Oh dear... We did allow EamaneLinwe to come serve us in here... But I was ok with it mostly because she's interested in becoming Head Elf... sweatdrop From here on out, Elves are (I suppose) not forbidden but are requested to remain out of the Staff Room as much as possible... As this is really a place to discuss how we run classes, and, while we do a little roleplay from time to time, it's first perpose will always be to discuss ways to improve classes...

Oh and about Lizzie's second idea...
I semi-concur... I think they should be alloud to take only one other class untill we get other classes... And that they have to make the required posts to be sorted before they can enroll in that one student class... Next term We'll reinforce that...
They wouldn't exaclty go in the student list though, because they earn no points... Instead... I think I'll make a list here... (or maybe in a re-made Staff room...since, if you haven't noticed, when I delete posts the rest don't just shift up, they remain on the page they were originally posted in...hence why we have 2 pages with no posts in them...) Anyways, te list will be made and we will keep track of how many homeworks they've turned in...Once they've completed 3 homeworks with sufficient answers they will be eligible to be officially sorted early... How does that sound? That means that Teachers will be responsible to check here before accepting elves into their classrooms...

Professor Demarest comes grumbling in. "Dang Peeves," she mutters. There is a splotch of white that looks like paint on her sleeve. She heads over to the other professors and sits down. After listening to the conversation for a while she decides to voice her opinion.
"Personally, I think that house elves should be able to sign up for one extra class than the cleaning and cooking. We award them points, but to no specific house. Then, when they get sorted into a house, those points spring into that house's total. That way, elves don't need to be pre-sorted because the points won't matter until after they're sorted. And it would be completely random. How does that sound?"

Or, better yet, they have to earn X amount of points in order to be sorted on top of the post requiement... sweatdrop

I really like that idea....I could also keep a list in my classroom with those elves in student classes.

"So, let me get this straight. We can allow house elves to take one "magical academia" course while they are house elves (along with Cooking and Cleaning). And then if they turn in three homeworks from that class which are graded and given points for (to go in to a potential house), they are to be sorted early, as long as they meet the other requirements for sorting. Is that what I'm understanding?"
