, in a dress instead of her usual armor for once. The man glanced down at himself and frowned; he supposed his robes were formal enough, but they didn't exactly fit in, did they?
However, he made his way around the crowd, slipping up behind Isadora quietly. One arm gently wrapped around her middle, pulling her back with a light motion, just so he could see her. The man gave her a light smile, and a gentle embrace. "Good evening, Isadora. I'm late, aren't I? I wasn't aware that there was going to be a celebration."

So his name's Rei? Oh, isn't that pleasant! I wonder if he would dance with me?
You wouldn't dare.
"Rei...that's such a nice name." It sounded vaguely familiar, like a name she'd read in a book or something. You know, back home. But she couldn't put her finger on it. "I hail from Etruria, in the great continent of Elibe. I am..." She giggled. "I'm rather new around here, and I'm not quite sure where I've landed. Perhaps you could educate me?" He didn't look much off from her own age, and he was charming. And, oh, they were dancing! She still had his hand within hers. "Please forgive me for stepping out of line, as I believe it is the male's position to ask this of a lady, but would you care to dance?"
oh my god I can't believe you just did that.

"I am Sorry my good boy Derrin. My name is Levail an honour and pleasure it is to meet you." he flinched as he heard as he heard the screech. "I've seen no such person. But you look like you know your place around here. Do you know where the guard station is at so that I might join?" he asked studying the short boy from head to toe.

The Druid couldn't help but smirk. She actually complimented his name, and didn't make a remark about the lack of a surname. Quite the generous move, on her behalf. Unless she didn't notice, that is. Gave Rei a little prod in the gut to look into a surname. He had to have one, right?
"Etruria?" he couldn't help but remark with a bit of awe. Not too many from Elibe around, let alone Etrurians. "Odd. I'm at least half Etrurian. Some sort of deep engrossing history, on my mother's side, I've heard..." Rei didn't want to just say 'Hey, I'm one of the kids of the old boss of the leaders of this country!' or anything. No fun in that, after all.
"I'd be glad to show you around..." he trailed off, leading her to the dance floor. "Assuming you can pick up any slack in my lackluster dancing, that is."

Roy broke away from his conversation with his Uncles and the rest of the people at the bar to go fetch Joshua's hat. In all honesty, he really wished he had some sort of light on him to just burn the thing away. Too bad he didn't bring anything to do such a thing.
He tossed the hat back to the beat up redhead before taking his seat again to continue talking to the others.

Oh, she loved the idea! "YES! Well, no. Worse than that!" Vika didn't quite want to mention that some of the employees of the Hostess Club already wore tiny miniskirts. She put a finger to her cheek, thinking a moment, her wings twitching idly as they tended to do when she was in thought. "If you guys lose, you and all your employees have to wear these really skimpy, tight underpants. And nothing else." She giggled. Banana hammock. "And if we lose...well, we'll do the same!" It was foolproof!
"I believe we're done here," she said, turning away. She had walked a few steps, and then turned around and smirked. "Just remember, no one on the outside can find out about our wager. If they did, they might slant the profits towards one of the Clubs in order to make the other lose. It stays between us..." She raised a hand and pointed between herself and Rhys. "...And our employees. No one else. If it becomes apparent that someone out there has found out, the team that leaked automatically loses." She giggled once again. "The contest ends at the end of this month. I look forward to seeing what comes of it!"
And that said, she merrily skipped on down the corridor and out of the castle.

"I've met many friends here, my wife included. It hasn't been easy around here--Eyris gets a fair share of troubles--but we've persevered and survived, and here we are!" Lethe’s feline ears tweaked as she heard this. “It’s nice to hear you’ve met good company,” she replied half-heartedly. “So I’ve experienced. This city had a bit of disorder in the past few months.”
Moments after her short conversation with Rhys ended, the hawk king began to strip just a few feet behind Lethe. The Gallian captain turned on her bare heels when she heard his deep tone. “King Tibarn!” She tried to not sound shocked to see him. Even after all the gossiping the two cats had done, Lethe was still a bit surprised to see the avian royal in Eyris. Lyre acted so casual around him. The older sister was less reluctant to be at ease.
"Where's my darling Vah? She was looking forward to a dance with her daddy tonight, or so she told me that last time I saw her." Vah? Was that the name of Tibarn’s branded child? Lethe remained silent. Her instincts were making this situation uncomfortable for her.
Just when she thought things couldn’t get more awkward, a blonde male beorc approached the three laguz like he was familiar with two of them and completely unaware of the third. Lethe could feel herself shrink from the conversation. “I’m going to get something to eat,” she said softly to her sister before walking away with her shoes still in hand.

