Kewnew's heart sunk and crashed on impact with her now queasy stomach as Aryan gave his explanation. What was just told to her was simply repulsive.
"Aryan DeLuca"
She addressed the Sneasel before her properly, her battle-ready stance becoming less tense as she spoke and paused to let out a sob.
"If you ever even cross paths with me again, I will ******** kill you."
She concluded, voice serious and stern despite the tears that tattered her speech ever so slightly; without another word to the topic she about faced from her first love and departed from the room.

 AryanAryan sighed and stood up, wiping his forehead.
Dammit, Kewnew was really cute.
But, you can't win 'em all.
He still had Kai~
Aryan needed a little cheering up, so he ran off to find that hunk of sexy Marshtomp.

 - Bytes Bytes ran into the common room and looked around. "Where's the Mission Board?" He asked himself, his lousy sense of direction gotten him lost again."Man....This stinks"He said,crossing his arms and looking about."And what's with this place?"He looked about the Common Room.

 RicoRico walked into the common room, escorting Kewnew along with him.
There was a fan on, and the air was very helpful.
Fighting that hard tended to get one a little overheated.
"Thank Arceus there are couches," The Charmander said with a sigh.

At the Charmander's exclamation; Kewnew bound up onto one of the mentioned fluffy saviors. Slouched down comfortably against the backboard within seconds. It looked like she could fall asleep from exhaustion right there, but alas the adrenaline still racing through her system kept her awake and alert.
"This nonsense really has to stop soon..."
She alluded to the war with a sigh, waiting to be joined by her company.

RicoRico jumped up onto the couch.
Almost instinctively, he took Kewnew's hand in his own.
"War is just so stupid..." He muttered.
The Charmander had read about many different wars, and all were for dumb causes.

"Agreed."
Kewnew sighed out, collapsing under the Charmander's touch. If he was willing to hold her hand she had absolutely no problem with the awkwardness of slouching herself atop of him, her head rested comfortably on his shoulder. Unfortunately for Rico, he was far more relaxing than any nearby pillow.
"Nothing we can really do about it though."
She added to the previous statement a yawn apparent in your voice.
"Just keep fighting, getting stronger, and subjecting yourself to being used as guard dogs for this place."
It was obvious her viewpoint was slowly changing on the whole situation. Sure life was all fine and dandy but it seemed lately there was far too much hell she had to deal with as a team captain.

RicoRico sighed and rest his head on top of Kewnew's.
"At least we have things to cling to..." He said softly.
He turned his blue eyes to look at Kewnew's and smiled.
"Like you."

Kewnew almost scowled at Rico's words and actions. If he honestly wasn't purposely trying to make her any more infatuated, there was seriously something amazingly wrong with him.
"Not sure if that's worth risking your life for practically daily..."
She had to argue his point even though his words nearly melted her in place.
"We didn't belong out there today and we're damn lucky we actually lived through it."

RicoRico shrugged a little.
"Well, you're a team captain, you had every right to be out there," He said.
"And if you were out there, then I'd have to be there to help you!"
The blue fire on his tail flickered a little.
"Besides, I may not be a good fighter, but I'll still risk my life for my friends."

"That's not the point...Sure we played our parts out there but..."
The Treecko had to pause a moment before she spoke again; as if considering her next words may jinx them.
"We could've died out there..."
She peeped out, nearly bringing herself to tears at the thought. Despite the little time spent together; she wasn't sure if she could go on without Rico. He was practically her only actual friend.

RicoRico held Kewnew's hand tightly, wincing a little at the thought.
He didn't want to die.
Of course, he didn't want Kewnew to die, either.
"Well, we didn't die," He replied a little shakily.
"Whether it was because of our skills, or just pure luck, that still means something."
A smile broke the corner of his mouth.
"It means we're getting better at what we do."

Kewnew's expression lightened at the words given to her. There was some truth apparent in Rico's words whether he meant to get that point across or not. They were alive still and that's what mattered. She should be grateful rather than sitting around complaining. She should still press on and give her best in times like this because maybe there would come around a time when she is actually needed.
"Thanks..."
She muttered, most likely confusing the Charmander over what exactly she was thankful for; but realizing it or not he had just helped her out a lot with a fairly important crossroad that appeared in her life.
"Mind if you joined me somewhere?"
She asked, fairly vague with her question though an answer was needed before she continued. Undoubtedly she was going to need some company.