Just when the paladin thought everything was running smoothly, she heard a commotion in the party. When Isadora looked around to see what caused the ruckus, she saw two unknown people fighting. She was about to call the guards to help her cease the fighting, but it seemed that Rei had taken care of it when he used Erebus and tossed the short brown-haired man out of the party.
Even though the situation was taken care, she couldn't help but frowned. She was unsure what was the fight about, but she was unsatisfied of their behaviors. Honestly, didn't those two know that they were ruining their holiday spirits? After all, there were some who were recovering from the battle, including herself.
Before Isadora could walked around the party, she felt something wrapped around her waist and being pulled back. If she had her weapon with her, she would have bashed the pervert with her shield. Really, people shouldn't sneak up on others liked that. The paladin was not pleased at all.
But when she turned her head around to see who it was, her body stiffed a bit before she could feel her heart jumped. She could have sworn that her heart would jumped out of her opened month.
"Renault?" Isadora spoke surprisingly when she looked at Renault's smiling face. She didn't know it was him whose arm wrapped around her, not to mention in a gentle embrace. Why was he doing that? The paladin was unsure, but she lightly blushed when she realized the situation she was in. Her heart was beating a bit faster than what it usually paced. Was it because of the position she was in? Or was it something else?
"N-no. Not really, Renault. There are still some who are coming." Isadora replied his question. Honestly, why was she fluster over this? It was not as if this was her first meeting with him or he was someone very meaningful to her than just a friend..... Could it?
"Well, we're celebrating the New Year festivals as well as Christmas. We somehow took a break after what happened before. Are you here to celebrate the festivities with us?" Isadora asked. She somehow forgot that she was still in Renault's embrace.
So one of the cat laguz had decided to part away from the group? It looked like his patience to wait had finally paid. Rajin let out a fanged smirked as he watched the departed cat headed to the buffet table. Was that a pair of shoes she was holding? He wondered why she wasn't wearing it. Eh, whatever. What matter was that he could now have a chat with her without causing a ruckus in the party.
Rajin unfolded his arms and began to stroll toward the same table Lethe was. He swiftly passed through the dancers and crowds with ease, not having to bump into or touch them. It was one of the traits that the feline was good at when being in a crowded area. They always found ways to get through the crowd without having to bump into them.
He could see that Lethe was looking over the table, trying to decide on the varieties of food. He couldn't help but let out a smirk. How amusing was it. First, the beorc clothing with shoes. And now, carefully deciding which food to choose like a beorc. Usually, laguz would choose the food that was similar to their diets like meats to the beast tribes. Really, he was enjoying this party a bit more.
"Interesting party, isn't it?" Rajin said to the cat laguz as he strolled next to her and picked up a plate. He knew quite well that it was the same laguz that the jeweler informed him. After all, she said that there were two cat laguz in Eyris. But which one: Lethe or Lyre? However, he shouldn't rush in. He didn't want to offend his fellow laguz if he approached wrongly. It took time to build up a relationship with another person and making a person disliking on the first meeting was a bad idea.
Placing the shrimp cocktail onto his plate, Rajin let out a smile to the one next to him as he let out a casual chat. "So how are you doing today?"

The bishop listened to Isadora for a moment, smile not leaving his face. It was rather nice to see one of his dear friends again, especially as it had been a while. And the last meeting.... really had not been all that pleasant. Ugh, he wished that time had never happened, to be honest. But, of course it had, he couldn't change that. What he could change was himself; it would never happen again. And he would make it up to the people he'd hurt, as best he could.
After a few moments, the bishop blinked, growing a bit confused. Isadora hadn't moved yet.... He hadn't expected her to stay so close this long. There was a slight stammer in her words, and her face.... a bit of a blush? Really? He found this both cute - the pink on her cheeks gave color to her face - and at the same time quite embarrassing. Though he hadn't directly said anything yet, his feelings towards her had been conveyed during that time.... He looked up and away for a moment, his own cheeks turning a slight pink.
"... New Year, and Christmas? That sounds like a good enough reason to celebrate in my eyes," he responded, trying to bring his mind onto something else. "Then, I will stay, it seems like this would be fun." He paused for a moment, debating; then shrugged to himself, deciding to go ahead. What could it hurt?
He stepped back from Isadora, just a step, then reached out and took her hand in his, kissing the back in a proper gesture. "Well, the music is going, and I'm standing with a beautiful woman. May I have this dance, Lady?" The smile on his face and soft twinkle in his eye showed that he likely wouldn't take no for an answer.

When Renault turned his face away, Isadora noticed his cheeks were turning slight pink. Was that a blush she saw? What was he blushing about? But as she looked down, she suddenly realized why he was blushing. It was the predicament that they were both in.
What was she to do? Surely, it was not pushing him away. That would be rude of her to do so. Besides, that would also express that she disliked him if she pushed him away. She didn't want Renault to get the wrong idea.
Isadora snapped her mind back when she heard Renault's response. "Oh, it will be fun. After all, holiday is about spending time with friends and family."
The paladin was grateful that they had friends and family to celebrate the holiday. It would be sad and lonely if celebrating alone. Surely no one would want to do that.... Well, unless someone was trying to act like Ebenezer Scrooge.
Suddenly, Isadora felt the gripped around her waist began to loosen as Renault took a step back. Although the paladin was somewhat relieved that she won't be embarrassed of the predicament she was in earlier, she couldn't help but felt a ping of longing to be in the embrace. Why did she feel like that? She hadn't felt that feeling since Harken was away. Could it be?.....
When Renault lefted her hand into his and kissed, Isadora suddenly feel her cheeks flushed again as the Saint requested to dance with her, not to mention calling her beautiful. Honestly, what was she? A maid-in-training? She was not naive and bashful like she was when she was a squire. But why was she feeling like that?
"I- I would be honored, Ranault." Isadora answered while trying to control her fluster. It had been a while since she last danced. When was the last time she danced? Oh, yes. It was on Tibarn and Ayra's wedding day. However, she couldn't help stop her heart fluttering as she let Renault leading her to the dance floor. Oh St. Elimine, what is wrong with me? Isadora thought bashfully.
